When Jayden picked her up, Abigail gasped, half in pain and half from surprise. She supposed he could be a gentlemen when the situation called for it, as well. Still, she hadn't been expecting to be scooped up, and she had no idea what to do once she was in his arms.

As they fell she contented herself to listen to his breathing, soft and steady. Unlike the terrain surrounding them she could feel the heat radiating off him. She blinked and shook her head. What was she thinking?

Regardless, she had somehow calmed down by the time they descended. She wasn't sure why the others seemed convinced of the soup's helpfulness, but she went ahead and stumbled over, taking some and letting it warm her throat on the way down. Suddenly, she felt her bruises healing, her bones mending. She shuddered. It was an odd sensation.

"Mirror, huh," she murmured after the initial shock as Yeto started speaking about it excitedly. "I wonder what it does?"

Jayden set Autumn down after catching her, and went himself to get a bowl of the soup. It was absolutely delicious, and the magical effects of it were amazing. He ate his portion of the soup, then went over to the cauldron, looking inside.

It looked simple enough, but what was the source of it's healing power? There had to be a trick to it. "Hey Yeto, what say you let me know about the recipe for this soup? I often cook for a bunch of culinarily inept warriors, so something like this would be amazing." He even bottled some up for later in his canteen, just in case.

He then turned towards the girls. "Now that we've got the key we can make our way up to the bedroom." The second the final word of the sentence passed his lips, he came to the realization of how that may have sounded. Goddamn Lando must have been affecting him more than he thought... He flushed red. "I-I just mean to investigate the mirror..."

Once Autumn regained her composure, she took the key from Jayden. "We'll find out what's in there soon. I don't plan to wait for much longer."

"Wait, uh..." As Yeto started picking up the enormous cauldron again, Yeta suddenly came out of the kitchen.

    "Oh... Yeta."

"Going to bedroom?" the smaller Yeti asked, "Yeta go too... Husband clean up mess in kitchen..." Yeto looked very guilty for a second, and Yeta waggled out in front of the trio.

She led them to a large tower and up the stairs, where Autumn used the key they had taken from Darkhammer to unlock the large, double doors. The female yeti went in first, walking straight towards what seemed to be a shard of a mirror. It looked sharp, but also to be a quarter of a circular mirror.

    "Mirror here, uh..."

"Yes." All of Autumn's senses sprung to alerting her when she saw the mirror. There was no doubting it was the source of the evil. "You may move away from it, Yeta... I'll take it."

"Pretty mirror..." Yeta's voice sent a shiver down the Guardian's spine. Did it sound different? "Mirror Yeta, uh... not take mirror..." With every word Yeta said, her voice became deeper and raspier... Autumn's hand reached for her quiver as the Yeti's voice kept going further and further into deformation.

And then, Yeta turned around. Her face reduced to a demonic visage, she shouted "NOT TAKE MIRROR!" and encased herself and the room both in ice. Autumn shot, but it was no use- her arrow bounced off the ice harmlessly as the new, monstrous Yeta formed large icicles around her and took to the ceiling.

    "S-she's a monster..."

Abigail watched in horror at Yeta's transformation, and as this new ice-wielding... dare she call it an "enemy?" rose to the ceiling. Something about it, other than the more obvious fact that a kindly yeti friend had just turned into some horrible flesh-eating, bone-chilling monster. Looking at the icicle she had enclosed herself in, it hit her.

That icy chamber looked like a coffin...

She couldn't do much other than watch as the other, smaller ice spires floated around Yeta, and then started to target the group. She tried to run, but slipped and fell, skidding away into the wall. The floor had turned to ice with Yeta's transformation, but she hadn't noticed. She propped herself back up and hurriedly kicked off it, turning in a circle along the wall; she wanted to stay close to it, that way she could use it to kick off of if she needed a boost. More of the tall, frozen spikes rained down among the trio, but it was getting harder to predict their movements... She looked down to catch her footing and realized the floor was acting as a perfect mirror, so she could use that to tell where the attacks would come from, rather than gazing overhead all the time.

Unfortunately, Abigail had obtained this knowledge too late. About five of them crashed down around her, pinning her against the wall, as others dropped outside, presumably an attack on Autumn and Jayden. She looked up...

The spiked chamber of Blizzeta steadily rose, preparing to force a grisly end to her tale.

Jayden saw the mirror, and his senses went mad... Something was very wrong... When he heard Yeta's voice going raspy, he pulled out Heko Pesaga, doing the same as Autumn.

