Merely sixty-five pounds and an even six feet tall, Lachii is none the less on the thicker side. Her relatively tall height and curvy build give her a strong presence, particularly among smaller races. However, though difficult to discern due to feathers, she lacks much muscle and the lightweight bones of her people actually make her more fragile than she appears.

The black beak that takes up most of her face is narrower than most of her kind, with a slight downward hook on the end. She has large, rusty red-brown eyes that are completely round in shape. Her dark brown hair is long enough to hang down to her waist and is exceptionally straight, naturally lacking any wave or curl to it.

She has a thick coat of feathers across her body, predominantly white with scattered brown ones strewn about. The taloned, scaly shins and feet at the end of her legs are the same black color as her beak. Her curves tend to center around her lower body, giving her a pear-shape and what one might call 'turkey legs'.

    Personality:
Charismatic and graceful, Lachii takes a great amount of pride in nearly every aspect of herself. She has no shortage of self-confidence, to the point of bordering on outright arrogance. There is little she doesn't believe herself capable of, and is reluctant to admit there are things she can't accomplish.

That said, she has no qualms with being underhanded, asking others for help or using manipulation. As long as her own competence or ability aren't thrown into question, she does whatever is easiest. The one thing she genuinely works hard on, and takes far more pride in than anything else, is her singing.

Lachii loves to sing and for people to hear her songs, and while in part she basks in the attention she truly enjoys seeing the positive effects her voice can have on people. Though prone to focusing on herself, she has a pleasant demeanor and can be outright flirtatious at times. However, if her pride is bruised she can get into an irritable and petulant mood.

She loves the sensation of soaring through the sky, but has only done so through the use of Hyoi Pears. The inability to sing while flying in this manner is especially dissatisfying, as is giving up her favorite snack to the local birds to do it. She wants wings of her own, to spread her voice to others, and to further increase her skills with the art of song.

    Background:
Born on Crescent Island, Lachii grew up wanting for very little. The most difficulty she found in her life is from her parents, who for the most part were supportive and overly doting. Her father maintains a steadfast sense of traditionalism and duty, while her mother believes that their daughter should be perfectly content on Crescent Island and discourages anything particularly ambitious.

Caught in the middle of these views, Lachii herself had confused and mixed feelings growing up. Apathy became a means of tuning out these arguments when they occurred, which often took place as if she wasn't there as it was. Instead she focused on what she wanted over the wants of her parents, and at an early age this led to discovering her love for singing.

Her talent for singing brought her popularity on the island she called home, and despite their differing beliefs both of her parents encouraged her to pursue the skill. The native Tokay in particular seemed to enjoy whatever she sang, whenever she sang it. Over time, this general lack of criticism helped in over-inflating her ego.

As she got older and her singing improved, she became more popular and learned how to make use of that popularity. At the same time, she felt an increasing desire to take to the skies. Any comments about the subject however would instantly spark arguments from her parents, so she began to vent those desires through Hyoi Pears.

Things continued in this manner without much change, and for the most part she was content. However, the desire to fly continued to grow within her. She began to try and learn about the pilgrimage and the outside world more, particularly by seeking out visitors to the island for information.

Learning such things led to a strong desire to share her voice with the world, her wish for wings now backed by a purpose to use those wings for. The travelers she acquainted herself with also told her of bards and songs with great and mystical power, only further encouraging her. So it was that, without informing her overbearing parents, she prepared for travel.

It took some time for travelers that planned to head to Dragon Roost Island to appear, but when they did she managed to endear herself to them. Securing passage on their ship in exchange for song, she set out with them without pausing to give out farewells. The first step to her journey taken, Lachii eagerly looks to the day she can fly.
