    Level 1. "Eagle"
    Eve - 40 + 10 rupees

The sands bounced harmlessly off of Eve. The weather was getting better, but hope was not dead for some shelter still. She spotted a small group of trees. They were reasonably spaced, but the center one was larger than usual and featured a gaping maw. She cast off her cowl and came to examine the hollow.

It was a rather strange face this tree had, familiar even. The darkness of the mouth grew around her vision. It sucked her right inside, deep below its roots. She was spit out into a large, rectangular room. Everything inside was a strange monotone turquoise color, with some strange indigo head statues scattered around the room. She was surrounded by doors, but only one of them was left ajar.

    ". . ."

Upon entering the room to the left, she noticed immediately that it was largely empty. A worrying contrast to the room before. Something was very wrong here, sickeningly so. That's when the music started.

Oh look what a clever child!
See her study, watch her learn
    How I HATE this baddy-baddy
How she makes my stomach turn!

    I've got a little SEEECRET
    That'll really make 'er cry
It's a nasty kind of magic
From a SPECIAL kind of guy!

This tree is made to orrrder
But isn't used as a bed
When she looks into this tree
    She's sucked inside instead!!

TO THE MOST UNPLEASANT PLACE SHE'S EVER BUMBLED

THE MAGIC LABYRINTH OF I. R. TRUBBLE!!!!

    Very scary and confusing
    DESTINATION OF MY CHOOSING!
MAGIC LABYRINTH OF I. R. TRUBBLE AHAHAHA!

"This is a joke, right? Please be a joke."

Eve noticed above her, as several Keese dropped from the ceiling. They all looked pretty real.

    "My gods it's serious."

Eve cracked her knuckles. There was one too many of them to try to hammer each one out. She cocked her fist back, it was time for that thing she had practiced. She dropped her foot and started to punch in the air, swatting in every direction repeatedly with her balled fists. The flurry of punches bowled two of the Keese over. They catapulted across the chamber, one of them ricocheted off the floor and died instantly.

"KYAKYAKYAKYAKYAKYAKYAKYAKYAAAAAA!" she howled, visibly furious already.

    I. R. Trubble thrust his pelvis in the background, confident she wasn't done fighting yet. With a twist of his hips, he vanished into his own blazer. In that moment, the blazer vanished in a puff of smoke. His squeaky voice still rang off of the walls. The hovering Keese clawed and scratched at Eve's face and arms. A few extra punches brought back the distance between them.

In her hand, she had grabbed one of the Keese by the neck. She squeezed and set it ablaze with a flame choke. The wings of the oversized bat burst into cinder and ash. A gloved arm swung down and spiked the sizzling creature like a holiday turkey fresh out of an oven onto the feast table. With the numbers scattered, she reached down into her adventure pouch for her battle hammer. The two still hovering nearby swooped past her. A small cut appeared on Eve's upper-arm. She was thrown off-balance to the left, and teetered a bit before gaining her stance back.

"Flying rats." she hissed under her breath.

With a wide horizontal swing of her hammer, she managed to plow one out of the way. The Keese from the floor that had survived had taken flight again. I. R. Trubble cackled in the distance, overjoyed with himself. Eve suddenly wished she had brought a reliable projectile attack with her. Flying things were a pain normally, but lots of flying things was pushing it. She flung a high kick at the pair of annoying creatures. They fluttered around, and she missed the mark completely. The frustration was building in her face.

With a squealing shout, she dropped her battle hammer on one of them. There was a crunching sound as it soared into the wall on the far side of the room. The laughter became tremendous, Trubble hadn't imagined in all the centuries and decades that there could be someone in the vast world capable of taking this long to stop a handful of Keese.

    "Keheheheheheheese!" Trubble giggled musically.

Eve headbutted the last one, which veered in the air. Barely succeeding, she managed to grab the final one out of the air. She bit its neck to assure it would die before causing any more trouble. Trubble's laughter ceased abruptly. Noticing they were all dead, he reluctantly let a key slip out of his pocket. The pervert was still clearly visible and hanging onto the ceiling.

