    Luna, the Ice Princess
    Age: 20.
    Gender: Female.
    Race: Hylian.
    Power: *
    Wisdom: *****
    Courage: ***
    Elemental Affinity: [IMG]
    Class: Ice Mage.
    Alignment: Neutral Good.

    Home
Luna lives in the kingdom of Ikana with her boyfriend Horus and their fellow refugees Bertrand and Frederick. More specifically, they’ve made their home in a structurally intact ruin, where they have shelter from the elements. Although she is hesitant to call it such, it’s the only home Luna has ever consciously known.

    Companions
    - Horus Falconer: Luna's boyfriend and sworn protector. Despite his bluntness and ill temper, he is the most important person in Luna’s life and gods help those who harm him.
    - Cryo (Unusual Companion): Sharing Luna's affinity for ice, the massive icy bird Cryo was encountered and saved in the mountains of Ikana, and now serves as her (and Horus's, but mostly her) mount.
    - Bertrand (NPC): Horus’s godfather, right-hand-man, and best friend. By Horus’s request, Bertrand keeps an eye out for Luna and she considers him a dear friend. A bear of a man who fights with a massive battleaxe.
    - Frederick (NPC): A herbalist and wizard originating from Rauru, like Horus and Bertrand. Although he initially only joined with Horus’s group out of survival instinct, he has since become a valued and faithful companion.

    Acquaintances
    - Morgan Liesmith: A young Hylian man Horus and Luna first met when they sought herbs for Frederick's recovery. He seems to make his temporary home in Ikana, making it likely they'll bump into each other more often. Doesn't seem to like Cryo very much.

    Magic
    - Specialty {Ice}: Luna was born with a remarkable innate affinity for the element of ice. She easily picks up any new spells if they consist of, or can be altered into, icy magic, but struggles to control anything else.
    - Magic Proficiency: While she hasn’t had proper education, Luna is a natural when it comes to magical matters. Her strong affinity for ice limits her versatility, but her power is second to none- at least not that her companions know.
    - Magic Power 1: Combining her aptitude for magic and her affinity for ice allows Luna to recover more quickly from the magical strain of certain spells.
    - Distant Ice Enchantment: One of Luna’s most commonly used spells. Supportive in nature, it turns a weapon into a proxy for her magic, letting it freeze anything it strikes. It’s one of the most obvious ways in which she and Horus work together.
    - Wizard Foot {Ice Variant}: A volatile, but reliable spell Horus taught Luna so she could better defend herself in close quarters. Where Horus’s variant of the spell only greatly increases the power of his kicks, however, Luna’s adds her ice magic to hers.
    - Ice Shot: Luna’s ranged spell of choice, although she is trying to refine it into something more subtle. Regardless of actual temperatures, she can conjure up a spike of pure ice and physically propel it forwards.
    - Wall of Hazards {Ice Variant}: By designating either a line or a circle, Luna can cause a wall of blue fire to spring up at will. While it has limits in both height and width, she finds it makes a useful barrier between her and enemies.

    Instincts
    - Sense: Although a common power in Hylians, Luna’s sixth sense is remarkably fine compared to Horus’s. She cannot only detect hostile presences, but also the rough direction from which they come. In addition, she always seems to be aware of Cryo’s location and status.
    - Lovers' Bond {Horus Falconer}: Luna's love for and bond with her guardian Horus is so deep that he is an extension of herself; her Sense affects him, and she can tell when he’s in danger, as well as sensing his general direction and rough distance from her.
    - Spirit Form: Although it leaves her body vulnerable if unattended, Luna is capable of separating it from her soul. Without the anchor that is her body, she finds her spells are much easier to cast and control.

    Weapons
    - Whip: A mundane, leather whip. As Luna’s main weapon and tool, it packs a surprising punch.
    - Dagger: Given to her by Horus’s late father so she could defend herself, Luna’s is a perfectly mundane, but sharp dagger.

    Other Possessions
    - Snowshoe Ring: Luna’s most precious possession is a golden ring carved and filled out with sapphire. Horus gave it to her, cementing their relationship, and it holds the strange power to let her effortlessly walk across snowy and icy terrain.

    Appearance
Youngest and only female among the four refugees in Ikana, Luna understandably stands out like a sore thumb amongst them. She is comparatively very short, Horus standing a full head taller than her, and frighteningly pale; it’s been established that she suffers no physical illnesses that threaten her life and that her pale skin is just a quirk of her genetic make-up, but that doesn’t stop her friends from occasionally worrying about her and her health. Compared to her more physically-oriented companions, she is also of fragile and slim build, although looks can be very deceiving; Luna has very strong legs for a mage, owing to the fact that Horus has taught her how to use kicks as a means of self-defense.