Unfortunately her terrifying scream drew in the blizzards from outside, coating her in ice. It was strange though... Jayden found himself stunned in thought. He'd felt it before... This presence was almost... Casual to him... As it he knew it well.

That was impossible though, as Jayden had never fought anything like this but the White Wolfos up in Snowhead area, and that was one fight! Why did this feel so familiar?!

He was torn from his thoughts as he saw a shadow over him. A massive pillar of ice plunged down, and Jayden narrowly dodged it, but immediately charged his Pegasus boots, assessing the situation. Abby was boxed in and needed help immediately. Using the burst from his Pegasus boots, he saw along the walls where they met the floor was curved, so that's what he'd use.

He dashed at high speed, sloping up the wall and back down, using his momentum and speed to scoop up Abby as he reached the floor again. This next part was risky, but he had to try. It's what armor's for, ain't it?

He dropped his shoulder into the pillar his maneuver took him towards, blasting through it and causing icy shards to go everywhere. Jayden's feet were also low, where the ice wasn't broken, so he was sent sprawling.

He released Abby before he landed, afraid he'd land on her if he didn't. She did, however, slide next to him against the opposite wall just as the monstrous behemoth of ice landed. Jayden immediately scrambled to his feet, pulling Abby up with him. "Come on, get up! How the hell do we even fight this thing?!"

Autumn dove out of the way of an icicle, immediately regretting her harsh action as once more she was confronted with her new mortal enemy- a slippery, frozen floor. At least when she fought Stjarnstill she had proper footing. She fell face-first into the ice, barely rolling out of the way of a second icicle. How were they ever going to get through to- there. Now that all the icicles were down, Blizzeta had stopped moving as it seemingly tried to summon them back up to her. It was a massive opening, a large, still target that a sniper like Autumn could not miss.

She fired up quickly, not bothering to really aim her bow since Blizzeta was so huge a target anyway. However, her arrow bounced off of the monster's ice cage harmlessly, maybe having chipped it slightly, but Autumn knew that was wishful thinking. This thing wasn't natural. Of course her arrows had little use... she caught it as it came back down tip-first, and damaged, throwing it aside. Meanwhile, the second round of icicle-dodging had come in... except this time Blizzeta itself came down after its missiles.

A deafening roar resonated through the room, shaking the ice walls and floor, as Blizzeta herself was sent slowly ricocheting off the wall, not unlike the Mini Freezzard from before. When Autumn looked up, she found herself looking at an enraged Yeto, sledgehammer in two massive hands, and when she looked at Blizzeta she saw a massive dent in the ice cage. "What do in bedroom, uh?!" Yeto shouted, obviously not recognizing his wife, "Away! AWAY!" When Blizzeta bounced back at him, Autumn saw what she had missed the last time- Yeto swinging the hammer back and lashing out at the block of ice, expanding the already huge dent in it and sending it away a second time.

Abigail winced as the din and chaos of battle raged around her. She was snatched out of death's jowls only to be tossed into a wall. She barely had struggled back to her feet when Yeto reappeared, and he did not look happy. He made a sizable dent in Yeta's frozen barrier with a mighty crack of his hammer, sending her careening about like that miniature ice monster from before. Abigail tried to protect her face as the mad skidding of the ice monster sent icy dust spraying at her face.

She was shivering. Not only from cold but from fear of the terrible clash before her. She already knew without thinking that what she was witnessing was beyond her. She didn't have anything even remotely powerful enough to put a dent in Blizetta's shell, and she couldn't drop a heavy object on her like the Darkhammer. Even if she had one on hand she had no way of getting it down and no way to guarantee the safety of everyone else.

For now, all she could do was dive out of the way whenever Blizetta's ricocheting form came in her direction.

Jayden dove out of the way of the careening form of Blizetta as she bounced away from Yeto’s massive swing. He fell into a frozen over shelf, not caring what he landed on until he actually looked down at it. “Who the hell keeps THAT in their bedroom?” Regardless, he picked it up, pulling extra hard to release it from the icy grasp. “Now I’ve got a chance…”

He looked back at Yeto, who was trying to whack at Blizetta, who’d gone back into the air. Jayden charged his Pegasus boots, sprinting back at the wall closest to Blizetta and running up it, kicking off at the last second. This put him onto the ice mass, where he saw Yeto herself in her demonic glory.

