Abigail began slinging spells at the monster as rapidly as possible. Tessa found herself surrounded by hands and began cutting them down, but although Abigail saw it happening, there was little she could do about it with her current spell list. She raised one hand to her face, revealing the creature's body with Julius' Lens of Truth, looking for an opening.

"The hands are not invisible," she called out to Julius. "They simply emerge from the ground wherever the beast wills it! Do not rest in one place for too long!"

She pelted the monster in the face with stones, but got no reaction. The Dead Hand actually seemed to be ignoring her- were her spells that useless against it? It didn't seem to consider her a threat at all.

Julius plunged his weapon into its chest, and when he hit the ground she could see it just for a moment. One eye saw no change, but the other saw a dim light peeking out where it'd been stabbed.

"Julius, continue to aim for the chest! I can only see it under the Lens of Truth, but damage is accumulating there! Keep damaging it and you shall reveal its weakness!"

"Right!" He yelled over the moans of the undead.

He drew his sword. He dropped low, before taking off at a sprint towards Dead Hand. He leapt up high, thanks to his Roc's Feather-- and struck the foe in his sternum, as before, only this time he retrieved his halberd. As he did, he repeated what he had done before-- only, this time, he wasn't prepared for what was to come.

An enormous hand grabbed him suddenly. The shock-- and crushing force-- made him drop everything, from his sword to his halberd. His shield, thankfully, was on his back-- but he was in no position to do anything, especially with force being applied that was going to slowly but surely crush his bones.

He bit his tongue, attempting to stifle at least some of the pain. "Tessa-- it's up to you now! Guh!" He cried out, being wrung dry of any succulent calcium hi might have.