Slowly Evelyn stepped over to the key, mindful not to take her eyes off of I. R. Trubble. She slipped the key into her pocket without any fanfare or even so much as a victorious gesture. Eve bolted out of the room.

"Let's just get this over with."
    Room 1 Cleheheheeaaar!

The door across the entry hall opened effortlessly. Eve peered in to make sure she wasn't passing by anything. The fare was somewhat harsh, it seemed to be five Stalfos patrolling the room. One of the clattering guards had another sizable key hanging from his belt. It shook lightly and taunted Eve like a dangling treat in front of a dog.

"Do I want another key this badly?" she asked rhetorically.
"OF COURSE you want another key! Heehee!" Trubble sang from behind her.

It looked like there was no avoiding it, especially with this shrill imbecile at her back like this. Two thick sets of pillars portioned off the room. It was possible to fight them one or two at a time. Eve flung open the door and stomped over to the first of the bunch. He clattered along in some random direction, but then turned when he heard the sound. He raised his shield, expecting a sword to come swinging at him at any second. There was a smashing noise like falling pots. Eve's battle hammer had crunched loudly against the shield. Wood splintered off of it, and the metal continued to vibrate wildly.

The collision shoved Eve off to the left. The skeletal beast laughed and swung his sword around madly. Eve blocked the best she could with the hammer shaft. He was really pushing her back, she would lose her balance soon. She had to step backwards to avoid it, and ruined her own range of attack. It peeved her that they all had shields. With her Power Bracelets she was able to lift the battle hammer over her head. With a heave she tossed it at the crazed skeleton, who had still been swinging his sword in every direction. The thick metal weapon crashed through his ribcage. A hole blew through him, and his spine fell apart in the resulting pile of bones.

The next Stalfos came crashing down with his sword, trying to tackle Eve as she retrieved her weapon. There was a bright flash followed by a crack. Eve had seen him coming from around the corner and thrown a Deku Nut at his upper torso. He fell silently in the wrong direction, completely disoriented. A breath of relief came from Eve's mouth and nose. She turned on her legs as she rose up. A swing of her weapon collapsed the creep's skull. The Stalfos stood back up, now without a head. Eve's next swing was thrown back by a shield-bash. Eve glared at him, trying to hit him with a glit glower. The twisted golden shine phased right through him, he didn't even have a head anymore.

"Look at this fool, so gullible. She's been trapped and tricked by I. R. Trubble!!" the demented man twirled in the corner.

The Stalfos directed his next shield-bash at Eve's face. She was painfully thrown back into the pillars. Trubble's gesturing was becoming more and more annoying and vain. There was a stinging feeling in Eve's joints from the fall. She shoved herself back up, shuddering and creaking. With a clank the Stalfos stomped over the tiles to reach his prey. His mad dash to her was interrupted as he felt himself flying to the floor. Eve had tripped him with a swipe at his shins. Maybe he really couldn't see anymore. Pieces of him scattered when he hit the floor. Eve made sure to finish the job by breaking a couple more parts.

Eve twirled around to face Trubble, but he was already gone. He was always right out of danger's reach even if only by a hair. This was the last straw, Eve wanted to make this ass-master pay back with all of her being. Propped back up all the way, she tip-toed around the pillars. She would have to start with all of his minions. She slid around the corner to check out her new prey. There it was, a Stalfos. It was minding its own business and somehow didn't hear the racket before.

Still moving incredibly slowly, Eve sneaked close behind the monster. Her spirit of anger came crashing down on him. This Stalfos was broken to pieces in seconds. Hopping up and down, Eve slammed the Stalfos into tiny bits of dust. She even stomped her boots on all the dust to be extra sure. The fourth Stalfos turned the corner and looked around the pillars. He joyfully saw that it was a short little girl, fresh for stabbing. He looked at her face for a good, long while. There was a violent flash from her eyes, maiming the undead creature and filling his body with cracks. The burning subsided after a second, but it was already too late. She put her entire body weight into a full-swing and flung her battle hammer through the Stalfos. There was a shower of sparks and the skeleton vanished into oblivion.

The warden-looking Stalfos with a key on his belt had been watching from behind.

"What a great skill you have. But I need to kill you to appease my boss. Also because I will enjoy it."

