This is a masterful example of having many characters appear while all being equally important to the subject of what's happening. Well, in Yetata's case she took part in everything even if she wasn't exactly advancing anything. But you know what I mean. I've seen a lot of threads in my time, in various forms, which end up purposefully or not marginalizing one of the characters. Not even the crow was "benched" in this, you used pretty much everyone and played to their strengths and weaknesses. This gets my seal of approval.
