It was the late afternoon in Castle Town, and the sky was filled with yellowy clouds across the horizon. The thumping of large arms made a noisy ruckus across the stone walls of a building in the oversized town. Pushing back against a rope, Briggson the Goron slid down and hung off the side of a large drainage tunnel that led to the sewers. His burly handlebar mustache hung in front of his beady eyes as he peered down the tunnel.

"What a great day to rappel off some buildings, brotherrr!" he announced to nobody, cheerfully hanging around from his rope.

Soon a different sort of ruckus made itself present. A loud scurrying came from inside the tunnel. Somebody was running this way, toward Briggson. He shifted his rope so he was looking back down the tunnel. A well-hidden figure under a hood rushed out below him, and made away through the streets. The darkened figure was hard to make out, but Briggson could tell something was not right. He detached himself from his rope and looked around himself again. It took a bit long to get back on his feet, and the suspicious person was already long gone. But it seemed like somebody else was coming. . .

Deanna was having an awful day.
She'd been hired by someone to keep an eye on someone and it was generally the most shifty job she'd ever taken, and it had all gone roots-up very, very quickly. "Get out of the way!" she shrieked as she launched herself out of the tunnel, sprinting as hard as she could after the hooded figure. "Stop right there!" she howled at her quarry, skidding around the corner after them.

She'd finished up for the night last night. She'd written down all her notes on the person she was investigating and packed up and headed home, and had woken up at the same time her target should have been getting up according to their schedule, except this morning was apparently different because she had surreptitiously made her way to their house, dressed in her regular clothes and with her distinctive hair crammed under a hat, and then found that her target was not there.

She'd completely lost them. Gone with the wind. Absolutely nowhere to be found. She'd been searching for them when she had managed to walk herself right into the middle of a chase, a hooded figure on the run through the streets and into the sewers. They could be her person of interest. They could be someone completely different. But Dee wasn't about to let a Suspicious Person who was clearly on the run from some kind of wrongdoing to escape. Even if she kept rolling her ankle jumping over obstacles and sprinting after the target. Even if...

    she turned a corner.
    and they weren't there.
    Damn it!
