Place of Origin: Lost Woods (Business Scrub)
    Alignment: Neutral Good

    3/3/3

    Courage ***
    Height:
    2'5”
    Weight: 49 lbs.
    Instrument: Recorder
    Profession: Lv1 Healer

    Equipment:

    Weapons: Protectorate (Shield/Tome), Deliverance (Mace)

Protectorate: Steel Bound Tome – 1' x 1'6” x 2” – Materials: Folded Steel Cover and Spine, Iron Lock and Hinges – Laminate Glue: Dodongo Hide Glue – Leather Interior, Satin Trim – Cold Pressed Cotton Paper – Cotton-Covered Wooden Frame – Leather-Covered Chain Link Straps

Protectorate serves two purposes; one, it contains a good deal of information within it, mostly dealing with the preparation and use of potions. The second use, due to its sturdy construction, is as a shield. The tome is a rather large book, one foot in width, one foot six inches in length, and two inches in height. The exterior of the tome is composed of steel, the spine, front and back covers all being steel plates. The steel is incredibly durable, composed of not only well refined steel, but folded steel. Purchased with a good deal of money, this steel is as strong as any conventional shield, if not stronger; using high carbon and low carbon steel, the steel plates that surround this tome keep their shape well, but are resistant to shattering at the same time. The front cover of the tome is well decorated, engraved with curvilinear lines and other intricate designs; these designs are symmetrical across both the vertical and horizontal axes. The back is left rather unornamented, as this is the side that is used as a shield.

Attached to the front of the tome are two straps, which are riveted vertically onto the cover. These serve both as arm straps to allow the tome to be used as a shield, as well as shoulder straps, allowing the tome to be worn on Boris' back. These straps are chain-link straps, which are encased within leather. Both pieces of the straps are riveted to the tome, preventing the leather from slipping away from the chain-links. The chain links are made of iron. The straps can be adjusted, in order to lash the tome tightly to Boris' arm, or loosened to allow it to be worn backpack style over his shoulders.

The plates are bound together by Iron hinges, which although not nearly as fine as the composition of the plates, are still made of high quality iron. Refined in the bellies of many a Cuckoo, this iron is by no means of low-quality, much of its impurities digested in the stomach of a Cuckoo, or burned off in the forging process. The hinges are held together by a large pin, which prevents the interlocking pieces from shifting. There are a total of six hinges, three hinges for the front cover to the spine, and three for the spine to the back cover. Finally, there is an iron lock on the face of the tome, Boris having the only key capable of unlocking it.

The inside is composed of a leather interior, which is glued into the steel plates by Dodongo Hide Glue. This leather is trimmed by purple satin ribbon, which outlines the edge of the pages. Ensuring that the pages are kept clean and unmarred by the elements, or whatever other abuse may befall the tome, is a wooden frame that surrounds the pages. This frame is wrapped tightly with treated cotton strips that are water proof. In this regard, the exterior of the tome is more like a box; the frame is glued onto the back steel plate and the spine, only the front cover lifting away from the frame. The wood of the frame itself is oak, sturdy and strong, and able to take a good deal of damage before needing to be replaced. The paper protected by this frame is made of cold pressed cotton paper; acid free, resistant to water and tearing.

Deliverance: Quartz Mace – 1'6” – Materials: Copper Handle and Shaft, Pear-Shaped Quartz Head – Textured Handle 4” Length (from 6” mark to 10” mark on Shaft)

Deliverance is a very simple weapon, a copper mace with a large, polished quartz stone as a head. The stone itself is unscratched and well kept, signifying that it has yet to see any significant battle. The stone has a small cylinder carved out of its bottom (the “top” of the pear shape facing down towards the shaft), into which the copper shaft plugs into. Although its materials may be lacking, the craftsmanship is fine, the head fitting snugly onto the shaft. It is also fairly light, due to its size and composition. The handle of the mace is located roughly a third from the very bottom of shaft. This handle is textured with a criss-cross pattern, allowing for a good grip to be maintained. Due to Deliverance's size, and Boris' height, this mace also doubles as a walking implement, Boris grasping the mace's head as a handle.

