Julius covered his eyes behind his shield as the flash illuminated most of the surrounding area. In the next moment, he heard the pained howl of a Wolfos. He uncovered his eyes almost immediately -- in just enough time to see her blade's gash in one of the dogs.

An icy javelin pummeled into his armor. The Chilfos. Julius unleashed a Spin Attack, injuring one Wolfos and destroying a javelin on its course to him. Julius brought his shield to the same one, slamming it in the snout, as he continued to the Chilfos. He ran -- and kept running, executing Helm Splitter on one.

It impacted deep into what was its head. He landed behind it, and almost immediately laid into it with a series of strikes. It was stunned, confused, and dazed -- it had almost no time to react before Julius' sword cleaved through its torso. It was like scissors snipping twine -- if the twine were an animated ice statue.

The other, however, was still ready for battle. It materialized -- perhaps grew? -- a spear, much longer than the ones he'd already had tossed at him in one day. A Spin Attack, and the pole of ice was broken -- but that only seemed to give the creature two of the same javelins, which promptly met his shield. He charged the creature, his shield still raised. In perhaps a second, he rammed himself into the creature, continuing into it with his shoulder.

He spun around, kicking it in the process -- his foot melted through its torso. He wasn't expecting this. The expression on his face was priceless. It was the perfect mix of anger and shock -- in fact, he was so angry that he headbutted the creature, helm and all. The dent in the ice of its dome was impressive -- but some mild shock blew back into Julius, causing him to stumble and fall. But... it seemed like the Chilfos was dead. He had seemed to succeed at his task, at least.

Another kick, another bash with her shield. Navina fought the onslaught of doges, keeping Julius within her line of vision to make sure she would be able to assist him if he needed it. He didn't, though, as a kick from his burning feet incapacitated the Chilfos. Navina smiled before shoving her sword into the last Wolfos. It let out a wimper, and Navina looked down at it, her smile fading. She quickly cut its throat, ending its suffering. She couldn't blame the beasts and ultimately knew they weren't at fault. Like most creatures, sentient people included, they were simply responding to their basic instincts, refusing or incapable of attuning to a higher purpose.

Navina tired of being outside of the manor. At least inside it was warm. A chill shot through her and she rubbed her forearms in a futile effort to warm herself up. Nope, she was not going to tolerate being outside for any longer. She made a motion to Julius before retreating back into the parlor room from which the pair emerged, shaking fresh snow off of her hair and body like a dog. As she tapped her armored boots onto the carpet, she again questioned why she had allowed herself to be drafted on this mission. It's not like they were hunting for criminals, just some weird energy that distracted Julius from what should be his only mission in life: hunting scum. Navina was pulled out of her thoughts by the distant sounds of thumping, crashing, and clanging. She shot her attention towards the direction of the sound: a closed door on the other side of the parlor.

She began to move towards it, putting her ear (rather, her helmet) up against the door before entering. There was definitely something mechanical beyond the door. Preparing to battle some sort of metal monstrosity, Navina opened the door, only to be greeted with.. a wall with a hole large enough for a person to fit through. She blinked and in a split second, the wall was scooped up by the floor. She now noticed that walls would continuously move towards the entrance of the long hallway, leaving gaps of space between them to allow whatever sorry adventurer some time to prepare for the next obstacle. She figured that to get to the other side of the hallway, she would have to quickly run and jump through the awkwardly placed holes while the solid walls continued to move towards this door. She watched the multitudes of various hole-in-the-wall patterns that moved towards her before they were scooped up again by the machine. At least they were just standard, decently sized, square holes - albeit sometimes rather high up on the wall - and didn't require her to make some stupid pose to pass through.

Navina narrowed her eyes. Was this a joke? Who did this?! Who thought this was a good idea to put in a mansion?! Obviously someone who deserved a swift kick in the groin, that's for sure.

