Although born and largely raised in Kokiri Forest, Lyra moved to the North of Hyrule a while ago to hone her healing powers. She currently lives with Dame Rosalind in Castle Town as her live-in apprentice.

    Companions:
    - Hector (Fairy Companion): Lyra’s fairy is a clever and hardworking, but shy and insecure male specimen named Hector. While he lacks the courage to scout very far away from her, he's very knowledgeable on monsters and races that Lyra has previously encountered, and can figure most new ones out within seconds of catching sight of them. Additionally, he somehow manages to see how much magic power Lyra has left to work with, and warns her when she's running low.

    Acquaintances
    - Dame Rosalind (NPC): An elderly woman with an impressive mastery over healing magic and some alchemy. Dame Rosalind is Lyra’s mentor and landlady, in whose house she lives as she studies her craft.

    Healing Magic
    - Specialty {Healing}: Lyra was born with a particular aptitude for magic that heals rather than hurts. Over the years, she has honed this innate gift, and it has made it very easy on her to learn new specific healing spells. However, it comes at the cost of her being largely unable to grasp any other kind of magic without long hours of effort.
    - [MAJOR] Life: By channeling her power through her staff and focusing for a few seconds, Lyra can make most wounds on an ally heal on their own. The spell is less powerful and takes longer to cast on herself.
    - Detox: Putting one hand on her patient's chest and clutching her staff with the other, Lyra can remove all but the hardiest of illnesses and poisons from their body. She can cast this spell on herself, as well, but that's more draining and takes more time.
    - Purify: A spell similar to Detox in effect, but different in execution. While Lyra can still simply touch her target's body, she can also use this over a long range, conjuring up a beam of light that cleanses her chosen target or targets of any magical effects such as curses and hexes.
    - Revive: By touching an unconscious individual, Lyra can channel her magic to bring them back to consciousness. There appear to be no side effects to being Revived in this manner, as long as the target is otherwise healthy.

    Instincts
    - Eternal Youth: Being of the Kokiri Tribe, Lyra is eternally bound into the form of a Hylian child despite being well over a hundred years old. She will never age, and her life expectancy is significantly longer than that of a Hylian.
    - Language of Fauna: Lyra is capable of communicating with all animals, from insects to dragons, on a telepathic level. She finds that many animals are actually more capable of intelligent conversation than some humans.

    Weapons
    - Staff: A staff carved from birch wood and treated, encasing a light emerald in the top. Lyra channels all her magic through this staff to make it easier to cast, and in case of emergency, it can serve as a bludgeon.

    Appearance:
Like most Kokiri, Lyra could pass for a Hylian child with ease, in her particular case a noble about twelve or thirteen years of age. She’s five feet tall, give or take an inch, with a fair complexion and a frail build consistent with a noble’s young daughter. Further adding to the illusion are her sharply pointed ears, characteristic of not only Kokiri but also Hylians. More fitting for a Kokiri, however, is the forest green colour of her bright, intelligent eyes. Lyra’s hair is waist-length and straight, curling up slightly at the very bottom. She has no bangs, keeping them brushed to the side and tucked behind her ears along with the rest.

Kokiri are commonly portrayed to dress predominantly in shades of green, but Lyra’s clothing choices are more typical of a traditional healer – religious or not. She wears a white dress with elbow-length, wide sleeves, which falls rather widely from the waist down and stops just short of the ground when she stands straight. Both the sleeves’ hems and the skirt’s have been lined with gold thread. Over this dress, Lyra wears a sash matching the colour of her hair, and she has been seen tucking separate herbs between this sash and the dress.

Since Lyra primarily performs her healing with magic rather than herbs and potions, she carries no bags or satchels of any kind, and her sash is not suitable for attaching any to. The only implement Lyra carries is a birchwood staff, little over half as tall as she is, and treated with an unknown agent that makes it sturdier and rot-proof. At the top, the birch partially encases a jewel the size of her hand, in a faint pastel green.

Wherever she goes, Lyra is followed around by a small ball of light, the colour of which varies between magenta and plum purple depending on who you ask.

    Personality:
While Lyra’s body is that of a child, anyone who has interacted with her to the smallest extent knows that Lyra herself is anything but. She makes no effort to hide the fact that she is both far older and far more mature than her appearance implies, freely showing her calm and wise nature. While panic is something Lyra is familiar with under the right circumstances, no one has ever been able to catch her losing her temper and treating a patient, ally, or even enemy with anything but the greatest respect and the patience of an angel.

