    Equipment:

Plain Rucksack: A large, sturdy and waterproof bag with straps that allows it to be worn on the back or over a shoulder.

Pet: Lucky Pebble, a rock that is completely mundane in every way aside from being fairly large, heavy, and Goro refusing to eat it for a reason that he doesn't remember.

Appearance: Goro stands at a staggering seven feet and four inches tall, and weighs in at five hundred and twenty pounds. On the large side even among Gorons, he very much resembles a boulder with arms and legs. He has an especially broad chest and shoulders, giving him a 'top-heavy' appearance.

His head is almost seamless with his body, with a boxy shape to it thanks to hard rocky growths. These growths frame the sides of his face in a manner similar to sideburns, and cover the top and back of his head and connect to the similar rocky growths down his back. He has a wide, heavy forehead with a pair of thick rocky 'eyebrows' above his eyes.

His skin is a sandy brown in color, while the rocky formations are a dark gray. His eyes are akin to polished lumps of coal, and seem small and beady given the size of his head. His upper body being particularly large makes his legs seem even smaller, even considering the proportions of most Gorons.

Personality: The concept of The Gentle Giant fits Goro to a T, as he is calm and agreeable the majority of the time. He finds joy in the simple things, to the point of failing to understand the appeal of more complex and stressful goals. As such he lacks any real aspirations of his own, and prefers to help others with their goals instead.

While he has no issues with engaging in violent or unlawful actions, he dislikes causing pointless or excessive harm. At first this comes across as a simple inability to understand the differences between 'right' and 'wrong'. However, Goro is perfectly aware of these concepts and simply rejects them in favor of a more immediate, personal morality.

He is very loyal to those he considers his friends, and will not hesitate to strike down any threat to them. He has a strong sense of fair play, finding deception and trickery distasteful. That said, he doesn't mind taking part in deceptions and trickery designed by others so long as it does not directly involve harming someone while they are unaware.

Not one to hold a grudge or to judge others, he behaves in a friendly manner towards nearly everyone he meets. Even when facing ferocious monsters, he only resorts to hostility if the situation requires it. However, he lacks any sense of finesse and often uses far more force than he intended to by accident.

Goro has a very poor memory, to the point of not remembering most of his own life. Though he values and respects talented thinkers, he dismisses knowledgeable pursuits as unnecessary for him on a personal level. Unfortunately this and his slow and simple mannerisms often causes people to believe him to be genuinely stupid.

Although he is slow and clumsy, he likes to make little trinkets. Mostly these are simple shapes, plain figurines, or basic toys. The things he makes are usually made from single pieces of wood, stone or metal that he happens across and lack any fine details or 'polish'.

Background: If you asked Goro, he would tell you he had always been in the Lost Woods but could only recall a few years prior in fuzzy detail. He would then heft up his Lucky Pebble and declare it his oldest companion, though he wouldn't be able to tell you why he won't eat it. If his poor memory was noted, he'd joke that 'Goro' is the only name he can remember and might not even be his real name.

In truth he was born and raised on Death Mountain back before it was taken over by Ganon, though even back then he had a terrible memory. His Lucky Pebble is actually a memento he took from the mountain when he was forced to give up the fight and flee along with the other Gorons. As for his name, it really is Goro and he's been making that joke since he was a child.

His life on the mountain had been relatively uneventful and peaceful. He used his size and strength wherever it was needed, and never stuck to one job or craft for very long. As a result he worked in the mines, tended to forges, fended off monsters, hauled shipments of goods, and any other task that called for plenty of brawn and not too much brains.

After becoming a refugee like many of his people, not much changed for Goro. He continued to offer his strength to whoever needed it, taking up a wide range of jobs in a wide range of places. Often times the work he performed involved a fair bit of traveling, and over a decade ago it brought him to the Lost Woods.

Accosted by thieves as many who wandered the woods were, the encounter proved to be an amusing one due to Goro's lack of valuable possessions. All he had was his Lucky Pebble, his trinkets, and a few passably tasty rocks for food. The thieves didn't leave empty handed, however, as thanks to his physical abilities and amiable nature they took him into their group.

While Goro believes them to be his friends, and he does indeed have a few friends among them, most of the thieves simply see him as a handy source of dumb muscle. He for the most part agrees with this role, as he leaves his more clever friends to decision making and plans. However, his sense of 'fair play' does at times frustrate the other thieves when it ruins otherwise perfect ambushes.

Goro still works with the thieves in the lost woods, but one of the more ambitious of them has started to branch further out. Thanks to his own lack of personal ambition he is often sent out from the woods, frequently to simply be intimidating and occasionally to smash into a dusty old ruin to claim treasure. So in many ways, life continues the same as it always did for Goro and the outside world seems fresh and new once more.