    Clothing and Armor:

Like most Scrubs in general, Boris doesn't wear much for clothing. That being said, due to his profession, he believes strongly in safety first. Rather than wear a hat typical of most Business Scrubs, which is pointed almost like a party hat, Boris instead wears a leather cap on his head. This is largely due to his head/body shape, which is extremely spherical in nature. The appearance of the cap itself is that of an overgrown flying cap; where a Hylian might wear one over his head, flaps coming down over the sides of their head to protect their ears, Boris wears one that covers the entirety of the top of his head, and parts of the sides of his body. These side-flaps have holes for his arms. At the bottom of each flap is a leather strap; these straps lock with each other beneath what would be considered his belly, just above where his legs meet his body. The hat is perforated to allow air to reach his head leaves and head.

For eye protection, Boris wears rather large goggles, which are also made of leather. The glass discs are well polished and are always kept clean; these are meant to protect his eyes from any unfortunate chemical accidents. The discs themselves are very round and act much like a magnifying glass; therefore, Boris' eyes appear unnaturally large, looking like large circles of orange, instead of tiny, tear-shaped eyes. These goggles leave no room between the cap and itself, covering the upper portion of Boris' face/body entirely. Like his hat, the goggles have straps that tighten behind his head/body. Both his hat and his goggles have brass buckles on their straps.

For his hands, Boris wears fingerless gloves, which provide a small amount of protection while still allowing for manual dexterity. It appears, though, as if the fingers were actually blown off by tiny explosions; the ends of the fingers, which go about a third of the way up his fingers, are frayed and burnt. The fingers are made of some indeterminate cloth material, most likely flax, but is too obscured by ash and stains from random chemicals. The actual hand portion of the gloves however, are kept in fine condition, though they do show wear. This portion is composed of well worn leather, which is dark leather in color. Many creases and lines riddle the leather, showing its age; however, the leather is soft, as opposed to being cracked and hard. On his feet, Boris wears woven reed sandals.

On his lower body, strapped around what would be his waist, is a cloth pouch with a silk strap. The silk is black in color, to hide any stains or soiling it might have; as it is, he usually keeps it clean. The silk is well made, and because of its natural properties, it is resistant to most wear and tear. The cloth pouch, which is square and reinforced with metal rods as framing, is usually on his back, sitting just below where his tome would hang, if he were to wear his tome over his shoulders. The pouch can easily be rotated around his body by loosening the strap, then retightening it. Within this pouch are various things, most notably his alchemical instruments and supplies. For some odd reason, he seems to never run out of these supplies, and his small pouch always seems capable of holding the strangely large amount of items (Refer to the Alchemist Treasure “Mixology”). The pouch has two extra frontal pouches, as well as two side pouches. His writing implements, such as powder for his ink and feather quills are contained in one of the side pouches. The other three pouches contain various items, though the other side pouch contains only lightweight cloak. Should the temperature become sufficiently chilly
Boris will remove the clock from the pouch and wrap it around his shoulders and body, leaving only his eyes, and above, peaking out from the velveteen wrap. It contains a drawstring around its top, which allows for Boris to have it wrap tightly around his body.

Boris wears no armor, finding no need for it.

    Alchemist Profession:

Level 1: At level one of the Alchemist Profession, the following treasures, when bought, instead give the user a potion under the same name (ie. Gale Seeds to Gale Potion). Each of these potions may be used twice, as opposed to once, as per their seed counterpart. This applies to the following treasures: Razor Seeds, Gale Seeds, Pegasus Seeds, Guardian Acorns, Ember Seeds, Scent Seeds, Chill Seeds, and Hyoi Pears. In the case of Scent Seeds, Ember Seeds, Chill Seeds, and Hyoi Pears, a single nut must be purchased—the [Stock] equivalent of each of these items does not work.

Additionally, a level one Alchemist receives the skill Mixology.