This may imply Lyra is a sheltered, home-sitting girl, but she is everything but. Her adventurousness is part of the reason the Great Deku Tree let her leave Kokiri Forest and sent her to the North, and she frequently joins exploring parties into dangerous territory as their field healer. She’s certainly not fearless and prefers to keep to the back, but what she lacks in combat skills she more than makes up for in healing magic and utility skills; as a former inhabitant of a dense forest, Lyra is a fairly skilled tracker and can name most species of flora and their most important properties.

For obvious reasons, Lyra does not venerate the Golden Goddesses and her magic doesn’t come from her faith. Unexpectedly, she has recently discovered that it doesn’t come from nature around her, either- her power has not diminished in the slightest since coming to Castle Town. Lyra draws power entirely from her own confidence, meaning she is reliable and powerful for as long as she stays calm.

Lyra is very knowledgeable not only in the field of magical healing, but also in Hylian anatomy in general. While she can treat any Hylian-like races (such as Gerudo, Kokiri, and Sheikah) based off of the similar anatomy and they are her specialty, she falls slightly short in the field of more complex races (Such as Gorons and Dekus). However, she is hard-working and eager to learn, hoping to one day be able to treat any ally within seconds, regardless of race or injury.

    History
When very young, even to Kokiri standards, Lyra (or rather, Hector) discovered that she had an aptitude for the magic with which she could heal her friends’ wounds. It would often happen that those who got hurt playing came to Lyra and got their scrapes and bruises taken care of.

It wasn’t until a good many years later that the Great Deku Tree found the situation outside the forest disturbing and threatening to the forest and she was sent out of the forest. Knowing of several high-level magicians in Zora’s Domain and Hyrule Castle Town to the north, the Tree gathered a group of Deku Scrubs to protect Lyra as she was sent off to either place to learn how to heal properly. Then she could help avert disaster by joining the forming armies and keeping them alive.

The journey from Southern Hyrule to Northern Hyrule was a nightmare. Even with Lyra’s ability to heal, many of her guards had fallen by the time they reached Hyrule Bay. And then they still had to cross it. Apparently a survivor of her guards had contacted a couple of Zoras who would help her get across. Only one guard possessed a Zora Armor, so Lyra ended up in Northern Hyrule with but one guard.

They reached Hyrule Castle Town without much effort, where her guard took off, telling her he would seek refuge in the Lost Woods. But this was only the start of Lyra’s trouble- the Great Deku Tree had, rather obviously, not contacted any healers on the other end of Hyrule. She had to find one herself.

And that was no easy task.

Most higher-class nobles were not interested in taking on an apprentice, and those who were saw little potential in the small girl in front of them. The more time passed, the less confidence Lyra got in her own power and she wondered if it hadn’t been a huge waste of the Great Deku Tree’s time and all those Deku Scrubs’ lives to send her here.

While she sought a mentor, Lyra worked for a middle-class Hylian citizen as a live-in gardener. He was very happy with the results of her hard work, and after she had fruitlessly tried to find a mentor for close to a year, he started searching. Unlike the Kokiri, he needed only a few months’ time to find someone. A somewhat older woman, seeking someone to pass her secrets on to.

Lyra’s employer had told the woman his younger sister needed a mentor, instead of mentioning she was a Kokiri. He called it her reward for her hard work, gave her a little additional payment as thanks and took her to her new mentor.

Once she was accepted as an apprentice her mentor did not throw her out, although admittedly it has not been very many years since then. Maybe she has not yet noticed that Lyra does not age, or she does not care as much as she initially thought. Lyra works hard and is ambitious, hoping to one day actually be of use.

The first interesting event after starting her apprenticeship occurred after Lyra returned to Kokiri Forest to study the magic of the Great Deku Tree. She and glamour queen Keiliegh were tasked with entering the Forest Deity to retrieve the Kokiri Emerald and vanquish the forces of evil that had penetrated the forest. Strangely enough, all of Lyra's notes of this event have vanished into thin air.

Upon her return to Castle Town, Lyra was assigned a mission with Ni'Ran Amiron, Terralyn Jiana, and Marax Rita to go into Moruge Swamp to see what was up with the rapidly multiplying Lizalfos. In the end, the apparent leader of the tribe escaped them, but Lyra did make it out alive.
