    :roop:: 10

    Equipment:

String and Rope: You have no clue how many of these are left around the lake, the string consisting mostly of fishing line. You can imagine how Elijah acquired these. (hint: he's totally messed with some fishers.)

Clothing of Various Sizes: Most of these are actually owned by Elijah, the ones that don't fit him were most likely found around the lake. He's not a thief, some things just get... left behind.

Personal Waterskin: I know what you're thinking, he's a fish, why does he need this? He has one just in case. He's found that out of eel form, he's very thirsty, very often.

Rugged Spears: A pair of spears picked up by Elijah on his travels. They're worn, but still sharp. He practices with them when he's human, but he's by no means very good.

Blankets Hidden on Shore: Sure, he has clothes when he comes out of the water, but it still gets cold while on land sometimes. He has a few hiding spots for these.

As a human, Elijah is what'd you call a twig. He reaches a good height for a Hylian, around 6 feet if you were to measure him, probably more. His weight is settled in at a 150, and he's rather scrawny for his height. His legs are long and actually not as thin as the rest of his body, seeing as he does do a bit of swimming, even in human form. His arms are just as proportionally too long, and his torso slim.

His face and his features all are very sharp-looking. His jawline is moderately prominent, and his face long with a slightly pointed chin. His ears are normal for a Hylian, but seem to bend back to the back of his hair due to his facial structure. His nose seems to be very straight, and face first looks like there's hardly a nose at all, you can really only see his nostrils. His eyes are sharp and slightly tilted, giving off a smug look at almost all times. His eyes are blue, the colour reminiscent of bright blue sea water, hovered over by short, grey eye brows. His hair-line is relatively normal, and usually visible at all times. His hair is a light black, acquiring a gray sheen in the sun. Untied, his hair falls down to his upper back, but is almost always pulled into a light bun at the back of his head.

His usually clothing includes light, airy cloth that's normal for the sunny weather where he lives. He has a favourite scarf, a light coloured red, that he's usually seen wearing tightly around his neck, where the ends fall to his back. Some times he has a shirt, sometimes he doesn't, but his pants are mostly all puffy and tie off below his knees. He carries around a sort of sash that ties over his shoulder and waist, where he keeps his waterskin and other items.

In bestial form, Elijah takes the form of a large eel. It doesn't take up a huge amount of space, he's very round around his face, but slowly thins to a smaller tube at the end of his body (for reference, look up conger and electric eel). He spans about 9 feet long, give or take, although that sounds like a huge amount, most of his width is made up of fins that stretch down his body. His face is rounded and while he has sharp teeth, and it he bit you it would merely be an inconvenience. His teeth are just made for eating smaller fish and crabs.

    Personality:
One would imagine that it'd be somewhat hard to determine the emotions of an eel. You'd be correct, to an extent.

Elijah is not just an eel, as much as he may have forgotten that his eel form was once not apart of his life. Seeing as his past memories are very muddled and confusing to him, it's hard to say when or why exactly he, as a person, began to change.

As a child, Elijah was known for his joking attitude and disinterest in important situations or serious questions. This was promptly beaten out of him as he aged older, needing to become the heir to the family that was needed. As much as he was still the same to his close siblings, he became impassive to others who took up conversation with him in front of his parents. He grew up fast in some aspects, knowing there was no point in being the 'rebellious teenager' and despairing over being groomed into another person. He had accepted that in his own way, knew how he was required to act in public, but that didn't mean he had to give up his own interests. What may have been mathematical books dropped into his hands were soon slipped back onto the shelf, traded for his growing interest in magic. It began with ways to unconsciously do things his parents didn't want, but bloomed into a true passion.

He was still a young child inside, and only his siblings saw him in his true form. When his sharp eyes glittered in laughter, or the stories he told after sending them mental images of the ridiculous fashion sense of some of the noble ladies he met while with his parents, that was how they knew him. He could have never truly been in charge of the family company, he took too many risks, was too unconcerned in problems, too interested in studying magic and not learning how to control business.

But a lot of that fell away after he was taken.

While in captivity, Elijah struggled to become accustomed to his new form, and the more time he spent locked away inside, the more he could feel the world outside of his chamber become so distant. While he retained a lot of his character inside, most human thoughts diminished and he became an eel. When he finally made it out, it took a lot out of him to regain his forgotten hopes, dreams, and personality. The first time he truly felt something was the first day he awoke on the shore, human.

Currently, he's regained a lot of his past personality with a few exeptions. Seeing as he's mostly forgotten about responsibility, he's hardly ever as apathetic as he used to be, but there are moments where he's able control his emotions as much as before. His passion for magic is underlying, and while he practices what he knows, it very hard to get new information in his spot.