"What kind of contraption is this?" Julius wondered loudly as he the walls continue towards them. How long had such a thing been running? Where were all of its walls coming from? He stopped for a moment, thinking. It was impossible to tell where exactly they were coming from, from where they stood -- and the only way to change that would be to . . . jump through the hoops. Julius steeled himself as he got a dashing start to maneuver through the first hole. It was a meter and a half from the floor. It was of little effort to him, as he dove through it, quickly righted himself, and pulled himself up to the next one -- this one was about two meters above the ground, to the right side of the passage. The other had been on the left.

Julius raced down the corridor, if it could be called that, and swiftly pulled himself up and over through the hole. The next one, he could see, was particularly low. It was in the center. He ducked and crawled his way through; it was hardly three feet tall. It had always been uncomfortable, doing things like this in full armor. But Julius was not a wimp, like some of his compatriots were. That is to say, those who lacked finesse and physical strength, at least. As he came to the other side, he saw one of perhaps three gaps along the walls -- he kept progressing through the puzzle, or test as it should be called, seeing as how it would likely force him to start from the beginning.

Another hole. It was at the top -- almost two and a half meters off the ground. Julius leaped, almost desperately, before managing to toss himself to the next one. This time, it was one that could be easily stepped through. Excellent. It was easy -- but at the same time, trying to step through something moving while you're also moving wasn't as easy as it seemed. He stepped through it all the same. He was about halfway done, he figured. He kept advancing through the holes.

He came to the otherside of the room. He chose to wait for Navina as she went through the challenge -- it was an excellent time to rest either way.

Navina sighed. She knew that if she stripped herself of her armor, jumping through the holes would be easy. But there was no way she was going to risk losing more protection from the cold. Grumbling, she made sure that her equipment was on her securely. She didn't want to accidentally get stabbed with a sword while she ducked and weaved. Navina knew that Julius who had already completed the puzzle might be watching her.

She had taken the time that it took for Julius to pass through the puzzle to limber up, and was now prepared to test her agility. Navina focused herself, noticing a pattern to the walls. There was a finite number of them, and after a few rotations, she had learned it. A grin crossed her face. If there was one thing Navina was decent at, it was patterns. One of the reasons why she excelled in her job wasn't because she was incredibly clever, but because she was observant and had good memorization.

So of course, it wasn't a surprise when she took off bolting, she stayed bolting. There was no chance she would pause to rest. She would kick off walls to gain the momentum she needed to vault through the higher holes, rolling as she hit the bottom and foregoing such slow tactics such as crawling. Navina was surprising agile, and even with armor on, she was incredibly fast. She was nothing if not an example of excellent Gerudo training.

She quickly arrived at the end of the hall, panting furiously. She had beaten the puzzle in almost half the time of Julius. However, she knew that he had gone first, and she did have the opportunity to study him going through the holes first.

"A moment," she panted and attempted to catch her breath. "Please." Navina gripped her knees. She was tired, and honestly vaulting so quickly through a genuine obstacle course with armor on was tiring.

"Of course," he wheezed out, struggling for his own breath. Plate, no matter its origin, was not designed to have someone do aerobics in them. Either way, they would both regain their composure soon, and enter into the next chamber.

As they continued to progress through the chambers, the architecture seemed to get more and more odd. This room, however, most likely served a more obvious purpose: a freezer, it seemed. Why did this estate necessitate a freezer when the outside rarely exceeded zero degrees Fahrenheit? That was an excellent question, but no one knows the answer. Regardless, they would notice several large, frozen blocks. They were nearly totally transparent, almost like they were made of glass.

They all floated atop a layer of ice, somewhat appropriately. More than a chill wafted through the air. There was a hole in the cieling, it seemed. It was... colder, here, than it was even in the courtyards. This place grew more and more curious as they explored.

Julius was the first to descend the few steps to the slick floor. Looking through the blocks he could see food, bottles... even some creatures, it seemed. He noted the poor Keese, frozen solid in a block, as he contemplated summoning his own. Oh well, it was only a Keese.

However, as he continued to search, he found something curious: a single silver key frozen in one. That key, he figured, was their best bet as to getting into that room. He looked at the cieling. There was definitely a hole.