Level 3: At level three of the Alchemist Profession, the user may begin combining potions, in order to create new potions. The Alchemist has also found recipes for entirely new potions. The Alchemist may learn the recipe of one such potion at zero cost. All level three potions, and above, have only one use. The Alchemist also learns the potion skill Deku Baba Potion.

Level 5: At level five of the Alchemist Profession, the alchemist is now able to craft the Red Potion; the user is able to craft a Red Potion for free within one quest. The Alchemist also gains access to evolutions of the Deku Baba Potion, and may now learn either the Baba Bird, or the Baba Snake. The Alchemist must choose one or the other. Finally, the Alchemist gains access to new potions.

Level 7: At level seven of the Alchemist Profession, the alchemist is nearing the peak of their prime. The Alchemist can learn how to create a Toado, which may evolve into a Deku Toad, under the right circumstances. Only one Deku Toad may be under the control of the Alchemist at a time. Finally, the Alchemist may learn a new set of potions.

Level 10: The Alchemist has reached the peak of their prime, able to create something from nothing. The Alchemist gains the skill Elixir Extraction. Finally, the Alchemist may learn the either Baba Bird, or Baba Snake, whichever they did not learn. Both the Baba Bird, and the Baba Snake gain new abilities as well.

*Concerning the Deku Baba, Baba Snake, and Baba Bird, up to four Deku Babas may be controlled at the same time, while Baba Snakes and Baba Birds count for two Deku Babas each.

Through the combination of one use of a Gale Potion, and one use of an Armor Potion, the Alchemist is able to create the Potion of Guardian Winds. The Potion of Guardian Winds, upon breaking, will surround its breaking point in a large sphere of wind, approximately three yards in radius. The winds are intense, and will immediately block entry or exit of any object into or from the sphere. However, the skill Straight Shooting may bypass this, as well as any spell that does not physically pass through the barrier. This potion lasts for approximately half a minute.

Through the combination of both uses of a Razor Potion, and one use of a Pegasus Potion, the Alchemist is able to create the Potion of Lynel. The Potion of Lynel, upon use, will allow the user to run at an incredibly fast pace, as if they were a Lynel themselves, and will give the drinker amazing sword-wielding abilities (equivalent to Power Score of 5). This potion also gives the drinker access to the skill Power Beam. Finally, if the the user does not own a sword or blade-type weapon, a magical blade, incapable of being broken, will appear in their hand. This blade may be of any type. During the duration of this potion, no Wisdom based treasures may be used. This potion lasts for one minute.

    P3: 30 rupees
    P2: 40 rupees
    P1: 80 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 3, Razor Potion, Ember Potion

Through the combination of one use of a Razor Potion, and a bomb, or a Fire Enchantment, the Alchemist is able to create a Flame Tube. The Flame Tube, upon removing the cork from the test tube, will create a strong, concentrated flame, that shoots out from the tube. The chemicals react with oxygen, and as such, they are lit on fire. The Flame Tube acts much like the modern day blowtorch, and can be used as a source of lighting, as a fire starter, as a weapon, and for anything else requiring a small, concentrated flame. The Flame Tube lasts for ten minutes. The flames are approximately half a foot in length.
    Alchemy Level 5:

    `Baba Snake Potion
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Deku], [Potion]

    0 Rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Deku Nut or Deku Nut Production, Alchemist Level 10

Once the Alchemist has reached level five, they may create a Baba Snake, which is essentially a Deku Baba. However, the Baba Snake is not stationary, may burrow underground, and is also amphibious. The Baba Snake is generally smarter than the Deku Baba, and can differentiate between friend and foe. Up to two Baba Snakes may be under control at the same time. Either Baba Snake, or Baba Bird must be chosen at Alchemist level five.

Upon death, a Baba Snake will relinquish a Deku Stick.

At Alchemist Level 10, the Baba Snake gains the ability Hydra. Upon death, the Baba Snake will split into two smaller, and therefore faster and easier to kill, Baba Snakes. These smaller Baba Snakes do not split upon death. Splitting can prevented by using fire or ice to kill the Baba Snake.