It was a well-known fact that Stalfos loved to kill Kokiri, almost as much as Lizalfos loved to kill Kokiri. He unstrapped his saber and stepped into a fencer's stance. It was clear he wasn't going to go easy on anyone. He stepped into position and began to swing and tap his heels on the ground.

    "NOW!" Eve shouted.

    I. R. Trubble was expectedly perched right out of range of the fight, to look on and watch from close-up. Eve shoved the Stalfos and glared right into Trubble's eyes. He shook on his perch, aware he was being targeted. But Eve's eyes had reflected some kind of horrible dimension into his consciousness. He kept looking and was unnerved. He had to slap his own face to snap himself out of the visions. But it was too late, he was outsmarted. Eve had gotten her hammer into overhead-throwing position while he was distracted. She threw her weapon high up at his pillar-perch.

The battle hammer touched I. R. Trubble's coat. The millisecond the weapon touched him, the background began to swap with other locations. The labyrinths and dungeons spun: forests, prisons, bushes, castles made of diamond, and anything one person could think of showed up to replace the surroundings. There was a sound like a scream from down the hall as the setting came full-circle and settled down as the turquoise tiles from before. The skeletal warden was convulsing and shivering on the floor. Eve grabbed his key and went to find her hammer. She stuffed everything in her Adventure Pouch and ran right the hell out of there.

Gasping for air, Eve legged it to the door. Trubble's falsetto screams rang throughout the corridor. There was a huge door, presenting from itself a keyhole. Eve jammed the key she had grabbed from the Stalfos into the huge lock. The stone slab split in half and swiveled open wide into the next room. There was six tightly packed pillars in the center of the room, creating something of a wall between both sides. Eve tiptoed into the expansive hall.

The first noticeable thing was that two Stalfos patrolled one side of the room, while one patrolled the other side. This was meaningless information if it hadn't been for Eve's plan. She schemed over how it would work. Using the pillars, she would sneak out of the vision range of two of the Stalfos. She approached the one on the other side silently. She hurled a single deku nut in the skeletal guard's direction. With a bright snap and a flash, the guard was stunned and immobilized. Eve didn't think too hard about how this worked on a skeleton.

The air was tense. The girl wasn't sure that the snap of the nut went completely unnoticed. She stepped quietly over to the stunned Stalfos. Eve heard the clatter of the other Stalfos on the other side of the pillars. It was now or never. Eve smashed the spine of the Stalfos with one fell blow. The skull of the creature went flying into the ground. The jaw hopped up and down to try to make the head escape. Eve refused to let even a piece of this monster get away. There was a brief silence before Eve smashed the skull into pieces.

Eve picked her hammer off the floor and stuffed it in her pouch. She silently moved toward the door. The Stalfos finally noticed her as she stood in the door's frame. With an excited squeal she hopped through the door frame. The two Stalfos ran in full force to smite the little pesky intruder. She slammed the stone doors shut on their faces. Evelyn wiped the sweat off her brow. What a hassle that was. But she turned around to see five more Stalfos to take their place. Eve gulped in surprise.

The leader stormed ahead of the pack. He was a heavy-built skeleton with a gargantuan spiked iron club. He laughed with the booming loudness of an active volcano. There was fire in his eyes; yes they were literally on fire. Steam evaporated from his joints. This commander was notably more powerful than the other Stalfos. Eve staggered backwards, hesitating to run properly out of shock. She wore a face that said "I've made a mistake, I shouldn't be here." But the Stalfos didn't care what the circumstances were. All intruders were to be punished. He let the club crash down on the Kokiri.

The iron club slammed into Eve's gut. She flew back into the wall and splattered like a tomato. But like a tennis ball, she bounced back. She picked herself up and leaped back into the fight. There was a stiff silence while the leader gauged his opponent. He had assumed the girl defeated after the first hit. Eve propped herself up with her battle hammer, as she usually did when hurt. She counterattacked with a whack to the leader's hipbone. The construct stifled a bit, then got back on his feet. The leader laughed again, glowing embers flying from his skull.

    "EEEEUUUUAAAAAAAAAGH!" Eve shouted in rage.