He dodged left, shimmying around the top of the cold surface. What he had dodged was one of the smaller ice chucks, which had tried to hit him, instead embedding itself in Blizetta. It pulled out, but when Jayden looked back, it was perfect. He reached into his newfound bomb bag, pulling one out and lighting the fuse. He then tossed it into the hole the shard had created, jumping off Blizetta.

The landing was less than graceful, and rather painful at that, as Jayden rolled to the ground, slipping on the ice. Just in time too, as soon a rain of shrapnel burst out as the bomb went, eliciting a cry from Blizetta and blasting away much of the ice surrounding her.

Between Yeto and Jayden, Blizzeta had been horrendously damaged and largely exposed. However, Autumn realized it wasn't the easiest angle to shoot through. How fortunate that she was the finest archer around at the moment... Taking a fresh arrow to hand, she circled around the ice mass, looking for the right position.

Yeto was still furious, not even looking at the Hylians around him as he took another swing at the monster. Autumn got an idea, climbing onto the roof of the bed in the room. If she stood straight, and Blizzeta was far enough away... yes. Perfect. She sent an arrow into the hole blasted open by Jayden, causing Blizzeta to spin around and gaze at her, and removing her target from view. Damn.

Blizzeta charged, knocking over the bed and sending Autumn tumbling. Fortunately the Guardian was fast, managing to land on her feet. "Yeto, think fast!" She took her Deku Leaf from her belt and unrolled it, seeing it was miraculously untouched by the frost (protected by the Wolfos pelt on her shoulders perhaps?). As Blizzeta approached her, the Guardian waved the Leaf at the monster, sending it reeling back to Yeto.

Yeto proved himself capable of quick thinking, or just violence, as he brought his hammer down with enough strength to shatter the entire ice cage of Blizzeta. When the cold debris cleared up, Autumn saw that it was Yeta that was lying on the floor in front of her husband... and slowly but surely, the room started thawing out.

As bombs and hammers clashed Abigail closed her eyes, a shattering sound passing through her ears, reverberating off the room.

And when she opened her eyes once more, Abigail straightened up, allowing a single puff of breath out of her lips. She hadn't noticed she was holding it, the awe of the terrible forces and sounds crashing around before her eyes stealing it silently, accelerating her heartbeat with a quiet intensity.

"I-is it over?" Her voice shook a little as the room thawed around them, and hesitantly, with painfully deliberate movements, approached Yeta. She seemed to be back to normal... but whatever that mirror had done Abigail definitely did not like it. The mirror shard lay in front of Yeta, who had lost her grip on it during the final strike. She knelt down and picked up the shard, carefully avoiding the jagged, broken edges of it.

    "Is this what did that...?"

"Don't touch it, Abigail," Autumn immediately interrupted. She took the Mirror shard from the girl's hands, looking into it herself. Wolfos whined at her feet, but Autumn didn't turn evil. Not that the mirror didn't try. She felt the presence of something surreal inside her head, tugging at her thoughts, trying to move her hands and feet against her will.

Autumn resisted, however, listening only to the voice that whispered to her of manipulating wind and putting its power into a weapon for personal use. It might be an interesting thing to try applying to her arrows later, but for now she would be fine.

When she looked at the two Yetis, she saw that Yeto had picked up Yeta and they were cuddling now. "Let's get going, you two. I believe our work is done here."

Jayden sighed in relief as the fight finally ended. He sheathed his sword, thankful that Yeta was back to normal now, and hopefully not dead. When he saw Autumn pick up the mirror shard and stare into it, he quickly took it and hid it from her view behind him. Those things were dangerous... Why was she looking into it?! “This is a dark artifact that causes strange things to happen to those who use them. Or in this case, those who look at it.” He slipped it into a small sack and put it in his bag. “I’ll dispose of it properly.”

He glanced back over at Yeto and Yeta, who were having a cute little scene. Unfortunately, Jayden now felt the tug of the Mirror to look at it, something which he refrained from doing. If there was one thing he inherited from his father, it was Willpower. The knight leaned against the wall that was now thawed, closing his eyes. Man, this would be one hell of a mission report. "You ready to go, Abby?"

When Autumn made her way back to the entrance of the ruins and stepped beyond them, she saw that the blizzard had subsided. Just out of curiosity, she took an arrow out of her quiver and tried following the instructions the mirror had given her earlier. When she let the arrow fly, it soared past a Keese that immediately came loose from the rock formation it clinged to, flapping around a little disoriented as if it had been hit by a strong gust of wind.

Autumn liked the way that looked. For now though, she had to find her way back to the Lost Woods... and that meant she had to find a way to climb back up that slippery slope.