    `Baba Bird Potion
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Deku], [Potion]

    0 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Deku Nut or Deku Nut Production, Alchemist Level 10

Once the Alchemist has reached level five, they may create a Baba Bird, which is essentially a Deku Baba. However, this Deku Baba has fully functional wings made of Deku Leaves, allowing it flight speeds rivaling that of a Rito. However, the Baba Bird may not land, after lifting off, and cannot go underwater. The Baba Bird is smarter than the Deku Baba, and will not attack the allies of the Alchemist unless told to do so. Up to two Baba Birds may be under control at the same time. Either Baba Bird, or Baba Snake must be chosen at Alchemist level five.

Upon death, a Deku Baba will relinquish a Deku Stick.

At Alchemist Level 10, the Baba Bird gains the ability Condor. The Baba Bird is capable of picking up medium sized objects with its roots, such as bombs, and can drop them at the command of the Alchemist. If the Baba Bird is not holding an object, it may simply drop Deku Nuts.

    `Potion of Darknut
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion]

    P5: 22 rupees
    P4: 30 rupees
    P3: 45 rupees
    P2: 60 rupees
    P1: 120 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Razor Potion, Armor Potion

Through the combination of both uses of a Razor Potion, and both uses of an Armor Potion, the Alchemist is able to create the Potion of Darknut. The Potion of Darknut, upon use, will bestow upon the drinker the strength and weapons skill of a Darknut. This is equivalent to having a Power Score of 5, and a Courage Score of 5. The user can use any weapon as if they were a master. However, the user loses all access to any Treasures, except treasures with the [WeaponBase] tag they may have, until this potion wears off. If the user is in possession of a magical weapon (such as a blade, bow, dagger, etc.), they may still use this weapon. This potion lasts for approximately two minutes, but may be ended at the drinker's discretion.

    `Potion of Unyielding Flames
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion], [Fire]

    P5: 22 rupees
    P4: 30 rupees
    P3: 45 rupees
    P2: 60 rupees
    P1: 120 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Gale Potion, Ember Potion

Through the combination of both uses of a Gale Potion, and both uses of an Ember Potion, the Alchemist is able to create the Potion of Unyielding Flames. This potion, upon use, will explode, sending powerful flames out in a ten foot diameter, coating said area in napalm. These flames cannot be doused through the use of normal water; magical water, the Ice Enchantment, or through a means of suffocating the flames will cause the flames to die out normally. The Alchemist has no control over these flames. The flames will last until they die out, or no longer have fuel to consume.

    `Potion of Tongues
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion]
    W5: 22 rupees
    W4: 30 rupees

    W1: 120 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Hyoi Pear Potion, Scent Potion

Through combining both uses of a Hyoi Pear Potion, and both uses of a Scent Potion, the Alchemist makes the Potion of Tongues. Upon consumption, the Potion of Tongues grants the drinker the ability to speak with animals and monsters, as well as understand them. This allows them to give simple creatures (such as a small bird) nearly irresistible commands, though if the command involves significant danger to aforementioned creature, it may not listen. This potion lasts for a minute.

    `Fireworks
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion], [Fire]

    C5: 22 rupees
    C4: 30 rupees
    C3: 45 rupees
    C2: 60 rupees
    C1: 120 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5, Scent Potion, Deku Nut (or Deku Nut Production)

Combining a Scent Seed with a Deku Nut, the Alchemist can now create fireworks. This potion acts the same as any other [Stock] treasure, in that the Alchemist may have an infinite amount of fireworks, and need not create them. Upon impact, this potion acts much the same as both a Deku Nut and Scent Seed; spores are sent outward in a cloud, each spore creating a tiny flash. This does not have any explosive power, but is capable of generating great amounts of light.

    `Create Red Potion
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion]

    0 Rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 5

An Alchemist may now craft one Red Potion per quest, without paying a fee. Any Red Potions bought or created after this first Red Potion must be paid for as normal.

