    Hylian

    Place of Origin:
    Darunia

    Residence:
    Ikana

    3/1/5

    Treasures:

    Equipment:
Morgan travels lightly, carrying only a small blade and a set of daggers with him. He needs little else for his isolated lifestyle, especially considering he rarely leaves Ikana Canyon. He does, however, often take his longshot with him, as it makes trips up the canyon walls a lot easier.

In battle he relies on hit-and-run tactics instead of brute force, as he has a rather frail constitution after a severe illness he suffered as a child. It robbed him of most of his strength, and as such he is also incapable of carrying heavy loads with him for long distances.

    Rupees:
    128

    Height:
    1,71 meters

    Weight:
    71 kilos

    Appearance:
Like his brothers, Morgan has a sharp face and pale gray eyes, though he is shorter and skinnier than the other two, even though he trains regularly. He is the only one of the three Liesmith brothers to have blonde hair, and usually has it tied back, though a few unruly strands often escape and frame his face. Not paying too much attention to his appearance, as Morgan has lived far away from society for a long time, he looks rather scruffy. Being in a place with almost no shelter from the sun, he has a very slight tan.

He dresses in simple clothes; blue trousers, a white shirt and a short leather jacket. He also has a red bandana tied around his neck to keep the worst of the sun off his skin, as well as protect his face from sand when it is particularly windy. All are faded and tattered from a life in the wilds. Morgan tries to mend them on his own, but sewing and patching up clothes is not his forte, and it shows.

    Personality:
He is not as ruthless or friendly as his elder brothers, fitting somewhere between them in terms of personality. Morgan is loud-mouthed and reckless, often rushing in without thinking, and can be incredibly stubborn. Once he has a goal in mind, it is hard to get him to let it go. He is so focused on becoming stronger he often forgets that there are other things in life, such as eating or sleeping.

Due to his isolation from others, as he has precious little contact with civilisation in Ikana, Morgan can be a little awkward in social situations. Growing up on the streets, and without parents, as well as living in a desolate wasteland for years means manners are not his strong suit. He has a grasp of basic politeness, but has trouble putting it to use. If present, he sticks with his brothers, as they are the only people he trusts completely, letting them do the talking.

The concept of good and evil is a vague subject for Morgan. He will not seriously injure of attack anyone unless provoked, but he thinks very little of stealing or other unsavoury means of earning money. After all, it is how he survived childhood.

    Backstory:
Morgan was the third of the three shoemaker’s sons. As a child he caught the same illness that killed his parents. But, by a stroke of luck (and later he would say his only stroke of luck) he more or less survived. More or less. While he lived, the illness left him with a frail body and weak health, as well as a persistant cough. He does not remember much of his parents, as he was very young when they passed. Life on the streets is the only life he knows.

His frailness and weakness are what made him dedicated to becoming stronger. Watching his brothers work for the three of them, while Morgan himself was often down with various colds and fevers, made him feel guilty. Whenever he could, he tried to help Locke and Lamont out, as well as trying to find ways to make himself stronger. He searched endlessly, honing his combat skills, practicing stealth, anything that could help him, but he found no one or nothing that he felt helped him enough. The royal army was no option, as the guards knew him too well as a troublemaker, and the few trainers in town that were not guards or people he had robbed, threathened or had somehow become victim to one of his criminal endeavours, were too soft in Morgans opinion. He usually left them after a few weeks of training.

Eventually he started to lose hope, and came close to giving up and accepting the fact he would never grow over his frailty. But then, one night, he overheard a group of guards talking to eachother about a region far to the south. The ancient kingdom of Ikana. The idea of the monster village, settled in the heart of the old kingdom, was an odd one for Morgan, but interesting nonetheless. Legends and rumours of a colossal tower, hiding mountains of treasure was intruiging too. Perhaps monsters would be better teachers than the more 'civilised' races. Morgan spent his free time studying all he could find about Ikana, often getting chased out of the library when he stayed way past closing time.

After a brief reunion with his brothers, which ended up in Morgan and Locke being chased out of town, he decided it was time to try and fulfill his wish of becoming strong. He left Darunia behind, travelling south with merchant caravans and bands of mercenaries and other travellers. The last part of the journey he made alone, as none of his companions had any wish nor intention to go to such a desolate place.

Life in Ikana has been hard, perhaps even harder than life on the streets, as Morgan has no one to look after him. But he has not let it stop him, yet. Ever since he arrived, he has been training, learning from the monsters in the village, and finally, slowly growing just a little stronger each day. His goal is to one day climb the fabled Stone Tower, to prove himself he is finally strong, as well as to claim the treasure inside. Only then he will allow himself to return north, to his brothers.

    Roleplaying History:
    A Healthy Encounter:
On a regular trip for supplies, Morgan ran into something he never expected to find in Ikana; fellow Hylians. The duo Horus and Luna were on a search for a cure for one of their companions, a special herb that only grows in the highlands around the canyon. High in the mountains, they encountered a strange icy bird, who developed a bond with Luna. Morgan was shocked to discover there were others in Ikana, but happy for the company. Although perhaps less happy for the company of the bird.

The Holiday Moblin (2018): On a hot dusty day, Morgan attempted to recreate the midwinter festivities from his youth; writing a wishlist to the obese drunkard distributing gifts each year. And succesfully, it seemed, as several nights later a solid golden crate appeared in front of his door. While the gold did not last, Morgan had several cool new gadgets to keep him entertained and help him on his way.
