    Home and Business: The Minishop
A small rickety building sits along the main path to Hyrule Castle Town, looking like it might be abandoned but for a fresh looking sign proclaiming the place to be the Minishop. Garnette, the establishments business manager and owners best friend, is responsible for the name. Oryn could not think of a better name and Garnette's other suggestions were even worse than Minishop. Oryn also let the name slide since Garnette scored a great deal on the building purchase itself.

    Equipment:
The Deed- Title for ownership of his business. This and appropriate licenses are kept securely locked in the shop itself. Oryn also has the form of the shops keys memorized and can duplicate them if they are ever lost or damaged.
Yew Slingshot and smooth stones- A very well made but plain example of the weapon.
Jeweled Steel Dagger- Made of quality steel the cross guard and handle are rose gold fitted with small sapphires.
Sewing Kit- Much more extensive than many kits and this is just Oryn's travel bundle.
Jewel cutters tools- The tools of an expert they are very expensive and delicate instruments.
Small Hammer and chisel- Used mainly for taking ore samples, extracting raw gems. Not very practical for intensive mining.

    Height: 3'3"
    Weight: 50 lbs.
    Appearance:
At first glance Oryn is a very cute Picori girl with a voice to match. Oryn is actually a very effeminate boy, but he either does not note the misperception or he just plays along anyway. The idea there is to avoid awkward moments correcting everyone he meets but this tends to backfire, sometimes badly, later on. Oryn has smaller ears than the average Picori and a smaller nose making him look a bit more human than mouse-like. Oryn has very pale, almost white skin, and the usual black Picori eyes but with very long lashes. His soft, feminine features and slight build further contribute to the constant gender confusion. His hair is long and straight and usually swept back but it may fall to the sides or in front of his face. His hair is naturally white blonde but he likes to keep it dyed pink.

Oryn really likes clothes. One might even say he is a little obsessed with threads. He is almost always wearing a quality outfit, often different from day to day, unless traveling. He also wears feminine clothing as often as anything masculine or androgynous. When traveling he prefers an elegant robe with silver designs in black or white depending on how dirty the journey is likely to be. He also has many covers and decorations for his gnat hat, since plain red simply does not go with every outfit. As a professional jeweler Oryn often spruces up his creations with gems purchased or cut personally. At the very least he has more than a few choice bracelets necklace to compliment his ensemble.

    Personality:
Oryn is a sweet girl, er... whatever. She He is kind, friendly, and understanding towards almost everyone he meets. He likes to give others the benefit of the doubt or at least a second chance, keeping in mind he is far from perfect, himself. Oryn is quite passive which can be a blessing and a curse from one moment to the next. On one hand he is very likable and rarely ruffles anyone's feathers, so to speak. However, he can also be a pushover or outright cowardly. Very often he just goes along with being misgendered, telling himself it's no big deal. And secretly he enjoys the extra attention. The truth is Oryn is afraid of conflict and causing awkward or uncomfortable situations. But when someone finds out he is not quite what they thought later rather than sooner the result is generally worse. Despite knowing this could happen Oryn keeps fooling himself into thinking everything will be fine.

Oryn can also be a little painfully shy and awkward, usually with someone he really likes. He is even more off balance when he attracts a particular kind of female attention. He is pretty submissive as well as rather oblivious and clumsy on his feet. Many that like the cute, submissive type find these shortcomings adorable, usually. Others find it to be kind of exasperating. Oryn is shaky when it comes to commitment and has few long term close friends. As for stable romantic relationships he has had none and rarely has the problem been Oryn's partner.

Despite being insecure and something of a clutz Oryn is exceptionally good with his hands. This reinforces his artistic eye with a practical skill in his jewel cutting and outfitting. He is very precise in his work and he shows dedication to his craft that is often absent in other aspects of his life. This translates well into the use if weapons such as the slingshot or crossbow, the former being a preferred weapon. Of course, he would much rather just run away or hide from danger.

    Background:
Oryn has lived his entire life in Hyrule Castle Town. Much of his early life was spent with the other Picori settled in the ceiling if the Grand Library. Even as a child Oryn was fascinated by the larger races, and spent much of his time watching the library's visitors. The flowing clothes Hylians wore in so many different cuts and colors caught his eye and sparked his own creativity. Oryn at first tried to make his own things, mostly out of scrap that he found. While he did have an artistic eye his early creations were... unrefined. Noticing how interested Oryn was in making new and interesting clothes his parents asked their own fitter to teach him the basics. Oryn took to the teaching very well and even started to hope that one day maybe he could become a professional outfitter.

In time he learned all he could from his Picori teacher and expressed a desire to learn even more. He asked if he could go among the Hylians themselves and learn from their clothiers. Though hesitant his parents had also been concerned Oryn was not socializing enough, and they supposed some time out in Castle Town itself might inspire him to make some friends. Swearing to keep his home a secret and donning a Gnat Hat Oryn set out on his own to follow his dreams.

Oryn took to life among the Hylians of Castle Town very well, finding it to be almost everything he had hoped for. He did have some minor trouble adjusting, surprised at how Hylian society revolved so strongly around currency. He quickly learned he would have to get some kind of job and pay for a place to live. Unfortunately, he could find no skilled outfitter willing to take him on and eventually he had to settle for the next best thing; an amateur assistant to an overworked blacksmith. The work was hard and Oryn was not well suited to working a smithy or forge. But he got by on sheer determination and started leaning new things he realized would help him be a better outfitter in the long term. The smith was glad for Oryn's positive attitude and noted how skilled the Minish was at putting the finishing details on a piece of armor, or the simple jewelry sometimes made. Oryn even had the dexterity for raw gem cutting. But the smith also noted forge work was hard on the three foot tall creature. He supposed finding new help would not be that difficult, so he decided to help the young Picori. He recommended Oryn to a watchmaker he knew that could offer better pay and work that was not so tough on him.

Oryn worked for this watchmaker, and older, kindhearted Hylian man, for several years. The Picori started as a more general assistant and maid of sorts, but in time learned some of the watchmaking trade, too. Also, during this time, Oryn met his future best friend, Garnette. Garnette was a Mogma and daughter of one of the watchmakers own close friends. The girl, only a few years older than Oryn, was following in her fathers footsteps, learning business management. While Oryn was not likewise obsessed with the making of money the two still became fast friends. It was Garnette that first suggested Oryn try to open his own shop rather than keep looking for someone else to work under. Garnette even volunteered herself to be Oryn's personal accountant and business manager. At first Oryn was resistant to the idea, too nervous about the prospect of running his own place. But Garnette was relentless and wore him down until Oryn finally gave in. Interestingly enough Garnette had already made the necessary preparations and appointments to purchase the building and all relevant licenses. How thoughtful.
