I decided to make a list of things I have left to do before HC is ready for role playing. This list is going to be somewhat in order.

-Write the history of Northern Hyrule-

    -Describe Hyrule Castle-Town DONE
    -Describe Hyrule Fields DONE
    -History of Nabooru DONE
    -History of Lon Lon RanchDONE
-May or may not write about the northern hills DONE
-Write of the Lost Woods DONE
-Describe Lake Hylia and give history of Zora's DomainDONE
-History of both Darunia and Mido
-Add a swamp to Northern Hyrule. Write its history.

Then the PWC system needs to be worked out completely. Also the spells and abilities as well as the way rupees and quests will work. As soon as those are figured out, the Character sheet will be compiled.

Now, what I would like to have everyone do, is come up with a few spells and abilities that you want to see. Now, please remember that these need to at least fit into Zelda, that doesn't mean they have to have been in the games, but they can't seem like they don't belong in the Zelda Universe. Please list your spells and abilities you come up with in this thread.

Also as a side note, I am still looking for a couple moderators. If you are interested PM me.

    Impact Coating
    Requirements:
    1 Courage
    Deku Nuts

Description: (I'll add a good description later. Essentially, the user can extract the liquid within the Deku Nut and apply it to an item. Upon hitting a hard object with enough force, the coating will have roughly the same flashing power as a Deku Nut, and a slight explosion; this can increase a blade's cutting power, etc. Since it's a pretty simple skill, a person can apply the coating to an object on the fly in the middle of a battle, but is welcome to have prepared said objects before hand.)

    Blast Coating
    Requirements:
    2 Courage
    Bomb Bag

Description: (Basically the same as the Impact Coating, but done using the innards of a bomb. Because the operation is much more careful, objects must either be prepared for hand, or a significant amount of concentration must be achieved during the battle, for example, preparing an object while a party member distracts the enemy. The Blast Coating is less efficient than the impact coating, and has only half the explosive power of a bomb. Also, due to the strength of the explosion, it is ill advised to apply the coating to the same item more than twice within a short period of time.)

    Slicker
    Requirements:
    2 Courage

Description: (Once per quest, the user may prepare a bag containing a slick liquid, made of various herbs, oils, etc. Said oil is extremely slippery, and is flammable. However, the flames are not terribly intense, and have very little effect upon Gorons and none against Subrosians, or those with comparable fire resistance. Once created, the user can keep the bag for use during any time, and may create more bags upon beginning a new quest. However, one must keep track of how many bags are in their possession within their signature.)

    Straight Shooting
    Requirements:
    2 Courage
    1 Wisdom

Description: (Combining magic and skill, the user now no longer has to compensate for natural winds below 10 mph when throwing projectile weapons. Said thrown weapons will not be affected by wind below are at 10 miles per hour, and will be less affected by winds greater than 10 mph. However, the projectile will still be affected normally by magical winds. )

    Spell Catcher
    Requirements:
    3 Wisdom
    Shield Spell

Description: (A variation on the Shield spell, the caster can surround an object with barriers of magic. These barriers will absorb level 3 spells and below, friendly or not, and will contain the spell within the barriers. When the shield around the object breaks, or is dispelled, said spells will be released in the direction of the user's choosing. The barrier can absorb one level three spell, or one level two spell and a level one spell, or three level one spells. )

    Feather Fall
    Requirements:
    2 Wisdom
    Jump or Shield

Description: (By configuring a past known spell differently, the user may cast a spell that causes the targeted object to fall slowly, approximately at a quarter of their normal falling speed. This may only be cast on friendly targets or inanimate objects.)

    Air Walk
    Requirements:
    3 Wisdom
    Jump and Shield

Description: (By combining the Jump and Shield spell, the caster can create floating, solid barriers beneath their feet, that allow them to walk/run/glide through the air. The user will fall at approximately the same rate as if the Feather Fall spell were cast on them, making constant movement necessary to stay aloft.)