The Gerudo appreciated the rest. The more time she spent here, the more she regretted not taking that soup.

As she walked into the next room, Navina suddenly stopped and took a moment to admire the architecture. Engineering was always so beautiful to her, especially when it worked with nature. Even though the room was blisteringly cold, Navina couldn't help but be in awe of the clever design of the room. "Fascinating, isn't it," Navina absentmindedly spoke, ignoring both Julius and the frozen items on the floor, her head clearly craned skywards. "Even when no monsters lurk about, the temple is trying to kill us." Finally, she snapped back into reality and noticed Julius. She also noticed the silver key he had walked over to. She joined him, crouching down and staring at the key.

"... have any ideas on how to get this out? ... It seems rather solid, I don't have any access to any fire magic," Navina glanced towards the hole. As flexible and with as much training as she had, there was no way she could climb up there to plug it. Maybe there was a switch? Or maybe her or Julius could take turns whittling away at it.

She glanced at Julius, a clear amount of hesitation lingering on her voice before she spoke. "... Julius, when was the last time you apprehended someone?" Navina stared at him, trying to judge his reaction.

"Navina," he began, returning her gaze through the slits in his helmet. It seemed magnified in intensity. "If you knew the true nature of these missions, and those which I have been frequently departing upon as of late, you'd ask no such question. It is true that I've put ethics, and indeed even the law aside for a select few individuals. You do not understand, girl. For what skill you have with a blade, you lack in wisdom. You see, the fate of Hyrule at large is at stake. It is why I have journied to a city that rests in the skies, the tombs of those without names, and a myriad of otger locations. If I fail in this endeavor, I only pray that the goddesses are truly benevolent to our people." He contemplated going on about a schpiel for a while more, but decided to sum it up in a few short lines.

"If a few roam free, then so be it. I just desire you to know that they serve a greater purpose -- even if they are a bit self-centered. It matters not, as they serve the populace as well as you or I." He turned away from Navina. "Now, as to how to get this key... I believe," he began to kick at the block of ice. With every hammering kick he delivered, it thawed ever-so-slightly. "That this," he continued, obviously strained by the sheer force of his kick, "should do," once more, he was straining. He needed to tone it down -- but Navina had riled him into a state of anger, somewhat. He wasn't angry at her -- he just wished she knew what was at stake.

His foot broke through the ice. The key was mostly thawed at this point -- no, not enough to retrieve it. Not yet, anyways. Again, he was at it. With a series of kicks he retrieved the key. He looked at Navina again, though this time his gaze was much more forgiving. "I apologize if I might have upset you," he spoke, placing the key in his Adventure Pouch. "Just know that there is a very fine line between what is lawful and what is good for the people. And, to answer your question in the first place, it was nearly three days ago. We had, for a long time, been getting reports from Mido -- children, going missing. I'm not going to mention the rest of the details. Just know, Navina, that he got what he deserved."

He moved from Navina, exiting through the door again. Ahh, he had meant to salvage a hide -- and so, before they entered into the heart of the mansion again, he drug the Wolfos he had beaten to death with him. Such a shame -- they were invariably loyal, provided you raised them right. Perhaps, he thought, he might get one himself.

Regardless, he proceeded to skin the beast in the same fashion he had skinned the Dodongo -- he would see about giving this to Sienna as well, next time they met. It was just as good in quality.

Navina's lips curled, her opinion on Julius solidified. How dare he question her wisdom? How could he stand as the head of the law with such ignorant views?! She began to tremble, not of anger but of passion.

She waited for him to finish speaking completely, before taking in his words fully. The key was of no concern right now. Navina was busy bottling her anger. Suddenly, her anger faded, and she was unnaturally calm.

"... I see where your philosophies lie," she said, her voice nearly a whisper. "I don't agree with them, Sir." her voice began to increase in volume and she stood. "It doesn't matter how high you build the dam, a few cracks and it all collapses." She was visibly upset and Julius's apology was not going to help. "You fail to see cracks in your own organizational structure, and yet you think you can save all of Hyrule?" she trembled, nearly appearing as if she was holding back more than Julius could even begin to comprehend. "Three days ago. And yet your fellow guardsmen take weeks, criminals rampant, and even reports of corruption within the guards with certain members working with scum and slime..." Navina paused to recollect herself.

