Name: Mako, the Skulltula Knight Race: Hylian Age: 17 Gender: Male Place of Origin: Lost Woods PWC: 3/1/4 Treasures and Rupees: Racial: Sense, Message, Hero's Legacy. Starters: Command Melody, Reclūs (Combat Companion), and 10 Rupees if I've done this right. Equipment: A longsword of Hylian steel, with a hand and a half hilt. A bottle of Skultula poison. A Ukulele made from the husk of a Skulltula and it's legs for the neck. The strings are regularly changed, lengths of Skulltula thread. Knowing Mako, it's design is probably more for aesthetic than anything else. A length of strong rope. A torso shield made from the strong back of a Giant Skulltula, known for their annoyingly resilliant hides. Pet: Reclūs: Reclūs is a common-looking Skulltula, a few inches larger than par for her species. Her body is of an unusually brown tint. Liking to reside on Mako's back almost like a backpack, she will venture off if bored or willing to hunt. While in battle, Reclūs will often lung at an enemy with fangs barred. She uses any means necessary to find an opening, working with Mako's fighting style like a well oiled machine. She can be flung from his sword as a projectile, jump from his shoulder while in close proximity or a sword lock, or use a quiet approach and bite their opponent from the ground. Appearance: Mako is an average Hylian, about 5'11" with a trackstar build. Rigorous sword training has given him plenty of muscle, but nothing more than his semi-broad shoulders is very formidable about him. Sandy brown hair graces his head, and blue eyes with a penetrating stare set into his face. His features are delecate like his mother, though usually covered by a mask made from the husk of a dead skultula. This covers his nose, and ends just above his often toothy, almost mocking, grin. A common cotton shirt rests over his torso, and thin khaki colored pants are tucked into his knight boots. Leather greaves, spalders, and leg braces serve as his only basic protection. His right pointed ear is pierced five times up it's length. The piercings themselves are, as one might guess, Skulltula fangs. They often twitch if he feels a disturbance using his Sense ability. Personality: Confident, sarcastic, and easily excitable. Mako was raised in a rather remote cottage by his parents, with stories told of the expansive land of Hyrule. When he was finally set free to explore his land, he quickly grew to love it's mysteries and lore. He is kind, and delves into most activities whole-heartedly. It is very uncommon to see him without a smile on his face, even in combat. Mako is very talkative, which gets on many fellow adventurer's nerves. He actively seeks out sparring partners, almost as a way to make friends rather than training his skills. An almost unending stream of banter can flow during a contest of prowess, and there is nothing he loves more than near death situations. His fear is almost always coupled with his idea of fun. His confidence may come off as arrogance to someone he has just met, but a sinple conversation with him could tell a lifetime of story. He simply knows his own abilities, and ignores inhibitions. He has no time for "what if's" because that's time he uses for "I will." Background: Mako's parents were villagers of the Western Caves, sent as refugees after those dark days so many remember. With their infant son, the couple found refuge in the quiet outskirts of the Kokiri Forest. It was not an easy life, but a simple one. Mako's father hunted for their food, and his history as a guard for the village gave him the skills he needed to defend their cottage from regular onslaughts of creatures from the depths of the forest. At the age of ten, Mako found himself wandering further through their bit of forest than he had ever been. He unluckily chanced upon a nest of Skulltula. His bloodcurdling cry sent his father hurtling through the woods after his son. His eyes met four giant Skulltulas, and innumurable hatchlings, all with a ten year old bound in a caccoon. The events were a blur. With the haze of battle dulling his senses, he slashed his way through arachnid foes. Finally cutting down his son from a web, sustaining several more bites than anyone would have thought humanly possible, and losing blood rappidly; he limped back towards his home. Behind him, the skulltula's nest burned to a crisp by his torch. Mako looked into his father's eyes as the venom sapped his strength, a sad smile meeting his gaze. He was proud of the battle this man had waged, however small it may seem in the grand scheme of the world. He took from the body of his father, degrading from the poison, a Hylian sword and a slightly charred Skultula egg stuck to his back. Five years passed and Mako lived with his mother, supporting their household and training his own swordplay. The Skulltula that hatched from the egg became his pet, and the two grew an almost symbiotic relationship. His mother was now an older woman, and rather ill. She was fading quickly, but the teen was prepared for her passing. She asked him only to retain the happiness of his youth, and wanted her son to create his own story like the ones she had passed to him from her parents and so on. He longed to make his parents proud, and see a life outside of the forest. Two years later he found himself in castle town, ready to truly begin his adventure.
It seems you've only take one racial perk (Sense), when you can in fact have three. It's optional to take them, but if you want to gain another two, feel free to edit those in. One more thing I have to note, though, is... well, the Western Caves are at the completely opposite side of Hyrule from the Lost Woods, as you can see on the map. His origin should be edited accordingly. Otherwise everything looks quite good, so once you make that tweak, I'll be happy to mark this as approved.