The leader clashed weapons with Eve. She lunged forward to try to throw him off. The leader kept his ground well as she pushed at full force. She simply wasn't big enough to push him. The barbaric child put all her strength into her power bracelets. It wasn't enough leverage yet. She reached out in front of herself. There was just a little bit more. Eve reached one hand around the Stalfos' spinal neck. A burst of evil flame enveloped the chattering skull with colorful bravado. The skull fell off after the Flame Choke followed by a full power push. The shove of the bracelets had the entire skeleton falling to pieces on the ground. The skull hopped around frantically trying to re-form the construct.

While the skull clattered around the floor, Eve took initiative. She went for his huge club and picked it up with a little extra effort. She had to swing in a circular pattern to get it off the ground just as the Stalfos would. She twisted and spun around the room with the huge club in hand. Contact with the other Stalfos was instantly effective. The club crunched into the armor and bone of the enemies, tearing them to little pieces each in a few swings. With a crack, Eve slammed the club down on each skull. She smash, smash, smashed the entire room apart. The floor tiles were a broken mess.

Eve gasped, breathed and panted over and over. It was done-- all of the skulls were smashed to bits. Eve grabbed her hammer off the floor and went over to the center of the room. A little chest stood on a pedestal. She flipped open the top and reached in. Inside was another one of those keys she had found before. It was golden in color and had a little loop on the end. Eve scratched her head. Was that key the thing that all of that effort was for? Eve scowled murderously all by her lonesome.

"AAAAUURRHHRGGGGGGAAAAH!" Eve barked and screamed. She flew off the handle, frustrated by all the keys and doors and Stalfos.

With a howl she smashed the wall with her hammer. The brick and tile fell to pieces as she thrashed about. She ran into the giant hole she left behind.

    "Room 5"

There was a darkness as the weird girl entered the opening. Gasping for air, Eve lifted herself from the floor as if she had just awoke from a blackout of some sort. She searched her feelings and thoughts. It became apparent to the abnormal Kokiri that she was still in "I.R. Trubble's" labyrinth. Or at the very least some sort of dungeon as it was becoming more possible by the second the cackling cryptid hadn't been real. At least that's what she hoped until the distinct possibility that she might witness him again.

"Let's see. . . what would Julius do?" she asked herself. A quick check of her pockets revealed a formidable blue dagger.

When she looked around the room, there was a crystal sheen to the dungeon walls. It was that diamond castle she had seen in the background before, of what she had still hoped was a bad dream or a piece of undigested beef. Among the pillars in the room were some Stalfos, at least it seemed. The skeletons were made of crystal and were entirely unmoving. In the center of the large chamber was an adult hylian's height crystal mirror.

"If I'm going to get out of this nightmare I'll just need to push forward, as many times as I have to." she whispered to herself.

She approached the huge mirror, spotting something odd in the center. The brat got ever closer and a little green object seemed to move toward the mirror from the other side. She reached viewing range of the mirror and the object as soon as she could. There was a weird rectangular artifact hovering around the height of her own torso. It had little vestiges of pipes and machinery coming out of it and a ghastly specter's skeletal face poking out the top-ward center. It was either machine or cursed tablet in appearance. The object seemed familiar somehow but the girl couldn't put her finger on it.

In a snap, a black smoke-cloaked ghost of a girl formed around the artifact. It groaned and shot toward the surface of the mirror with a roar. Eve winced, closed her eyes, and came to a second later. The mirror had changed into an ordinary mirror and when she looked around the Stalfos were no longer crystallized and fully functional. She snapped at the first one to get near her. Her unrealistically sharp crystal dagger cleaved into the Stalfos already cracked skull.

Two other Stalfos recognized the girl in the room as they witnessed her repeatedly slash to take apart their skeletal ally. Eve had no time to assess the strange vision she had just experienced. She retrieved her giant hammer and bowled over the next Stalfos as it attempted to rush her. Bones flew across the room as it fell apart like a broken piano. She had a lucky strike and was sure these fights would not get any easier on purpose. However, remembering her previous technique she was sure not to get killed by these things.