".... You are a competent fighter," Navina said, her anger subsiding. She watched him skin the hide. "But a terrible bureaucrat. I am certain your intentions are good, but you are not a manager. You are a fieldsmen." she physically bit her tongue to prevent her from directly mentioning she didn't believe him to be fit from his position. It wasn't like she hadn't already implied it.

"Navina," he turned towards her, from the Wolfos. It was, at this point, organs and muscle. "You speak as though you grasp what I am saying, yet it is clear you do not. You do not consider the good of the people being put above the law. You do not consider how you, or anyone else may suffer. Yes, I am aware of the many issues within our own organization, but they are exaggerated beyond belief. Even if you've done you're own research, there are many things you do not know. I do not operate this as a parade. I do not sit by and wait for opportunities to present themselves. Tell me, after the freeze, what did you expect to occur? For everything to return to peace amd prosperity? For everything to suddenly, without reason, go back to being as happy as it all once was? No. People died. Froze, starve. People killed, simply trying to survive. It is true, we are still recovering from such a calamity. And, even now, with Nihil and Onox gathering forces to reclaim the south, Ganon's forces are stronger than ever before. If we let this unseen threat slither by, there would be no more sense of "justice"; no more sense of "right" or "wrong". In fact, in more than half of Hyrule, there already isn't." He finished the conversation. Navina was hardly aware of the many factors at play here.

Wordlessly, he climbed back up the crates, to where the door was locked. It was a small horned chain, seeming to imitate the appearance of a frightening adversary of some sort. The horns, particularly, struck him as something a Stalfos or Moblin would have. Regardless, he jammed the key in, twisted, and watched the lock fall to pieces. There was now only a door. "Regardless, we can finish this discussion after we finish our job here."

He opened the door, noting its unusually... durable? appearance. It was strange. As he walked into the room, he plainly saw a prison. There were bars, benches, and... an armored goliath, swinging the same ball and chain that had crashed into the Chilfos just a bit earlier in the day. Abruptly, it loosed the ball. "Watch out!" Julius yelled, rolling to the side. It was struggling, now, to retrieve the ball. Excellent. Sprinting to the creature, he leaped over it, executing a flawless Helm Splitter. He smashed bis blade into the creature's helmet. It was dazed, confused... Julius landed directly behind it, noticing its unarmored tail. It seemed to be... a Lizalfos? Dynalfos, perhaps? Regardless, he spun into it within an instant, the slicing vortex of energy slashing into it. It seemed to recover especially quickly, picking its ball up with little effort as adrenaline pulsed through it. It began whirling its weapon again.

Navina kept her mouth shut. She was aware of the events. She always was aware of the events, especially any to do with Ganon. Her and her sisters always quick to be the first ones people grumbled at, them along with the moblins and the Stalfos and Poes and the whatever other races people associated with evil were always the first to be blamed. Navina didn't usually mind being associated with such history - as it was history - but she was more than offended by Julius's comments for another reason.

She cared about the same starving people Julius did, and she cried for them because as they starved, even more suffering occurred, farmers were looted by criminals who couldn't fit into society. Because people killed in desperation instead of scum being rooted out of its place before such a thing could happen. Julius failed to understand that only rigid laws, rules, and regulations quickly revived a society after such a calamity. Infrastructure was key, even before an organized offensive against a threat.

"... The best defense is a good offense, sir," Navina said. "... I am fine with continuing this conversation at a later date but... do not call me girl ever again." She looked at Julius before he opened the door. "I care little if you are my captain. I will not be demeaned in such a manor."