As for his past home, he's forgotten many things after his isolation. He hardly remembers home itself, or why he would need to return. He's very hesitant in certain aspects, aside from when he curiously gazes upon visitors to the lake, or as he plays smaller jokes on them from a distance. Now, he spends the days bathing in the sun, or in the dark depths of Lake Hylia in his feral form.

    Background:
    Remember.... remember.

His eyes drifted from star to star in the sky, hoping for anything to come to mind. It'd been so long since he'd seen anyone he remembered. Each passing day seemed like nothing compared to what he'd lost. He could remember only so much, and even that was precious to him. He closed his eyes, shutting off the vision of stars, and tried to remember what he knew. And so the young man was lost to a dream, specks of things that used to be.
    ------
Elijah. That is what his parents named him. Their first born that would live to take over what they would leave behind when they were gone, their beginning of a legacy, and certainly not the last. His parents had gone on to have many other siblings, in fact, 4 if he could recall (haha, how ironic). How unusual it seemed to him at the time, not many nobles had as many heirs as his family did, and what a blessing it had been. There had been none other than his siblings that he had been closest to. How funny, he could remember none of his brothers' faces or titles.

But he could never have forgotten Mae. The moment he remembered his sister's name was the moment he truly felt as if he had lost the world. It had been hardly a week since he'd gotten out of his cursed form when the first few tendrils of memory seeped into his brain. How amazing it had been for those to be the best memories of his life, given to him before the rest. Those were only happy days, he would take her to stores, go on walks, joke with her, spoil her. What better to spend his money on than ways to make her happy. She was the first one to encourage him to pursue magic, in his own little way. If anything had ever happened to her, he would have shattered. It'd been four years since he last saw her. He assumed she had forgotten about him now, all grown up, three other brothers to rely on. Besides, that's hardly the biggest part of his story.

It happened on a family trip. He assumed he had been traveling with his father, maybe mother, perhaps even a brother or two. (Mido, he had decided in his mind. If he would never remember, what was the harm in making up a few things). The trip was long, and they had stopped to camp out for the night, surrounded by men they'd hired to keep them safe in their wagons and carridges. All he'd needed was air. Now that he thinks about it, that was probably one of the last times he'd get that kind of air.

Something had grabbed his attention. He can't- he can't quite place what it had been. Perhaps a flicker of light? A noise? Being the seventeen year old boy he was, he did the worst thing he could have done. He stepped outside the protection of men and dull glow of light. All he remembered afterwords was darkness. No pain. Not even a sound, just... silence. A tall, young man stolen in the middle of the night. He has to admit, he was extremely impressed, even towards her.

Yes, her. He awoke in a room with a locked door, no torch, only a crack high up on a wall that showed the swamp beyond. It wasn't long before she appeared before him.

He doesn't remember anything after that. The rest are just as you'd expect, flicks of her motions, feeling he had, the exact moment he had forced something down his throat and uttered the words that would change his life forever. Even now he wonders why she had chose to curse him like she did, perhaps he didn't need a reason. All she needed was power, and boredom, something to keep her entertained. An ordament on a wall.

His soul had been shoved into another form, that of an eel. At first, he acted as any other would in his situations, he rejected anything he was given, he would attempt escape, but only so much was possible.

During the first year he held onto his hopes to get home, to avenge what had been down to him. To become human.

On the second he forgot about returning, and only cared about seeing his family again.

When the third rolled around, he forgot what home looked like, and forgot his hope completely.

    On the fourth, he forgot.

His tank was spacious, he was given food, but for one to just become a normal eel must have been boring. He doesn't know if the woman who kept him had died. He doesn't know if he was stolen, or sold off, but four years later he was suddenly dumped into a fresh stream in the middle of nowhere, left for dead. No one has even assumed he had one been a person. But, the notion had finally seeped into his brain, filling him with a sense of wonder. He was free.
    -----------
Elijah spent half a year travelling from place to place through stream, slowly learning how to live life freely in his new form. It never occurred to him that he may be able to change back, until the day he awoke on the shore of his latest adventure, Lake Hylia. His body was back, and older than he remembered, but the moment his eyes met his own in the rippling reflection of the lake, he began to remember. He was more than a feral animal, suddenly, he was a boy who had been sealed for years, still a child. He would have to practice going back and forth from forms, but what he had been given was more than a curse to him now. It was his freedom to live as he wanted.

Looks fine, for the most part. Just subtract 10r, because you probably thought that Magic Proficiency was going to cover the full cost of Electric Aura, which it does not. Apply the changes, and your app will be approved.