She threw a bunch of Deku Nuts at the last Stalfos. His armor was open and revealed a massive key in his chest. The weird girl started hammering on the stunned enemy. She was sure to pound down the creature as it was the only threat left. As it crumbled under her, the key shaped object started to loosen and clattered to the floor. Eve examined it, lifting it in front of her. There was a silence as she looked at the heavy object. It was thick, golden, and exhibited a large eye shape in the center. The key's horned design made her sure it was the boss door key, something she was getting too familiar with.

Eve pushed her way to the leftmost exit door. She dragged the boss key a little, then left it behind as she reached the door. It would be worth it to come back for it when she needed to bring it to the boss door, preferably after the enemies were clear.

Eve checked the inside of the door, seeing a flock of Keese surrounding the pillars inside. She looked closer and there was a big lock on the exit to this chamber. It was clear to her that wasn't the boss door so she doubled back to the other side, east of the chamber she had just tried to exit. There were half a dozen Keese in that chamber as well, but some object gleamed on the floor and she just had to see what it was.

There was a silence as Eve checked her back for something to swat down the Keese with. Judging by the lack of a door in the room, Eve didn't think she had to rout all of them either. She ran into the room, letting some of the Keese flock to her. She tossed a Deku Nut at the three approaching, then another. The flash of one of the nuts colliding and smashing apart knocked the group to the floor. Eve ran to the edge of the room and picked up the odd object. For another lackluster surprise it appeared to be a dungeon compass. She knew this might help anyway and ran for the exit.

In the next room, or rather the one with the mirror from before, Eve checked the compass. There was a slight shudder and then the needle on the compass started to point toward the slightly-cracked wall. Although she had collected keys before, she could either try to go all the way back and proceed or attempt to smash the wall without bombs. Eve had seen this hallmark so many times she wondered why she hadn't invested into a sack of bombs. She shrugged and went back into the other room to the west.

Almost certain she had enough keys, Eve went to the door and struggled with the padlock. The swarm of Keese above began to stir amok the air in the chamber. They took no time to flock to Eve as she tried to get the door open. Eve swatted at the flock with one hand and her dagger. A couple Keese went down on their own. Another of the Keese bit down on her arm, taking in a sip of her poisonous blood and recoiling to the ground.

"OW GET OFF!" She screamed, as she was truly overwhelmed this time.

The rodent-tooth hole in her arm stung. With a solid motion she removed the padlock and forced herself into the next chamber. A set of gauze from her Adventure Pouch had to be tied to her forearm. She made haste getting it tight. It seemed she could patch herself up as a trio of Zols guarded the center of the room, hilariously and harmlessly. A barred door to the west signified to Eve she may have to slaughter the little gummy candy enemies.

Eve mercifully froze each Zol with her special dagger, utilizing the Ice Gems effect. With a loud snap the westmost door unhinged. Eve ran for the door, feeling her patience draining as the pain in her arm continued. She shocked herself, caught between the boredom of a normal dungeon and the surprising gauntlet of surprises it seemed to contain. There in the center of the black-floored room was the odd impish man from the entry of the dungeon. He immediately began to sing between the two blazing torches.

Did you know, oh did you know?
    Eastmost Peninsula is the Secret
Did you know, oh baby did you know?
    Eastmost Peninsula lies that Secret
All my life I've asked myself
    I sing it aloud-a-all ev'ry night
    That Eastmost Peninsula is the
    Eastmost Peninsula
    IS. THE. SECRET!

"Oh my Farore, oh my Valoo. Will you just shut up already! That song doesn't even make sense this time! Please shut up and leave me alone! Go away!" Eve yelled and hollered as she suddenly clasped her ears with her hands and ran out the exit. What a horrible waste of time.

Eve escaped the madman, running another chamber over. There was immediately five Zols surrounding the many pillars in the room. Eve made incredibly short work of the tiny blobs. One of the creatures bounced into the air in front of her, but she was able to snap it back down with a flick of her combat dagger.

She started to figure, having just been on the westmost part of the dungeon, perhaps there was something to the madman's words. The eastmost peninsula would be the branching path on the other side, the "other wing" of the eagle. Eve would not know of this until coming across the treasure of the room, a small map. The map had vague square outlines of all the rooms, and on the corner of the paper was an emblem in the shape of an eagle, showing the connection more clearly. With a clearer picture under her belt, Eve headed north into the next chamber.