Navina entered the room and quickly noticed the beast in front of her. She jumped to the side and allowed Julius to distract it as she pulled out her short sword and shield. She watched the creature begin to spin rapidly, and as it stopped, Navina readied herself to jump, focusing and --

'-- Hello you absolute piece of shit!!' a scratchy voice rang out, mysterious leaves appearing in front of Julius. Even the Lizalfos stopped attacking for a moment, stunned in confusion. 'I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, yes, YOU Julius! Consider this a privilege, because I actually wanted to read you out a magnificent piece of work I have just finished. '-- There was a large amount of laughter -- 'It's titled, 'Julius and Buzzari Get Stung'. It's actually rather beautiful and heartwarming, and I counted, there are 24 bee puns, two sex scenes, and it's only about five paragraphs long. Ahem...'

The Lizalfos was tired of this. He continued to fight Julius and Navina, ignoring Wiki's screechy voice. It... it was really distracting though, and even Navina was having some issues focusing on the monster. That... That voice was abysmal.

That voice. It was Wiki. Julius put his hand to where his cheek was, as he looked on in embarrasment. Even the Lizalfos had ceased its attack. "I'm so sorry." He knew he should have decked her right then and there in the City. It would have been legal -- no one had jurisdiction there. He swore to himself that he'd set that cockroach aflame the next time he saw her. As the Lizalfos resumed swinging its weapon, he muttered under his breath, "Let's do this, then."

The message continued to echo through the room as the beast launched his chain once more. Julius tried to block it with his shield -- it was of no use, however. The force of the item burst into him. It felt like he'd just been hit by a bomb -- and, in truth, he effectively had been. It clashed and slammed into his shield with more force than it seemed capable, in fact. The Lizalfos pulled it back effortlessly this time. It seemed that sheer endurance would not be the key to this fight. Thankfully, it was nothing like the abomination he had fought in Arbiter's Grounds.

For one thing, it didn't seem to possess the exteeme agility, speed, and raw power it had possessed. It was certainly a target that could be defeated -- easily, even, perhaps. It was already whirling its wicked weapon again. It locked eyes with Julius and loosed it again within an instant. Quickly, he summoned a Keese -- it wasn't expected to do anything, but a "distraction" could certainly help, he supposed. This time, he dodged under it, ducking just as it sailed over his head.

He performed the same procedure as last time: a quick Helm Splitter, followed by several blows to its unarmored tail. It seemed to be a fairly routine foe, at least.

Navina looked over at Julius, the amount of second hand embarrassment she felt steadily growing as the voice continued to drone on. She did her best to block it out - not only was the voice grating, it was obscene. Navina shivered. She had no interest in this.

She steadied herself, breathing in deeply -- 'Julius! B-Beecareful!' -- she brought up her sword and -- 'Don't worry Buzzari, I could never hurt you' -- Navina couldn't. She couldn't. This was awful. She watched Julius attack the Lizalfos. The fact that he could ignore such awful prose and still attack with the same amount of proficiency ironically made Navina respect him more. -- 'Julius's thumb nuzzled under Buzzari's tiny chin, and the picori looked up at him beecomingly' -- She felt a little bad for going off on him, but his skill in combat and drowning out smut still wouldn't fix the issues in his organization. The Gerudo finally decided it was probably best to just try to ignore such awful literature and fight anyways. She sighed and readied herself again.

The Lizalfos seemed content to focus on Julius, and Navina was glad for it. She took the opportunity to jump quickly behind it before leaping onto its exposed tail, slashing it quickly, and then jumping back again. The lizard -- cried out in pain. "P-Please Julius! Y-you p-promised!!" -- Navina shivered, not because of the gushing blood flowing out of the giant lizard, but -- "Beecause it h-h-hurts! P-Please stop!" -- she kept hearing the vocal assault that was plaguing Julius. She looked over to him, wondering how the captain of the guard was faring listening to what Navina could only guess was a highly inappropriate piece of fiction involving him having some sort of relations with some sort of picori. Navina didn't... Navina tried not to listen to the details. Gross.

He tuned out the rest of the inappropriate fiction. Regardless of how Wiki felt, Julius had no such urges towards any of his companions. The Ball and Chain sailed towards him once more, only to have the same result as it usually had. It still hadn't managed to his Julius.