    Alchemy Level 7:

    `Toado Potion
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Deku], [Potion]

    100 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 7, Deku Nut or Deku Nut Production

Much like the Deku Baba Potion, this potion contains the embryo of a Toado, the form of a young Deku Toad. When the potion is broken, however, the Toado will not grow into a Deku Toad immediately. Given the right conditions, meaning a dark, watery area, the Toado will grow into a full grown Deku Toad. This usually takes several days to occur. Due to its unnatural origins, this Deku Toad is incapable of spawning. The Deku Toad is also completely loyal to its master, and can be used as a mount, etc. Only one Deku Toad can be under control of the Alchemist at a time.

    `Potion of Wizzrobe
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion]

    W5: 30 rupees
    W4: 40 rupees
    W3: 50 rupees
    W2: 80 rupees
    W1: 160 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 7, Gale Potion, Armor Potion

Through the combination of two Gale Potions, and two Armor Potions, the Alchemist is able to create the Potion of Wizzrobe. The Potion of Wizzrobe, upon use, will give the drinker access to the following spells: Fire, Wizzwarp, and Thunder. Thunder may only be used once during the duration of this potion. However, there are severe effects to drinking this potion. Once this potion has worn off, the user is left comatose for half a minute, and is unable to take any action at all. During the duration of this potion, the user also does not have access to any weapons, or any items they may carry, and are restricted completely to using spells. This potion lasts for approximately four minutes, but may be ended at the drinker's discretion.

    `Potion of Eternal Waters
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion], [Water]

    W5: 30 rupees
    W4: 40 rupees
    W3: 50 rupees
    W2: 80 rupees
    W1: 160 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 7, Gale Potion, Red Potion, Chill Potion

Combining a Gale Potion, a Red Potion, and a Chill Potion, the Alchemist can create the Potion of Eternal Waters. Upon being broken, a magical storm will appear above the area, though it may take several minutes, and even up to an hour if the potion is broken in the middle of a desert, to form. This storm will rain magical waters down upon everything in the near vicinity. This rain has half the effect of a Red Potion, but does not discriminate between friend and foe.

    `Bombling Potion
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion], [Explosive]

    P5: 30 rupees
    P4: 40 rupees
    P3: 50 rupees
    P2: 80 rupees
    P1: 160 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 7, Bomb Bag, Magic Bean Supply

Combining a Bomb and a Magic Bean, the Alchemist can now create a potion, that upon breaking will cause a Bombling to grow at the point of impact. It must have sufficient water, as well as nutrients, to grow. Like any other Bombling plant, the Bombling can be removed and used as an explosive, and a new Bombling will grow. The Alchemist may only have one Bombling plant. If another is planted, the first will automatically die, as the surrounding area will not have enough nutrients to support both.

    `Sticky Bomb
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion], [Explosive]

    C5: 30 rupees
    C4: 40 rupees
    C3: 50 rupees
    C2: 80 rupees
    C1: 160 rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 7, Slicker, Bomb Bag

Combining a Bomb and a Slicker, the Alchemist can create a bomb with a sticky coating. The bomb will stick to nearly any surface if it is not wet. However, the adherent of the bomb is not particularly strong, which means the bomb may be removed if it rubbed off onto another object. The sticky bomb has the same length of fuse of a normal bomb.

    Alchemy Level 10:

    `Elixir Extraction
    Original (WillowtheWhisp), Skill – Utility
    [Profession], [Seed], [Potion]

    0 Rupees

Prerequisite to obtain & use: Alchemist Level 10

The Alchemist is now the definitive authority on potion making, whose skill and knowledge cannot be surpassed. Because of this, the Alchemist can now make “Elixirs” instead of “Potions”. The following items have an additional use to their potion equivalent, placing them at three uses: Razor Seeds, Gale Seeds, Pegasus Seeds, Guardian Acorns, Ember Seeds, Scent Seeds, Chill Seeds, and Hyoi Pears. Rather than receiving potions when buying one of these seeds, the Alchemist receives an Elixir (Razor Seeds to Razor Potion to Razor Elixir).