As a child, Luna often had her hair cut short, but ever since Horus let slip that he prefers it long, she has grown it out, and by his urging that she has to at least take care of herself, she makes sure to wash and eat properly, making hers an almost surreal beauty that has no place in Ikana. Even among normal Hylians, however, she would stand out, with her waist-length, icy blue hair and her dark red eyes. Luna’s features are usually placid and passive, making her extremely hard to read. The only thing about Luna that is completely familiar to most Hylians is her pointed ears.

Luna’s clothes are very simple, as she is more interested in practicality than in beauty, and she usually settles for a one-piece, dark blue dress that stops just short of her knees, high cream boots and long fingerless cream gloves. As a mage, she has no need for armour and she uses very few weapons, but her whip and dagger are kept openly on the belt around her waist.

    Personality
While a generally valued and loved companion of the three male refugees in Ikana, none of them really knows much about Luna. In fact, ‘Luna’ is most likely not even this woman’s true name, as it was the one given to her by the refugees after she didn’t respond when asked for her own. She has improved greatly since that day, but is still incredibly uncomfortable around strangers; often trying to redirect attention to the more confident Horus either explicitly and verbally or implicitly by hiding behind him. Once she is familiar with someone, she slowly opens up more, although it is considered an achievement to get casual conversation out of her.

Luna feels she owes her life and everything she has to Horus, her sworn protector, and is unwaveringly loyal to him; she trusts him blindly, is completely at ease in his company, and has stated that she will do anything, no matter how dangerous or how wrong, if it would please or protect him. Her feelings for him go beyond simple loyalty and trust, however, as she loves him dearly and often worries for his safety when he throws himself into the thick of battle. As long as she is by Horus’s side, Luna is confident that they can overcome any monster or trial they are faced with.

Luna is a very analytical and rational person, who values facts and raw information above opinions and impressions; if possible, she will approach or judge a situation objectively rather than subjectively, and is quick to dismiss the opinions of anyone other than herself and Horus in her assessment. While this can make her tricky to get along with, it makes her a fabulous tactician as she can quickly and accurately analyse an enemy’s behaviour, attack pattern, or weaknesses. In addition to this, she’s good at making split-second decisions and executing emergency plans, and her well-timed spells have often turned the tide of a desperate battle in their favour.

    History
Luna’s early origins are a complete mystery. She doesn’t remember where she was born or even who her family was, only knowing that during Ganon’s invasion of Southern Hyrule, she was no longer there. She was found between Rauru and the Ikana mountains, when Pierce Falconer and his men passed through. By request of Pierce’s son Horus, she was taken into the group once it was established she carried no weapons on her and wasn’t infused with evil magic, and she’s been a protégée of the red-haired swordsman ever since.

The first few years in Ikana were hard on everyone, but especially on the fragile and delicate girl. Food was scarce, making hunting and foraging difficult but a raw necessity, and the refugees had to be able to protect themselves- something Luna was dreadfully incapable of. That she was almost completely closed off from those around her didn’t help either, and unbeknownst to her there were many who refused to feed her, forcing Horus to share his own rations with her on more than one occasion.

Horus took care of her in those days, as she watched him learn swordplay, archery, and a little magic, slowly growing into an asset rather than only another mouth to feed. Their number thinned quickly, something that left the group with mixed feelings; they lost their friends, yes, but a smaller group was easier to feed and maintain. Luna started to wonder if maybe there was something, anything at all, she could do to help the others and especially Horus, who had been so kind to her.

The answer wouldn’t come until after Pierce and his wife Alison died, leaving Horus in charge of the few survivors and cementing Luna’s position as a member of that group. Through a mishap on a hunting trip involving a ReDead and a moment of unawareness on Horus’s part, they discovered that Luna had an innate gift for Ice Magic, something she has since honed and works to perfect even today, serving as Horus’s tactician, adviser, and magical support in battle.

Over the course of the years, Luna has only grown closer and closer to her saviour, opening up more not only to him but to their two remaining companions as well, and generally becoming a little more socially capable day by day; where in the past she was completely closed off, today she is only shy and reserved. Her bond with Horus has grown beyond simple trust, and the two consider each other part of themselves; a bond that allowed Luna to fend off Death itself when it came for Horus too early. Recently, she has even started wearing the redhead’s ring, holding to it as a promise that even if they escape the dead clutches of Ikana, they will always be together.