With a final stroke, his blade tore the helm from the beast -- it was definitely a Lizalfos, and it was just barely concious. Julius poised his blade at the creature. It was exactly threatening, since they were of comparatively similar height.

One of its eyes were scarred over. Its head was flat, almost like a cobra's. There was a sibilance in its voice as it answered, "Surrender is for cowards!" It launched a punch towards Julius. It carried considerable weight, but was easily guarded by his shield nonetheless. Its other hand was still grasping the chain. With a final maneuver, Julius leaped over the creature, striking it hard in the back of the head.

With the beast taken care of, Julius sat against the bars. Wiki, of course, still read smut involving himself and Buzzari while ge recovered. His arm ached, but it definitely wasn't broken. He was exhausted. The muscles in his core ached, and his legs almost doubly so.

He took off his helmet. His face, dripping with sweat, was met with cold air. It felt refreshing.

For once, and only once, Navina was happy that the guard was a competent fighter and not a bureaucrat. She sighed, since she had spent most of that time drowning out the completely explicit and cOMPLETELY UNNECESSARY PARTS OF THAT STORY.

Navina shivered, suddenly reminded of where she was. She looked over at Julius... she was unimpressed. He looked tired and worn, and not only that, too old to be doing what he was doing. Solemnly, she shook her head. Men his age should have already learned what they were competent at. Navina walked over to him, crouching down next to him as he rested. She was tired herself, but ... to be fair, she hadn't exerted as much effort as Julius had in the last fight. Unfortunately... being so close to Julius meant she could hear the grating voice clear as day. Navina winced and offered Julius an apologetic look.

' -- and anyways, I was thinking. Why even have a castle guard? You know what I mean?' -- there were sounds of .. was that a cat screeching in the background?? Navina flinched. -- 'It's like, let the theory of natural selection take its place? Population control and all that... only the fit survive! ... Man Julius, you are an excellent listener. I have to give you some credit, with the amount of times I've bothered you this week alone, how much work have I fucked up? Let's be real... ha..ha..ha... oh man... oh hOLYSH--' and then... screeching, screeching and scratching noises as the leaves began to fade out as the spell dissipated.

Navina sat down for a moment, waiting for Julius to stop panting before she spoke. She.. also wanted to appreciate the silence in the room. It was refreshing. "I'm so sorry," she said, and it was a genuine apology. "I mean..." Navina sighed. Admitting she was wrong was... well it was difficult, to say the least. "I'm certain you have a lot to deal with... but my point... still stands." She pursed her lips. "If we had more effective control over harassers like that... you wouldn't face such issues." She was pretty sure that yelling at the captain of the guard and sending him erotic novels and political rants was in the realms of "free speech". ((Or... whatever... laws... Hyrule... has? who cares. Ask Guy. I'm pretty sure what Wiki is doing is illegal or at the very least obnoxious enough to warrant a beating))

Navina got up quickly and stretched. Even though Julius would reveal his old and tired eyes, Navina would not show what was hidden behind her own visor. She smiled down at him, also dripping of sweat. She offered him a hand up whenever he would be ready.

"One moment," she said, quickly stopping at the Lizalfos. She quickly went through its belongings... finding... a small journal. She grimaced. These things were becoming increasingly common on Lizalfos she killed these days...

She then walked towards the door and opened it... and she was greeted with what could only be described as a weapons room. She stood in awe of the many frozen swords on the walls, and a few frozen canons and one unfrozen canons. She looked around, the room was rather expansive... but the only way out was frozen over. She grimaced.

Suddenly, the unfrozen canon began to rustle. Navina held up her shield, preparing for a magical canon ball to come at her... but instead, white bodies and glowing eyes peeked out. Four small, panting round faces and wet noses presented themselves to Julius and Navina. They were absolutely adorable. However, the Gerudo heard a much louder growl, and behind a broken crate jumped out what could only be their mother. She growled slightly, circling around the canon. She didn't seem hostile... but there was no way she was going to allow Julius and Navina to approach the canon (and by extension, the frozen door, since the unfrozen canon was actually quite close to it).