Physical Description: Boris has a fairly normal build for a Business Scrub, having the typical merged body and head, with arms and legs attached to this combination of head and torso. His body shape is extremely round, nearing perfection of the spherical shape. His body is roughly a foot and a half in diameter, his legs a foot long each, and his arms being a foot and a quarter in length. His legs are attached to his torso at the very bottom, near the center of his body, while his arms are attached to his body at the exact halfway point of his spherical torso.

His body color is a polished, dark red, the grain apparent and pronounced. Because of his work with chemicals, the his body is mostly hairless and has a strange sheen to it, as if it were lacquered. Due to this lack of hair, Boris does not have the mustache that most Business Scrubs have. His mouth is located just below his eyes, and is ever so slightly lighter than the rest of his body in color. As for his eyes, Boris' eyes have a golden color, which is brightened even further by the glass of his goggles, so much so that his eyes seem to constantly be sparkling. Because of the glass in front of his eyes, the light of his eyes is so magnifies that he is able to see even in the dead of night, beams of light shooting out from his goggles like the searchlight of a lighthouse.

The only hair that Boris has is on the very crown of his head. The plant living on the top of his head is a Tillandsia, or an airplant, which is a plant which does not require air to grow. The leaves of this plant are long and spindly and are soft in nature. Because each leaf is so small, some strands are able to escape through the perforations in his leather cap, sticking out at odd angles near the top of his head. Should he take his full-body leather cap off, the leaves on his head would stick out in every direction, covering his head in a rather odd, and messy hairdo. The leaves are a greenish gray in color. Should Boris feel the need to take flight using his Deku Leaf, the few strands sticking out from under his hat wrap around the stem of the Deku Leaf, giving his hat the appearance of a large propeller hat. It seems that Boris has minor control over the leaves on his head, as displayed by his ability to wrap the leaves of his head around the stem of the Deku Leaf.

    Personality:
Boris has a rather carefree personality, choosing to go wherever life may take him. Having had retired from the Business Scrub Association, in order to pursue his own goals, Boris is rarely at home, which is located in Nabooru, instead wandering Northern Hyrule in search of new and interesting plants to be used in his potion making. Believing staunchly in fieldwork, Boris is never without a writing utensil and his trusty tome, in which he records all sorts of information, mostly pertaining to the creation of potions, ingredients of potions, etc. This displays Boris' irrepressible curiosity about nature and science, Boris having found his true calling after his retirement.

However, Boris is not entirely consumed within his work; with the ever growing presence of Ganon within Hyrule, he finds it difficult to maintain full concentration on whatever task he may have at hand. Because of this, Boris can also be found in strange places, trying to assist whatever manner of creature may live in that area; this is one of the reasons that Boris makes his home in Nabooru. When Boris is actually at home within Nabooru, he is often mixing various potions for the refugees and other residents of the small town, as they are often in need of some form of help. The other reason that Boris lives within Nabooru is its location—it is near the forest, the mountains, Hyrule Fields, and is a days flight to the Eastern Sea. Not only does he enjoy the variety of environments to which he is able to travel, but he also finds the range of plants and animals to be stimulating to his studies.

Although Boris is of average strength, intelligence, and dexterity, Boris is able to handle himself in most situations. Making up for his lack of battle knowledge and skill, Boris instead uses potions to make up for his lack of strengths; be it in creating minions, augmenting himself or his allies, or using dangerous chemicals to cripple his foes, Boris wields his knowledge of potions as a deadly weapon.

