    Name: Seraphine, Sera for short

    Race: Rito

    Age: 18

    Gender: Female

Place of Origin: Dragon Roost Inhabitant

    PWC: 3/1/4

    Treasures & Rupees:
    Racial Perks:
    Winged Flight, Shuttle Loop, Valiance
Treasures/Bought Perks: Mini Bombs (15), Bouncing Arrows (25), Bomb Arrow (20), Yaka Whistle (25), Navigation (35)
    Rupees Left: 20

    Equipment:
    Seraphine’s Bow 2.0:
A wooden bow crafted by her own hands as a replacement for one she’d made in her youth that had… Design flaws. It’s moderately powerful and can shoot arrows with consistent accuracy up to about 25-30 yards away. Anything further than that is a less-than-reliable target.

The Obligatory Quiver: Every archer needs a quiver, and this one’s no exception. It’s a sizable quiver that can hold a good amount of arrows, though how many it can hold depends on how hard she shoves and crams each arrow in when it’s running out of space.

Satchel of Various Uses: A satchel of various uses. It may or may not have been a mail bag at once point that Seraphine “commandeered”, but either way, it’s useful for carrying around various small objects and other helpful things that can fit inside.

    Appearance:
With messy and untamed hair, somewhat torn-up pants and a sly smirk, Seraphine isn’t the most ladylike lady, but she doesn’t allow her appearance to become so unruly that she seems utterly negligent of her cleanliness. Her feathers are a very light brown, comparable to skin color for most Hylians, though obviously more feathery and less “skinny” upon closer examination. Her hair is a dark brown, and is quite long, but usually tied up in a ponytail to keep it more out of her way.

Her eyes, like most Ritos, have red irises, and she has an average sized yellow-orange beak where a Hylian’s nose would be. Her ears are a fair amount larger than most other Rito’s, though this doesn’t seem to help her hear any better. Having earned her wings from Valoo, they’re not the most visible when they’re not spread, although when they’re outstretched, while they are far more noticeable, they have a wingspan of only slightly longer than her arms’ reach.

Seraphine’s clothing differs, though she’s almost always wearing looser, cloth shirts and pants, their light weight not getting in her way or slowing her down. Her clothes are usually in bright colors, as dark colors are, as she’d put it, “for losers”. She has a few accessories, with golden bands around her wrists and ankles, and a golden choker. They’re not really gold, though, they’ve just been painted over. She’ll usually wear fingerless gloves when out traveling, as they make it easier for her to wield her bow without getting blisters from it.

    Personality:
Seraphine is a bit of a blunt speaker, not possessing the most tact, or much tact at all, really. Seriousness has never really been her forte and neither has acknowledging people’s feelings. Towards others, she’d mostly come across as snarky, a bit too witty for her own good, and a loudmouth (or loudbeak). Despite her apparent lack of concern for how she comes across, she’s not unnecessarily mean or rude to anyone: she’s just always in a joking mood, even if it’s not the most appropriate time for a joke.

Past Sera’s snark-filled exterior, she really does care about those of whom she gets close to, but is too embarrassed about revealing these feelings to make them known for the most part. In especially dire moments or ones where seriousness is vital, she’ll keep her beak shut and act appropriately. She appreciates a good joke and anyone who can take it, but sensitive people are the kind she likes to avoid. She also obviously prefers to venture away from anyone who she thinks is likely to attack her, so those who are allied with Ganon are a must-avoid in her book.

She’s most apt with a bow as her weapon, never spending much time practicing close-quarters weapons like swords or spears. As a result, she avoids direct confrontation with enemies at all costs, instead finding herself much more at home attacking from a far-off range with her trusty bow. She likes to take full advantage of her flight capabilities for this, as most would have a difficult time striking someone far above them in the air with a sword. This also leads her to be cautious around suspicious folks, and she feels very uneasy in tightly packed and enclosed space, or anywhere else where flight is no option for escape.

    Background:
Seraphine grew up on Dragon Roost Island, with two loving parents and a fairly uneventful childhood. She went to school like other Rito, made friends, and, once she was of age, she made the arduous journey up Dragon Roost to meet with Valoo, where she was granted wings. Her father was a postman in support of the war against Ganon, and Seraphine would have many sleepless nights with her mother as they kept each other company, praying for his safe return and having a very happy reunion each time he was able to return home to them.

One day, he returned after a very long month away, but this time, he returned with a serious injury in his wing. He’d been shot with an arrow while flying over dangerous territory, and was just barely able to make it back home alive. Though he initially had been running a high fever and seemed as if he wouldn’t make it, he ultimately pulled through, much to the rest of his family’s relief. However, his wing was too badly damaged and he was essentially crippled, unable to fly and forced to retire early.

To pick up the slack of his lack of income and to keep her mother from having to work multiple jobs, Sera started her own fishing business, although instead of using a traditional fishing rod, she’d instead find a high position she could stand above the water, then fire at any fish that neared the surface, guiding her arrow to its mark using the Yaka Whistle technique she'd picked up from her father. Though this was a difficult task at first, after weeks of practice, she was able to catch her target with a consistency that she called "good enough for me". However, her spending all of her free time doing this led her to become a bit asocial, and she became negligent of the friends she had, losing all of them over time.

This went on for a few years, until Sera began to grow tired of this practice. She felt disconnected from the rest of the Rito on the island, and began to wish for more, her mind often wandering to the many stories her father would tell her of the mainland Hyrule. She eventually made up her mind that she wanted to go explore this vast and foreign land for herself, and convinced her parents to allow her to go off on her own with the promise that she’d bring them back so much treasure that they’d never have to work another day in their lives. After some lengthy preparations and a few “so long suckers”s, Seraphine was ready to take on the world, and departed Dragon Roost Island for Northern Hyrule, taking a brief rest at Windfall Island before finally reaching her destination, touching down in the Moruge Swamp.

Great art, good character. I like what you've done here, and the math checks out. With the suggested revision we discussed in the Cbox added, this profile is now Approved.

Again, welcome to HC, and happy RPing!