Navina looked at Julius. She was not going to make this decision.

"I suffer because of my own decisions. But it's true. I'm old, tired. I just hope that some day, someone will care about the people -- all of them -- as I do. Perhaps, one day, my time will come. Today, though, is not that day." He got up, replacing his helmet on his head. It was comforting, to a degree. Idly, he wandered through the halls of the mansion. There were many things he wished he could do. Sleep was most likely at the top of that list.

Julius smiled a bit at the sight of the pups tumbling atop each other. Their mother soon came from behind a half-broken crate. It was likely they had been domesticated at some point -- you could still see the spots of gray patterning their fur. Their ears weren't as pointy either. He observed the movements of the mother. She was tired. Old. The same as him. He grimaced at the thought. She was probably ready to move on. He wondered, how had she managed to deliver? He looked at the pitiful numbers of the litter. The rest must have died being delivered.

"It's alright girl," he spoke to the Wolfos, calmly. He removed his helm again, sheathed his blade, and took of his shield, unbuckling its leather strap from his forearm. He even took his gauntlets off. "It's alright, I say," he repeated as he neared the Wolfos. It stopped growling as he extended his hands to her muzzle. She took a pensive sniff. And then another. She began licking his hands, happily. "How long's it been since you ate, huh? Sad little girl," he said, beginning to pet and scratch the dog-like beast as one of his hands reached into his pouch, pulling out dried meat. She wolfed it down without issue. The pups began to whimper, seeing their mother being fed.

"Alright, alright," he'd always been just a little good with animals. He pulled out more meat, feeding one to each pup. He didn't want to see them all left here... "Wait here," he said, leading the group out of chamber, back to Yettez. The 'trip' went without incident.

He was back in the warm kitchen, the giant still slaving over the equally giant cauldron. "Yettez!" Julius greeted warmly.

"Ahh, Julius! You are leaving--" he stopped, noticing the Wolfos he brought. He raised his hands defensively.

"Ah, no Yettez! They are friendly. I think they used to be pets," Julius talked, still scratching the old mother behind an ear. "I would hate to see them succumb to whatever else lay in wait here. Can you watch over them?" The giant eyed the unarmored Hylian carefully.

"I will trust you, and watch these hounds." Yettez smiled. It was obvious to Julius that Yettez was friendly, charitable, even. Character judgment came preternaturally to Julius, at this point. He had known since the Yeti had first spoken to him.

He gave the mother a final scratch behind the ears before leaving. He watched as the aged mother rested in front of the log fire, turning onto her side. Her pups began to suckle. It was heartwarming, to Julius at least.

He made his way back to Navina without issue, again. He put all of his gear back on: his gauntlets, helmet, and shield. "Now then," Julius said, heaving a cannonball. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in adopting a pup?" He knew Navina would probably think of it as a waste of time. He placed the heavy iron ball into the cannon. It fired, without much issue. The doorway shattered. "What was that?" Julius asked, grinning behind his helmet. He knew he could get her to accept. He began to look over the design of a blade, before putting it back. Its craftmanship was mediocre.

Navina watched Julius... he seemed better with animals than running the guard, that was for sure. Navina appreciated his nonviolent approach to the pups. Although she didn't particularly like wolfoses, dogs, or anything else nonsentient that produced slobber.... They didn't deserve to die. And all baby animals were sort of cute.

However, Navina stayed put when she was told to do so. Her lip visibly curled upwards when she thought about hos the pups probably clobbered everywhere when they did such actions such as suckle. Gross. She unfortunately could not lose her disgusted face in time when she looked up at Julius when he entered the room... and after the cannonball was fired she was offered a pup. She looked over to the crashed ice and the door. At least now she had an escape.....