    Powder Charge
    Requirements:
    3 Courage
    Bomb Bag

Description: (A Powder Charge must be prepared before hand, and cannot be prepared during battle due to the volatile nature of bombs. The powder charge is a tiny packet, which essentially concentrates all the ingredients of the bag into a small container. The charge can be used in various ways; as a trip mine, or remotely detonated mine (via a string), as an attachment to a projectile, etc. )

Your skill list is impressive, Willow.

The only problems I have with it, is the coating abilities are likely to be overused. The Air Walk skill could be replaced if there's ever hover boots, but if there won't be any I support this skill too. Everything else I think is pretty good.

    Fairy
    Requirements:
    4 wisdom 2 courage
Special invitation from the Great Fairy.
    (Regular or Veteran Rank?)

Description: The Great Fairy summons you, taking notice of your magical prowess and great courage. Once you meet, the Great Fairy bestows you the power of the fairies, essentially turning you into one. You can now shrink and grow at will, however, she binds you to the condition that you will not transform in public places.

As a fairy, when you shrink to fairy size, you will be able to fly to any destination, as well as give off your own light at any color you desire.

Now, how do you like it?

    So, there's this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=40

When I have the time (no idea if that means in five minutes or in five days), I intend to next make the Library. I will include within it as many canonical zelda items and spells I can shove in there, as well as any reasonably suggestions made here. Additionally, it will elaborate more on how spells/skills and magic-tier items (we need a more generic term for those) will function.

As far as I can tell, the PWC system has already been worked out completely. It's simple enough, I think, that the explanation of it could fit within the character creation sheet. I could perhaps manage writing that; otherwise, I can answer any questions regarding the system.

Oh, and before I forget, I was thinking of granting characters a finite limit of "Major" spells or skills, which could include the Fairy one Bitoko just mentioned. The amount of such skills a character could learn could, perhaps, be increased when a user advances to Regular or Veteran.

EDIT: Also. Although staffers should automatically be Regulars, I believe they should have to earn the Veteran just like everyone else.

I'm proofreading/fixing up guy/willow's race descriptions that was posted in suggestions. Each race will be in their own post in case we are to fix them or add something to them. Once i have the all of that done I will add it up if that's ok. Also If we still have those race banners it would be really nice if someone could pm me the link's.

Also i will not add the offical P/W/C or abilities to them until we have officially sorted them out. And i'll atm only have the basics up.

Well as for the races, I want to make sure they all are described to fit into the history and background of our Hyrule. Also, they don't need to have their own posts, they can all be in one post and edited around inside that post. Each post can have 60000 characters, so we are very not likely to exceed that.

The other thing with the races, is there is still a lot to add for once I finish the Northern Hyrule backgrounds. I am going to need to go over them and add some stuff in etc...

What? I'm confused by your statement. The way I want the character sheet info to work is the main races and under those listed the possible backgrounds they come from.

First of all, I love the PWC system you came up with Guy. One thing I think I might make things easier to understand, is say that your character starts with one point in PW&C, instead of telling them to put one in each. Just saying you start with 1P 1W 1C and then add any special race bonuses. Then add in 3 more if you are a new member, 4 if you are a regular, and 5 if yo uare a veteran. I don't know, thats just my two cents.

    Thank ye. v:

Yeah, you're right. I'd suggest you go ahead and do that when you post the character creation thread.

Oh, and I suggest giving any character--regardless of PWC--a few rupees to be either spent immediately on treasures or saved. Fifty or so.

Ok, I will do that. And I completely agree with you, they should start with rupees and 50 sounds like a good number to start with. Also, are you planning to put restrictions on when people can buy items, such as the cane or somaria or other things like that?

I wouldn't use the phrase "buy"... but hopefully this thread should answer your question: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=40

Unless a treasure has specific prerequisites, or is major, then no, anyone can obtain it if they can pay the cost and finish the quest. Major treasures are limited to one per Newbie character, three per Regular character, and Five per Veteran character... and I expect they will all be skills as opposed to tangible items, so they cannot be transferred easily from one character to another.
