    Appearance:
Like any other Poe, there is not much to Becca’s true form. She exists as a tiny flame, occasionally wavering and casting no light, with a pastel pink hue to it. Because she is fragile and easily dispelled or destroyed, Becca remains in a small, black metal lantern with dark blue panes at all times.

However, on occasion Becca will manifest a spectral body that is often mistaken for her actual appearance. In this form, she vaguely resembles a Hylian woman wearing a long dress and a tattered robe that covers her features in shadow, with one hand clasping it below her chin and the other moving freely. She has no legs, her body dissolving into smoke from the hips down, although her mantle hangs down far lower than that. She refuses to lower her cowl, and any attempts to do so forcefully only result in the manifested body disappearing.

What is visible of Becca’s face and arms is partially translucent, but appears to bear shadows in a vaguely flesh-like tone, while the shadows in her clothes have the same pink hue as her true form does.

    Personality:
Becca has some vague memories left of her life, but all she truly and clearly remembers is being struck in the back of the head by one of her own men, death by betrayal. This has made her distrustful and bitter. She only looks out for Beck and herself, and would not think twice about even betraying the Pirates she works with if it means she can get out of a lousy situation unscathed. If Beck had not been her other half, she would not even have cared about him.

Being spiteful over your own death can make a gentle lamb a cruel tormenter, as Becca aptly proves. She specializes in magic that hinders, frightens, and cripples her foes and urges Beck to still bring the sword down on them while they’re helpless, knowing that their last moments will be filled with horror and pain. She derives a sick sort of pleasure from inflicting pain on the living, but even treats Beck with disdain and cruelty; although in this case, the cruelty is mostly verbal and neglectful in nature, since she needs him.

Still, Becca is not made of stone. She has an irrational fear of dogs, who can see her for what she is and always bark and snarl at her and generally want to smash her lantern. However, she likes other animals, like cats and birds, and has been known to have mercy on children. What’s more, in the end she truly cares about Beck; she just doesn’t know how to show this.

    Background:
Commander Trebeck was a well-respected and disciplined soldier of Hyrule in life. Born and raised in the south of Hyrule, he had grown up learning swordplay and archery, and enlisted into the army as soon as he was eligible. Trebeck dedicated his life to protecting his kinsmen, and did not desert that lifestyle when Ganon began to invade Hyrule and slowly conquered the south. Sometimes, it felt like Trebeck had to be everywhere at once: whether it was escorting people to the Eastern Caves, or holding the line near the north, he did not shirk his duties. He was fully prepared to die valorously for the good of the people he wished to protect. Sadly, such was not his part.

Becca doesn’t remember where or when exactly it happened. All she remembers is a blunt, hard blow to the back of the skull, likely having come from one of her own men. Death by betrayal, as far as she knows, and not knowing the details drives her up the wall. A fact, however, is that many years after that death, Becca realized she was conscious. It was like waking up from a deep sleep, except she didn’t have a humanoid body that she could move and get up with. Fortunately there was one lying right next to her. Her tiny, flaming body moved dreadfully slowly, but she moved up to the heap of bones and telepathically told it to get up.

Once it was fully assembled and found her a lantern so she could manifest a body of choice safely, she learned that the Stalfos listened to the name Beck. Not that that was easy- he was incapable of speech, and it took a long while before Becca realized that she had known his name instinctively and that she had an instinctive kind of understanding of the Stalfos. Taking this as a sign that they were two halves of one whole, she realized that she had to stay with him to improve their respective odds of survival, and directed him to Monster Village.

Beck became a guard, while Becca did more important things. She felt she had been returned to a state of sentient, sapient being for one reason, and one reason only- vengeance. The man who had killed her would die, violently and painfully if she could help it, and now that she didn’t have to worry about sustaining herself and her body, she could set to work looking for clues on who it had been and where he was now.

Work was slow. Most of what she remembered was foggy, and Monster Village didn’t have a library she could rely on. The best she could do was ask around, but her brusque and sadistic personality soon made her poorly-liked. Finally, however, she was roped into helping treat the wounds of an Aeralfos who had had a run-in with a small group of Hylian warriors, not far from the village. He described their armour, and the symbol it had borne. It was the luckiest thing that had ever happened to Becca.

The emblem he described was the same as the one on what remained of Beck’s armour, and Becca came to her conclusions from that. If the squad hadn’t been responsible for her death, they could at least point her towards someone who was. She gathered Beck, waited impatiently for him to be ready, and left, now knowing what to look for and where to begin.

Ethereal as she is, Becca doesn’t tire like Beck does, and she enjoys the open air of Southern Hyrule. Less so, however, the few living that she encounters, and who attack the Stalfos on sight. Knowing that she can’t afford to lose her lantern or Beck, Becca has devised and practiced various applications for the magic that flows through her true form and learnt to channel it through both her lantern and the body she created for herself.

Beck doesn’t know what they’re looking for, but when they find their murderer, Becca is certain he will remember, too; and that is when they will exact their vengeance.