    "Room 11"

The next chamber was unlike the others. There was a great catwalk, branching in both directions and connecting with the door on the other side. It was a treacherous platform high above what appeared to be a bottomless pit. Eve would have to be very clever not to fall. Three Stalfos teetered on the platform in the distance, she would have to find some way of tripping them to their doom. A more courageous and sturdy fighter may be able to take them in melee combat and drop them, but Eve just didn't have the brutish form to overpower them by hand.

Eve tiptoed on the platforms, putting her feet closely together. Spreading her legs out led to risk of one of her legs falling right off. Her boots were well-made for clinging to stone floors though. With a little dedication, she worked across the side. The door was wide open and there was no hint of a bonus for defeating the enemies. She flung the chain of her weapon with a wide and powerful sweep. Again and again she tried to catch the leg of the first Stalfos to trip it. Knowing the danger, this Stalfos began hopping in defense, jumping higher and higher. With the chain flinging around like a jump rope, it eventually caught its leg and tripped it into the abyss.

In the disorder of the fight, the other two Stalfos looked over. The precarious and odd shape of the platforms led them to have difficulty walking all the way over. The sort of S shape of the middle section was just right for reaching the exit in good time. She could beat these two to the exit, or take them out. The map implied the exit was a dead end of some sort, as she knew the "eastmost peninsula" was the "secret." Eve turned around upon reaching the far side of the room. She was going to have to do a lot of poking to get rid of these two.

Eve filled her hands with Deku Nuts and started throwing. A coward or not, falling down that pit was not anywhere in her plans. She battered the Stalfos pair with many exploding nuts. With them teetering on the precipice, Eve equipped her chained dagger and started flinging it at them. One single direct hit and one lost balance and fell off the side. The final one was slowly gaining control again. In a desperate effort to get it over with, Eve made a wide sweep with the chain knife and sent the skeletal creature barreling into darkness. With her breath getting worse every moment, Eve charged into the next room, the lair of the Goriya.

Letting her breath catch up, Eve peered at the Goriyas across the chamber. They didn't seem to have noticed her yet. Needing some courage, she pulled out a crumpled letter from her pocket. Julius wanted to explore this suspicious area with her. She regretted that he didn't have time to come, and she had stumbled upon the entrance a little sooner than she had even expected. Looking at his letter, and remembering the man's words gave her a little more confidence.

    "Room 12"

Spooking her, a Goriya appeared from the near corner. Eve gasped, shoving the letter back in her pocket. The Goriya's animated face indicated worry and he was not holding any weapons like the others. She kept up appearances by wielding her dagger. Her spot in the light caught the features of the creature's face.

"I come in peace! Master's guardians are after you, you know. I can show you the way forward! He has many labyrinths and minions. These places used to belong to Ganon eons ago, but their disuse left them in obscurity. When Master found them, he transported them to his dimension. You will have to conquer all eight levels to stop him, he will continue imprisoning innocent people until then. Oh, I am so tired of it all! I will help you reach him in secret." the Goriya elaborated. His tone of urgency making the entire monologue hard to absorb.

"You, what, you, him? What." Eve replied, her eyes bobbling around at the creature's visage.

"I said I can help you defeat him! You know, the guy with the song? I. R. Trubble?" he added, hoping to jog her attention.

"Oh him! The Peninsula fellow, very annoying. Yeah I entered here hoping I could do something about him. Does he have a weakness?" Eve inquired back at him.

"Well he has many weaknesses. If a child corrects his grammar, for example. . ." the Goriya answered sheepishly.

"I have to pretend to be a kid and answer grammar questions? That's oddly specific are you sure I can't cut him?" she responded, swinging her dagger playfully.

"He doesn't easily take to harm. The Book of the Grammarian is shattered into pieces across every labyrinth. If you were to defeat the guardians and complete that book, you may be able to imprison him!" the Goriya replied excitedly.

"No, no way." Eve reacted. "I do despise that guy though it may be worth the trouble."