    Backstory:

Born into a family of rich Deku noblemen, who had descended from a long line of wealthy Business Scrubs, Boris has led a fairly normal life compared to most. From a very young age, Boris showed very little interest in anything, and had almost no outstanding features. Boris was “average” at just about everything he did. As such, his family decided that since he wasn't suited to working as a palace guard, or being a court magician, that Boris would simply be admitted into the Business Scrub Association, though he was the third of his brothers to do so. Unlike his brothers, however, he had no aptitude for it; he was not as uncharismatic as other Scrubs. This by no means meant that he was unable to function within society; however, he did not have the commanding presence of his older brothers.

Boris was given a rather lackluster Flower Deed once he left the Business Scrub Academy. Located within Hyrule Field, near Death Mountain, the Business Scrub Association gave him one of the worst possible locations for business in all Hyrule. During his time as a merchant, Boris was essentially limited to selling items to travelers, items which, in all likelihood, they did not need. The Academy gave him the worst of the worst; rusty daggers, used arrows, even bags with holes. Luckily enough, the Academy charged him relatively little for his Flower Deed, even just a few rupees capable of covering its monthly fee. Because of the lack of customers, and the paltry fee, Boris spent very little time within his flower.

It was during this time that Boris began to have a large appreciation for nature, spending much of his time wandering around the nearby area. He was a simple scrub then, found comfort within just the observation of nature. After years of solitude near his Flower Deed, only seeing the occasional Goron or Hylian, Boris' father died. Returning to the Lost Woods for the funeral, Boris returned to much the same home—his mother berated him for being a failure, his brothers competing over the smallest rupee, just as they always had. It seemed that only his father had changed in his old age. On his death bed, rather than bequeath the family fortune to either of his older brothers, his father instead left its entirety on Boris' shoulders; his reasoning was that both his brothers had made their names as Business Scrubs, leaving Boris as the only one who truly needed the rupees. Of course, neither his mother nor his brothers saw it this way; however, his father's decision would not be changed.

Boris had little use for rupees. It seemed that wherever he went, be it the Lost Woods, Hyrule Castle Town, or some other place, it was always about rupees. Wishing only to return to his simple life within Hyrule Field, Boris used only a fraction of the money to purchase his Flower Deed from the Business Scrub Association, and a few other items of interest; among them being a large tome, some recipes, and some protective clothing. During his time spent in nature, Boris had often thought about the various plants around him, wondered about their various uses. Keeping only a handful of rupees for himself, giving the rest to his family, Boris resolved to learn more about the plants he had seen.

It was about then that Ganon's Invasion hit Hyrule. As refugee after refugee fled to Northern Hyrule, it seemed that Boris' hobby had turned into something much greater; with his abilities, he could heal the wounded, could help them recover from grievous wounds. Without realizing it, the outskirts of Nabooru had expanded, now included Boris' flower within its bounds. Now finding it necessary to have a residence, Boris had a small hut built around his flower; his home became a shelter for wounded refugees. Much time has passed since the invasion, yet Hyrule still needs its healers, wherever they may be.

    Residence:

Boris' home is fairly simple, located just beneath his Deku Flower. His “home” is actually one large room, which contains his bed, a table and chair for his studies, and another table for his chemical work. Above this table is a brick chimney that extend all the way up, acting as a chimney for the shack above his home. The room itself is framed by wooden walls, a wooden floor and a wooden ceiling. These are supported by large wooden beams, that are interspersed throughout the room. Finally, there is a rope ladder attached to the ceiling, that leads up to his flower, which acts as his entrance and exit.

Just above his flower is a large shack, which is more likely a clinic for the infirm. Made of hard mud, with a ceiling made of mud and straw, the shack has no door; instead, it is missing one entire wall, having two large curtains meeting at the center of the large gap. Because of its construction, the hut holds heat well in the winter, but also lets it escape during the summer through open curtains. Within the hut are many wooden tables, donated by the various citizens of Nabooru. Each table has cloth bedding thrown over it, allowing for Boris' patients to lay on the table. By now, Boris' clinic has several assistants, who are capable of running it while he is away.

I already gave my judgement on the Alchemist profession via PM, and you seemed to have complied with all the recommendations I said there. Boris seems like a charming and original character, and I see no reason to reject him. Accepted.
