Idris carries very little for a traveler. First of all he is convinced that he does not need armour with his magic, and thus does not wear any, believing that should he get hurt in battle, it is simply because his magic is faulty and he has to improve it.

On his back he carries a small satchel with some basic essentials for travelling, such as food, a wallet, some spare clothing and a cloak for cold or bad weather. It also contains a journal in which he records his magic studies, and a small golden harp.

As for weapons, Idris has a dagger tucked into his boot, but he is nto capable of using it for little else than basic defense and to carve meat of his plate. He has practiced throwing it, but with little success. Having never practiced swordfighting, much to his father's dismay, he is useless in a fight with melee weapons, relying solely on his magic to protect himself.

    Appearance:
Having never bothered with any form of exercise, Idris has a severe lack of muscles. His body has a thin build, with an elegant face with fine features, and long fingers, giving him an overall elegant appearance.

Idris' skin is pale, due to most of time being spend indoors reading, though it gets a few freckles when he gets into contact with sunlight. His hair is a fair blonde, slightly curly and kept short, and he has pale blue eyes. Of course, as natural for every Hylian, he has long pointy ears. Being of noble birth, Idris' parents have raised him to have the straight posture of a nobleman. This, coupled with his tendency to hold up his chin a little, gives him a somewhat arrogant look.

His usual outfit consists of a white silk shirt over a purple velvet tunic held together with a dark blue sash, worn with dark blue pants, and tall black boots. As a finishing touch Idris wears a white cravat around his neck.

    Personality:
An arrogant little bastard. While one would think that being born into a noble and well-off family has made him arrogant towards the less fortunate, the cause is rather his astonishingly high intelligence, which has made Idris come to the conclusion that everyone he meets is as dumb as a rock. He even considers his own family imbeciles, and therefore spends much of his time alone. As a reult of not getting a lot of contact with other people, his social skills are severly underdeveloped and clumsy, though Idris does not really notice this and is not particularly bothered if people point it out to him. Other people are idiots anyway.

He has a bad time "reading" people, often not realising they are angry or upset with him or his actions, and very often only makes things worse by saying the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time. Deep down he does have a friendly side, desperate for attention or a friend, but Idris does not quite understand these feelings and pushes them away. If there is one thing he cannot stand, it is something he does not understand, and those feelings are one of those things. Another one are women. It is not that he dislikes women in particular, he simply does not understand the way some of them act or think. Love is also an as of yet unknown concept to him. Apart from his mother, sisters and the female staff at his family's estate he has met little other women.

Idris also has the habit of thinking aloud while trying to solve puzzles. Other people tend to find it hard to follow him, as he speaks quickly when trying to solve something.

    Backstory:
Idris' youth is not exactly noteworthy. He grew up in a wealthy family consisting of his father, mother, two elder sisters and three younger sisters. His high intelligence has made him feel like an outsider from an early age, as other children of his age often did not understand him. Sometimes even his own parents seemed to have a hard time to deal with him. As such, a large part of his youth was spent in the library, solving every puzzle, cipher or riddle Idris could get his hands on. There was not a single one he could not solve.

Being the only son in his family, Idris' father raised him to become a politician much like himself, but Idris had little interest in diplomatics and the history of Hyrule. Warfare interesed him just as little, never showing up at sword training, but instead staying in his room to solve puzzles or create new ones to show to his sisters or the staff.

Around age six, strange things started to happen every time Idris got scared or upset. It was not until one night, a passing wizard who was staying with the family for the night, after a banquet, noticed an unusual shine in young Idris' eyes. The shine of magic. The wizard sensed a great potential in the boy, and offered his parents to train him. Idris' parents agreed, finally having found something that might interest their son.For the next five years the wizard trained Idris in the basic principles of magic, until one day, the boy told him he was quitting.

When asked why, Idris replied that he was better off teaching magic to himself, calling the wizard a senile old man who could only perform party tricks for bored nobles. Furious, the wizard went to Idris' parents, collected his payment and never returned to the Johansson estate.

In the following years, Idris dedicated himself to studying every kind of magic he could get his hands on.

It is now, after studying and practicing magic for 18 years, he has grown tired of studying at home, having read every magic book he could get his hands on, and that he sees himself fit to travel into the world to learn even more.

    Roleplaying History:
Stopping a Bombing: What started out as a gathering of high society ended in disaster. During the celebration, Idris picked up the trail of Harena, a fervent worshipper of Ganon and intent on sacrificing the partygoers. Despite his best efforts, she succeeded, and vanished without a trace. With no one able to prove Idris' innocence, his family decided to send him out of town until things would calm down.

Temple of Time: Deep into the woods, Idris came upon the ruins of a lost temple, and the archaeologist Terra. The mage accidentally opened up a door to the past, leading the duo to explore the temple in its ancient splendor. Unfortunately, Terra mysteriously disappeared during their expedition. Idris has not seen her since.

The Holiday Moblin (2013): Still banished from home, Idris wandered the cold desolation of Hyrule Field, until he was ambushed by a rather jolly and morbidly obese Moblin in a flying sled. Luckily, the encounter only left him with a bruise. And perhaps a damaged pride.

Lanayru Mining Facility: Deciding to make the best of his time spend away from home, Idris set out to hunt down interesting spells. Eventually his search brought him to the abandoned mine, where he met fellow noble Laurel. The two formed a rather... terse team, but eventually managed to overcome the monster lurking deep in the mine.

A Voice from the Shadows: Out of options, as wandering seemed to somehow end in near-mortal peril, Idris paused at a quaint village. To his great surprise, a shady figure brought him a message from his parents: he was finally allowed to return home.

Harvest Festival: At last, Idris returned home, though the initial welcome was... awkward, to say the least. Perhaps it was his unexpected arrival, perhaps still some lingering feelings from what happened at the ball, but his family did not appear to be overly excited at their only son's return. Idris did not seem to mind much, his thoughts already on his next adventure.

The Holiday Moblin (2015): Once again, the obese Moblin struck. Even in his own home Idris was not safe from the jolly beast. Although Idris is starting to suspect it may be more malicious than jolly, seeing as it struck him once again right in the face. No one's aim should be that good while hurtling through the sky on a sled drunk.