Eve faced the other two Goriya, realizing he was the third one. Having not been told not to fight the others, Eve rushed forward. Detecting boomerang attacks, the girl weaved forward and evaded. Watching a boomerang come back, she unleashed the chain of her dagger around the closer Goriya's arm. Arresting his arm, the boomerang came back and grazed him before falling helplessly to the floor. Eve grabbed and pierced the creature with her dagger. Holding the chain tightly, she threw him forward like a human shield as the other barbarically approached. Wrenching her dagger free, she doled out a number of stabs at the approaching one who had stumbled over his comrade's body. Gasping for his final breath the Goriya fell over with chilling frozen wounds on his torso as deep as his lungs. Eve cruelly turned the dagger back on her captive and went to work on the poor enemy. Wrangling the two limp bodies on the ground, Eve recovered a golden key from one of them.

The girl quickly turned her attention to the next chamber. What she saw in the dim doorlight was a number of large blocks surrounding some central feature. What she didn't see were the blade traps awaiting her within.

Eve worked her way inside. Hearing a shrieking squeaking noise, she dove forward. Her tuck and roll saved her from two speeding Blade Traps colliding with each other. She followed one of them to the corner. Using a length of Cheval Rope, she attempted to tie it in place. According to the directions, this was a dead end anyway and she would be able to come back for the rope. She then realized, that if she were to untie the rope on her way out, it would no longer be holding the trap still. She sighed and put the length of rope back.

Turning her attention to the rough diamond shape of blocks in the center, Eve made her approach. That strange Goriya had told her he would guide her forward, but maybe this part of the dungeon didn't count. The types of blocks on display were common assets to dungeon architecture. It was most likely she had to push them in a certain order. She shove on each and every one to see if they would slide. One of them budged and slid the very length of a whole block. This was a puzzle? The slid block opened a passable area into a stairway below. She was sure she would have to push every block into the shape of an eagle or something. Although she made another sigh, this time of relief, knowing she didn't have to do such a thing without guide divots.

Making her way down the stairs, she noticed it led to a dark chamber. Barely visible were some Keese, which locked onto her upon sensing her enter. She swatted at them with her hands as she tried to descend the stairs. The residual effects of her Muscle Band at play, hitting them just hard enough caused them to swirl to the ground unresponsive. What awaited her at the bottom was a single, solitary ladder.

Finding no other use in the moment than to climb the creepy ladder, Eve did so. Above her head was some sort of chamber. There was a source of light in there too. The girl would have found it inconvenient if it were the only place in the whole facility with no light source, although labyrinths commonly had features like that. The small lantern on the wall shed light on one singular object on the platform. There in the center was a beautifully detailed bow aside a quiver with a number of basic arrows inside. Remembering at some time trying to use a bow and arrow, Eve wasn't super excited. But this was a unique opportunity. She had never been possessed to just buy a really sturdy and accurate bow from town before. This item falling right into her lap was a good excuse to try out the sport once again, maybe she would get used to it this time.

Retrieving the item and slinging the bow and quiver over her shoulder, she made her way back into the labyrinth proper. Avoiding the Blade Traps again, she had to reach the place she had left off at. She was certain there was a locked door a few chambers back. . .

    "Room 13"

Returning to the chamber she had found the map in, she approached the locked door to the east. Eve fit the key snugly in its place and she seized up a bit, expecting some sudden comeuppance in the next open room. The doors slid open, a headache inducing sliding noise coming from the grinding stone. Three Goriyas patrolled in this room among the pillars, marching around a single extra boomerang. This sturdy boomerang looked like it wasn't yet used at all, the perfect loot for completing the upcoming fight. With her new bow and arrows the weird girl assumed she would do just fine against these trained weapon hurlers.

"Every day we stray further from the Goddess's light." Eve announced, drawing the string of her bow.

Knocking an arrow, Eve aimed the wooden apparatus and tried to line it up with an oncoming Goriya. Making a sweeping swing, the humanlike rat creature threw his weapon. Eve missed and loosed an arrow into the flying weapon. The boomerang sailed to the ground and the stray arrow disappeared somewhere deep into the chamber. Quickly, she tried knocking another arrow as the beast charged. She had to hit him this time or he would use some sort of martial art to take her down. Pulling way too hard, Eve launched another shot which screamed into the monster's belly. He tripped off of his feet from the force, sliding on the smooth stone floor.

