While Leo may be a quiet boy, he is still filled with courage and will fight for all in danger. Whenever he does something heroic, he sorta becomes a different person, much more bubbly and open.

Leo was taught by his Father how to use the wind to his advantage and how to use magic to increase his powers, this gave him a great adeptness at using gale force to his advantage.

Leo fulfilled the task of travelling up Dragon Roost and meeting with Valoo, thus he was blessed with a scale of Valoo.

Leo was taught by his father how to use the wind to help an arrow meet a target, he no longer needs to worry about magnetism or wind when using his bow.

Leo is able to enchant his weapons with the force of a powerful gale, he usually uses this on his bow, however from time to time he will unleash a hurricane using his trident.

Leo knows a technique that allows him to unleash a storm of a thousand cuts using his feathers and the powers of wind.

Moonlight Bow

The Moonlight bow was his father’s previously and his father before him wielded it. This family heirloom is made from the inner wood of a light tree that allowed it to be easily carried while in the air. It clearly has many battle scars and is adorned with many carvings of Rito symbols. At the top of the bow hangs a singular purple feather.


Storm Trident

This Trident was awarded to his father in a contest years back and now Leo got the chance to stick it to him by taking it from him. It’s made out of a light alloy that allow for easy flight while carrying it.

Appearance: Leo is a strikingly tall Rito, standing at around 6’ 7” with thin, long, limbs with brown feathers spread throughout his body, due to his height he often catches strange glances and questioning stares, which does not sit well with him. He often moves like he is not used to his body, long arms and legs often cause him to bump into walls and hit his head on a doorway, much to his dismay. His arms are covered in brown feathers that end with small black feathers that cause small black dots to be seen as he moves around, at the end of his arms are two proportional hands that have lean, slender fingers that end in rounded fingernails that are more often than not painted black. On his right arm there is a huge burn scar that trails up from his shoulder to his index finger.


Leo has a fairly sculpted face that could easily be seen as handsome and attractive, he has a piercing gaze with his red eyes, he often can be caught staring at people even though he means nothing by it, he just often gets lost in thought. His bright yellow beak can most easily be compared to that of a peregrine falcon, the beak ends with a small black point, which is almost impossible to tell if it’s natural or just grime from living on the road.He has long white eyelashes that are usually covered by his jet black hair which upon further inspection is clearly dyed, as you can find small strands of white hair. His hair is notably long, almost reaching down to his chest, it is most often tied up in a long ponytail.


Personality: While his height and general demeanor might lead some to assuming that Leo is some battle hardened fighter, on the inside he is really just the opposite. He is a gentle giant who couldn’t hurt a fly, that is unless this fly by chance, hurt him or someone close to him. Then his gentle demeanor will just fade away and he will turn into a raging beast, using anything and everything that he has to unleash hell upon this theoretical fly. Usually afterwards he will apologize to everyone nearby, he is a very self conscious person and absolutely hates his anger.


Leo is a very shy person and often has trouble speaking his mind even in a group that he is good friends with, his quiet voice is most often drowned out by the sounds of chatter, due to this, he has mostly accepted the fact that he can’t really lead a group. While he does enjoy the time he spends alone, being able to talk to himself and not have to worry about being heard, he still craves companionship and will often search for a group to adventure with.


Background: Being born to a Fokka on Dragon Roost Island caused Leo at a very young age to become very introverted, scared to talk to others besides that of his mother and father. This led him to grow a tight bond with his family, often not leaving his house to spend time with kids his age, just sitting in his room listening to stories told by his father of his time out travelling the great sea. Leo would be amazed by these stories, wanting to grow up and be just like his father. Leo would live like this way into his early teens, enjoying his life to its fullest. However tragedy would soon strike the Avale family as Leo’s mother suddenly became stricken with a mysterious illness that would eventually leave his mother dead and his father stricken with grief. Due to this, his father would become filled with wrath, that would cause him to lash out at Leo, the two would have verbal fights everyday sometime ending up in physical beings.


This home life eventually led to Leo breaking out of his bubble and trying to meet more people his age. This led to Leo joining a group of delinquents on the island who would get him into lots of trouble, which led to more problems in his home which would lead to Leo leaving more and more which just turned into a terrible cycle. However being with this group wasn’t all bad as he learned quite a few tricks, most notably how to grow cloud seeds almost anywhere! The group did eventually all make their way up to meet with the great Valoo, which is a tale that could last for hours if Leo could actually speak his mind, this however was not appreciated by his father, who was angry that he went out and completed the ritual without his knowledge. Leo prepared for another verbal assault however he would be surprised when he was told to pack his bags and to follow his father out to the boat.


This event would lead to Leo and his father taking a 2 year sailing trip where his father would teach him everything he knew, teaching him techniques that his family had passed down through the generation, he taught Leo everything he knew about weaponry and taught him how to bend the wind to his whim. Leo would hate each and every second of this time, finding it excruciating to be stuck with his father with the only other thing accompanying him being miles of sea and the occasional pirate crew. This trip would come to an abrupt end with his father facing a fate befitting the rage-fueled man, falling off the starboard side while drunk one night while Leo slept. When Leo awoke the next day to see that the boat was empty, he had simply assumed that his father had abandoned him the night before, deciding that he never wanted the man to find him again, Leo grabbed everything he could and deciding to give his father one more thing to be mad about, he lit the boat aflame. However it seemed as though his father had one last thing to give him from beyond the grave, catching Leo’s right sleeve on a hook, causing the flames to touch his right arm, scarring it permanently. But Leo had luck on his side, the burns barely hurt his wings and was able to rip the sleeve, he then ran off, escaping the boat and being able to fly just enough to land somewhere safe.


After a few months of healing, he decided that he needed to travel the world to find a purpose and find companionship, taking off for hyrule.