Ikana is an unusual place to live, and so the two go through certain trials that seem surreal to inhabitants of the safer North. One of these trials occurred when the two somehow found themselves in a forest rather than at home, taking shelter from the rain in what turned out to be a temple housing a great evil. Upon cleansing the temple the two found their way home as inexplicably as they had left it, although Bertrand and Frederick insist the two had been asleep the whole time.

More disconcerting is when the very reality that holds Ikana seems to crumble, such as when the ReDead became much more aggressive than they used to be and the Stalfos, normally dedicated to protecting the inhabitants of Ikana, simply let them attack the living. Traversing the sewage system of Ikana to circumvent the sealed gates of the castle, Horus and Luna confronted King Igos in hopes of getting answers, only to find His Majesty maddened by a curse that was not broken until they bested him in battle. Their King requested their help in quelling it by cutting it off at the source, before it would rob all Undead in Ikana of their sanity and reduce them to mere monsters.

They agreed, but had to put the investigation and purification on hold on account of their companion Frederick recovering poorly from a ReDead bite sustained because of the curse. They set out to gather herbs for a restorative concoction, meeting with an enormous icy bird on the way. Having befriended the bird, delivered the herbs, and ensured the now-swift recovery of their friend, the two can finally turn their sights on the Stone Towers where the curse originated…

At least, that was the plan, until they stumbled across a rip in the fabric of reality. Curious and concerned, Luna investigated, Horus by her side, and both were hurled through it, ending up on the other side of Hyrule. Learning that a portal to another world had opened up, spewing monsters and claiming the lives of everyon sent through to investigate it, Luna and Horus offered their expertise in dealing with Undead and Luna proved instrumental in destroying the evil within the portal. Afterwards, they were flung back to Ikana by just as inexplicable means, not knowing if they helped seal the portal.

And only time will tell what else fate has in store for these two.

    Cryo, the Ice Loftwing
    Species: Loftwing.
    Gender: Male.
    Power: ***
    Wisdom: *
    Courage: ***
    Elemental Affinity: [IMG]

    Innate Traits
    - Frigid Composition: By means unknown, Cryo’s biology is significantly different from that of his fellow Loftwings. He is entirely impervious to cold and instead even more afraid of fire than most wild animals. In addition, his body is frigid, cold steam coming off his feathers at all times.
    - Winged Flight: Like any other Loftwing, Cryo has a pair of large wings that let him fly. He can carry two Hylian-sized passengers on his back, but no more.
    - Navigation: Cryo has the uncanny ability to remember any terrain he has flown over flawlessly and find his way through Ikana, its mountains, and gods know where else effortlessly.

    Powers
    - Ice Breath: Perhaps as a result of his unusual biology, Cryo is able to expel freezing winds from his beak. This breath attack can damage small and weaker enemies, freeze most enemies in place, and give larger, stronger enemies pause.

    Appearance
In many ways, Cryo looks like a typical Loftwing; he is a bird with a comically large bill. His size being comparable to that of a large draught horse, he is capable of carrying up to two Hylian-sized passengers, although most often one of those will have to be Luna. His belly and face are covered in white downy feathers, while his back and wings are decked with bright, icy blue pinions.

Unlike most Loftwings, Cryo has cold steam coming off his feathers at all times due to his unusual biology. This makes him tricky to ride without some protection from the cold, since his body never warms up, but an extra layer of clothes suffices as protection- Horus and Luna are looking into a saddle.

    Personality
Cryo’s huge size and frightful power of breathing ice over anyone he doesn’t like belies the giant’s gentle nature. He is normally quiet, only squawking when startled or upset, but when he squawks he does so loudly enough to be heard from far away, making him a good guard bird. His temper is as cold as his feathers, with few things truly angering or scaring him, although any sort of fire is sure to send him into a panic.

Cryo tends to be fond of people, but especially loves Luna. He often helps out by carrying her and Horus to their hunting grounds, saving their strength for the actual hunting, or by crashing into enemies or freezing them; Cryo is equally capable of travel and combat, unafraid of most types of enemies. He’s not as comfortable with strangers, however, and when carrying a strange passenger he usually needs Luna to ride with them in order to quell his nervousness.

    History
Cryo was most likely born in the Mountains of Snowhead and lived a nomadic life until finally, his wings took him to Ikana. There, he found himself hunted by a camp of Moblins who thought to eat him for dinner, and was struck by a flaming arrow that caused him to reel into the nearby mountains.

This was a stroke of luck, however, as Horus, Luna, and Morgan just happened to be foraging in those mountains and saved him from his pursuers. Luna even used her ice magic to close up his wounds; out of gratitude and a quickly formed bond between himself and the mage, Cryo helped fend off the Moblins and opted to stay in Ikana as the duo’s mount.
