Renard stands at five foot four inches and weighs one hundred thirty pounds making him small for a Goriya. His body is covered in orange fur, with patches of white fur on his cheeks, the tip of his tail, and the inside of his ears which are tipped with black fur. He wears a leather breastplate over his white hooded cloak. He foregoes any type of foot wear as it doesn't feel natural to him and inhibits his movement. He wears iron bracers on his forearms as a means of defense.

    Personality:

For a Goriya, Renard is an oddity. He isn't savage and aggressive like his kind typically are. Instead he prefers to sneak around much like Miniblins, but unlike his tiny brethren he doesn't do so to ambush people but rather sneak up on them and steal from them and disappear before they ever even knew he was there. While he can fight, he prefers not to. People can't hate him for stealing if they never knew he was there in the first place. Renard uses his brains, which is what makes him such an oddity among Moblin-kind. He will opening walk into towns under the guise of a cursed Hylian.

    Background:

While uncommon for a Goriya to be born in the lost woods, his parents had grown tired of their life in a sandy cave in Southern Hyrule. So they migrated north and took up residence in the lost woods. It was here that Renard was born and raised. As with other moblins that reside in the lost woods he was raised to ambush, kill, and loot the corpses of anyone unlucky enough to set foot in the woods.

Over time Renard came to realize just how foolish it was for them to operate as they do. They kill, mercenaries come looking for them, they kill them, stronger ones come looking for them, and the cycle repeats endlessly until some of his kind are killed. He couldn't stand it so he left. Well he left his clan at least.

Renard remained in the Lost Woods, alone. He would spend most of his time in the trees watching and waiting. When he would spot an easily snatched item he would quickly leap down from the tree he was in, snag the item and run off hopefully before he could be spotted. If he was ever seen and chased, he would simply change his hunting grounds.

One day a commotion caught his attention and he decided to check it out. It turns out he had relocated close to a group of common moblins that had just finished mascaraing a group of traveling merchants. This was his chance to snag some loot. Rushing in he would grab anything he could before running off. His brethren that had done all the hard work weren't happy, but they were to slow and stupid to catch him.

Once somewhere safe he would look over what he had managed to snag in the few moments he had was there. A ring and a nut. Well not the best haul, but it could be worse right? Popping the nut in his mouth, he wouldn't feel any different or even realize it until later that he had just ate a jabber nut.

While the ring had no special markings or engravings of any kind on it, it didn't seem like he would be able to get much for it, still he slipped it on his finger and hopped up onto a tree branch. He would start tapping his foot while waiting for his next victim. That was when he noticed that while his tapping was making the leaves shake and make noise he couldn't hear his foot actually tapping. Taking the ring off he would tap his foot again, this time hearing it. Maybe he didn't make out so bad after all. He would put the ring back on with a smile and tap his foot again. Nothing. No sound. Well that was going to help him stay concealed.

As time went on, Renard got bored of his life in the Lost Woods and decided to try his luck in a town. The closest town to him was name Darunia so he decided to head there. As Renard came up on the town he would pull his hood up over his head. While it made him look suspicious, it also hid the fact that he wasn't one of the civilized races. At least that's what he thought.

No sooner had he entered town were people screaming and swords being drawn. He had to think quick and raised his hands up and threw his hood off. "WAIT! I'M A HYLIAN! I'VE JUST BEEN CURSED!" What was he thinking? There was no way that was going to work. They would never believe him. That was when he realized that they had stopped in their tracks and were talking amongst each other.

Slowly they would put their swords away and apologize to him. While they still seemed suspicious they didn't try to kill him. That was a plus right? While walking through town and elderly gentleman would approach him and invite him to stay at his place that night as an apology on behalf of the town, and Renard would accept.

That night while lying in bed Renard would sit up and open his window and climb out of it. There didn't seem to be anyone outside, aside from a few inept guards. He wasn't out to steal tonight, but rather test out his newfound silent movement. Quickly he would dart between houses, and across streets, over roof tops. Not once did the guards so much as glance in his direction.

Happy with how the night went he would return to the old mans house and climb back in through the window and lay back on the bed. That was when he would hear a faint voice speaking a strange language, but somehow he could understand it. Sitting up he would look around before finally laying eyes on a...tiny fairy? No it was smaller than that.

"What the? His words would come out in the same strange language he had just heard which surprised him even more than seeing a Picori for the first time. The kicker? The Picori was just as surprised as he was when he heard a non Picori speaking minish.

"You can speak Minish? That's a surprise, but onto the bigger issue here. You're movements are sloppy. You're going to get yourself caught. You've got to be sneakier. The bigger you are the easier it is to see you." The picori would just smile at Renard, not that it was easy to see.

"Just what are yo..." The picori would just hold up a handful of rupees while pointing to Renard's pocket causing the Goriya to trail off. Checking his pocket he would notice that the few rupees he had were gone."When did yo..." The Picori would just toss the rupees back to him and motion for him to follow. "Enough questions just come with me. I'll teach you all about stealth and stealing." With that said the Picori would hop out the window and start running off at a high speed.

Renard would jump out the window and chase after him, clearly noticing a difference in their movements. This small creature had no wasted energy on his moves. They were flawless. It was after that night that Renard and this Picori began to travel, and steal, together.
