Dungeon: Ice Cavern - Ocarina of Time

Bell was not one to make trips to the Northern Hills often. They were somewhat out of the way and rarely was she deployed there. Yet, despite being a day off for her, she was here. The promise of a beautiful meadow past a chilling cavern seemed too romantic and appealing for her to pass up, despite the possible dangers it held. "Miss Downs," Bell called behind her to her sort-of employer, though one would not find Bell using the term, especially because she refused any payment for this venture. "Is this the cavern?" She asked for confirmation as she stared into the dim, rocky opening in front of her, the cool cavern air gliding across her face.

Truthfully, Bell had little clue where their destination was. She knew little about the intricacies of geography or their destination; the only thing she knew is that they were seeking out an icy cavern. Her employer, Alicia Downs, seemed to have at least a scant more knowledge than Bell about where they were heading and how to get there, so she placed her trust in Alicia, just as Alicia placed her trust in Bell to defend her in this place.

Alicia had been staring at the mountains for some time now. She could clearly see the ridge that they needed to reach, or rather, get close to. The mountains were manageable in size here, more like large hills, really. And the place they wanted looked to be within three or four miles. If they could just find the cave this trip should take no more than a few hours, even winding straight through a mountain with all her gear. Looking from her map to the mountains and back to the map again Alicia tried to imagine where a cave might form. She hoped she had not dragged her escort on a wild goose chase. Unfortunately, that did happen sometimes, like that one vision involving a sentient stocking and a multicolored scorpion. Then again most of the things she saw were not quite that... unusual.

As Alicia stood there fruitlessly trying to think her way through this problem, it was her companion that found the solution by virtue of her superior observation skills. Hm, perhaps I could ponder less and use my eyes more. She thought to herself as she joined Bell. She looked into the cave opening and was happy to see that some light could be seen farther back, possibly small cracks in the cave ceiling? She took a few steps forward and was surprised at how cold the air was inside. She had expected it to be somewhat cold here but this felt icy. It seemed like that aspect of her vision was to be taken literally, after all. Alicia stepped back out and turned to Bell.

"It does indeed look like what we want. A bit more chilly than I had hoped, but the icy cavern was such a small part of what I saw. With luck that means our destination will be all that much more rewarding." She smiled brightly at the Hyrulean knight. Actually, if this meadow was even half as pleasant as she expected then this painting was going to be a masterpiece.

Alicia gathered up her gear making sure the bulk and weight would be manageable. She had insisted on carrying everything herself, pointing out that Bell would likely need her hands free if there were any dangers on their journey. Alicia was not really worried, though. Bell was a knight, a far cry from her usual escorts. Also, she highly doubted there was an actual ice king in this cavern. "Shall we?"

Whether she realized it or not, the light Alicia spied in the darkness ahead included glints and reflections off a 3-foot-tall suit of armor.

The cavern's echoes made Sienna aware of their conversation, though not what they said. The doubted they would go without noticing her for much longer. Needless to say that made ambushing them a difficult proposition. Two against one made it seem like the odds were in her favor, but at least one of them seemed decently armed, and Sienna knew she was still sore from the "workout" earlier. No, perhaps a full-frontal assault would not suffice in this moment. Would it be best to just approach them like a sane "adventurer" or whatever socially-acceptable mass-murderers call themselves these days?

Sienna lamented the fact she might actually have to pretend to be normal. She released a soft, annoyed grunt. They probably heard that.

She idly pried her massive glaive out from the dodongo corpse at her feet. Blood spilled across the cavern's icy floor, and continued to drip from the razor edge of her weapon. They definitely heard that... Who knows. If she just stayed quiet and mysterious, maybe they would just outright attack her and fulfill her temptation--the temptation to maim a pair of Hylians.

'Oh yes,' she mused. 'Hylians are always so expressive in response to pain. Females even more so.' A shudder ran down Sienna's spine. She quietly pulled the mask over her face, so they wouldn't be able to see the perverse glee on her wooden features. Clad in incredibly thick armor, the tiny titan strode towards them--armor jostling noisily, feet landing with heavy thuds, and a ridiculously huge glaive dripping with fresh blood. She wasn't even trying to not be intimidating. At this point she practically wanted them to attack, and any logical resistance to the idea was dangling by a thread.