Eve put her free hand up to her face, her fingers mimicking a smoking crossbow. She blew the imaginary smoke away with her pursed lips. One down, two to go. Her ignorant conquest continued as she continued loading arrows. Wow, this was so easy she didn't understand why she had never thought of it before. Maybe it was just based on the concept that professional archers had a much better time hitting difficult targets. The way she was shooting, such success wouldn't come outside a small space such as this one. Even then, if she had discovered some magical way to straighten the path of her arrows. . . now that would make her a good shot. Blowing heavy holes into her enemies, Eve stood over the twitching bodies. She had to make sure they stayed down, so she kept shooting. Something about pulling a simple string with the Muscle Band was so satisfying. In fact, it was getting difficult to pull the important ammunition back out of the lifeless corpses.

Starting to complete her downfall into an utter villain, Eve picked up the loose boomerang from the center. The weapon did not seem to be magical in any way, but she wanted to keep it anyway. She was in more than enough terrible situations where she needed to throw everything out of her pouch anyway. A verified weapon was certainly welcome in there. Forcing her way deeper into the labyrinth, Eve shoved open the door to the east. The map seemed to suggest this was the eastmost peninsula. It was likely the friendly Goriya had run off into here, anyway.

Speaking entirely of the devil, the helpful Goriya appeared in front of her face. His wordless shape seemed to suggest he was leading her to the end of the dungeon. His arms stretched out, he pointed at a swarm of Wallmasters surrounding the room. Eve checked her quiver, noting that she had recovered all her arrows no matter how bloody they be. already exhausted, she let out a deep breath and started stringing up arrows.

Having eight Wallmasters to thwart, Eve hastily knocked arrows. She went as fast as possible for a beginner. There was a lot of luck in recruiting this new ally, as the hands were tough to see against the sunset-like darkness of the roof of this magical labyrinth. I. R. Trubble's stench was all over the astral design of the background. His guardians were these monsters, so it seemed. Perhaps what awaited in the next chamber was more along the lines of what she had expected. Wallmasters were imposing, especially in numbers like this. The phantom-like hands dove down from different places in the room. Eve had trouble shooting the first few down. She even grabbed the boomerang again and threw it at the next oncoming one. Her hands empty, she slipped out a few Deku Nuts to attack with.

Stunning the next few Wallmasters, Eve lunged at the floored hands with her impossibly sharp dagger. She was getting better and better at handling large numbers of enemies. This had only been the beginning of her struggles, too. Freezing and slicing the various hands, Eve turned her attention to the last two hands that had not lunged yet. The hands converged above her in the sky-like ceiling's expanse. Between the creepy hands emerged the outline of I. R. Trubble, as if he had teleported in a haze of electricity. His appearance with the outstretched hands was menacing, if only for a moment.

Knowing full well the hands were still monsters, Eve drew her bow again and started shooting. The heavy-drawn shots made the monstrous hands into little playful rockets as they soared back across the chamber. The deviant's face in the center faded away as he knew his illusion had been for no good. On the ground, among the great amount of hand-bodies, sat a key. The large key with horns with a purple and red eye in the center appeared to be a common boss key. Eve knew what this meant, including that heavy door adorning the wall. She had no other choice but to open that door. She was not only not totally out of breath, but she wasn't getting less tired as time marched on.

Struggling a little with the heavy key, Eve snapped the giant lock open. The chamber doors slowly parted, noisily like the other doors. These doors were so noisy she didn't know exactly how she snuck up on so many enemies today. The dark light from the chamber glowed through the opening like a rising sun in the morning. Within, there was a bright, starry sky of galaxies and colorful glittering little stars. The pillars in the chamber stood out as black shapes in front of the brilliantly eye-catching light coming through. Among the stars in the background, a brilliant green creature appeared. The massive creature, similar to a plesiosaur or a very simplistic dragon bore upon itself a magically twisted unicorn's-horn atop its head. The scaled demon towered above everything else, its eyes like a dark fire before the stars.