"N-no t-thanks," Navina stuttered, partly in disgust and partly because it was really cold. The gerudo quickly pulled out a flier ... Out of her breast. "Y-you see I'm going here right after.... I... Uh... There... I really want this tome they have." Although Julius couldn't see it... her eyes darted to the ground. Her face flushed. She was obviously quite embarrassed... "You see it ... It supposedly helps you learn a spell that summons a .. floormaster." Her blush intensified and she chewed on her cheek. "Y-you see they're ... They're actually one of my favorite creatures... And... I... Don't think I could.. handle more than one pet."

"Oh, it's quite alright. I understand the opinions of the individual and all that. Any how, just be sure to spread the word, alright?" Julius smiled beneath his helmet. He knew she was embarrassed. He didn't know why she happened to like floor masters so much, however. "Well, anyways," he eyed the icy entrance, "I think we're almost done here."

Upon entering the chamber, they found themselves standing atop an almost mirror-like layer of ice. There wasn't an innate use for tge room -- it was incredibly spacious, however. Near the top, Julius noted, were panes of stained glass... perhaps a cathedral? The entire room exuded an air of unease, either way. It was strange how devoid the room was. Perhaps that was what gave them the sense of unease.

As they slid around the suspiciously spacious room, an odd... crackling sound filled the chamber. Julius stopped, as easily as he could. Obelisks of ice erupted from the ground, ominous spires of impending danger. A final spire arose in the center of the ring. It was an icy casket, housing the form of Yettez! Julius had just seen him, though. He wondered what fate awaited the friendly giant as he drew his blade, accustomed to the peculiar dangers Hyrule was capable of.

The details were intricate; more intricate than Julius thought even Goron smiths capable of. It began to slide around on the ice, obviously propelled by some unseen force.

If Julius couldn't immediately understand why Floormasters were literally the coolest things ever then he truly was a lost cause.

Navina nodded. Although... She didn't really know who she would spread the word to. Its not like she talked to anyone outside of the guard.... And even then, it's not like she formed any close relationships with her colleagues. She followed Julius into the room, staring again in awe at the architecture of the building.. Before noticing the crystallized Yeti before her. She quickly drew her short sword and equipped her shield, keeping her eyes on and dodging the now moving ice block.

Navina jumped, dodged and weaved the best She could to avoid Yettez. Occasionally, she would do her best to chop at one of the spinning ice blocks of death. Even though it didn't seem like she was doing much, she figured that this was the beat solution she herself could provide. Maybe Julius could use those nice socks of his ...

Julius sprinted and dived out of Yettez's path. It was like playing some deluded form of checkers, where everyone was totally bonkers and no one cared about the rules. It was like he was a piece, but a mentally handicapped child kept chewing on him and spitting all over the board while their caretaker smoked a cigarette.

Regardless of whatever handicapable child may be directing his movements, he found himself no less able to deal with the spinning block of death. As he slid on the ice, Yettez came flying towards him. He knew what to do. He knew he had to use his socks. He snapped a single time as Yettez came tearing down the ice-slick floor.

And then, he leapt over the giant, though his typical Helm Splitter maneuver was a little exotic, disorienting, and... rather tiring, as his boot tore into the ice, sparks and flames melting through it. At the same time ge connected, however, an interstellar portal opened: briefly, just briefly, a flickering orb of green came into existence, stabbing towards the ice cube that held the yeti firm with an enormous helical blade. It was green and twisted.

Regardless, as Julius looked for Navina, he found himself wondering what else they could do. "Navina! Your enchantment! I'm sure that would do some damage!" He wasn't sure if it actually would, but he knew they had gained some leeway in the fight.

Navina nodded, enchanting her weapon, slamming her sword down into whatever twirling ice block was closest. A large flash erupted from her sword. As if the ice was part of Yettez, when Navina hit the one cube, it stunned the entire beast.

She nodded at Julius before quickly Blitzing at the center ice block that held the creature. The force was quite powerful, and a large crack appeared on the ice. Navina skid away as fast as she could, rolling her shoulder as she did so. That hurt. As if on cue, once Navina had struck the core once and made it out of his range, Yettez was active again, traveling around the room and threatening to kill the two guards.

Navina was young and quick on her feet, but her exhaustion was getting to her and she found herself slipping more often on the ice.
