Carasa stands a six foot three inches tall and weighs one hundred ten pounds. His features resemble that of a crow, with his body being covered in dark purple feathers, with a large yellow beak. He wears an iron chest plate, iron bracers, and iron shin guards. He wears black cloth gloves with iron plates on the back of them to cover the back of his hands. He also wears the cloak of his for mercenary groups fallen leader.

    Personality:

Growing up Carasa had a lot of anger at the loss of his parents, and his lack of wings like man of his brethren. As he grew old he focused that anger on training and growing stronger so that he could survive where his parents had not. He is often crass and rude, but well meaning. He's a little rough around the edges, but an overall good person.

    Background:

Growing up Carasa didn't know his parents, and never knew why they had left the Rito home of Dragon Roost Island. He doesn't even know if they themselves were wingless like he is or if they had the ability to fly. The only thing he had left of them was the clawshot that they left behind. Being alone didn't consume him with despair though, but rather made him angry. He used this anger to get stronger so that he wouldn't be a forgotten nobody like his parents.

As he grew older he joined up with a local mercenary group who taught him the basics of combat and helped him to grow even stronger. He was taught old tracking methods and how to identify footprints in dirt, mud, sand, and the like. As well as to put his ear to the ground to listen for footsteps in the distance. As time went on his tracking skills seemed to soar. It was like the earth itself was helping him to spot tracks, and heard more clearly further away than before.

One day in Hyrule Castle Town his mercenary group was stopped by an old wizard who was insistent on talking to Carasa. With his leaders permission he was given time to talk to the old wizard if he wanted to. He had been curious about his tracking for sometime, maybe this old wizards interest in him would explain it.

He went with the old wizard who told him he could sense a strong affinity with the earth and earth magic within him. The old wizard would ramble on for a moment before placing a strange gem in his hand, telling him to imagine that he would control the earth itself. Carasa didn't know why he did as he was told, but did so anyway. While imagining himself summon walls and pillars of earth, or throwing spears of earth from the ground he could only chuckle.

It was then that he realized that the strange gem that had been in his fist was gone and the old wizard was ecstatic. Explaining that gem was known as a skill gem and that Carasa now had the ability to control the earth and urged him to test it out. Upon kneeling down and holding his hand close to the dirt beneath him it would start to swirl up and around him as he imagined. He couldn't believe it. He really could control the earth. He couldn't believe it.

Without thinking about thanking the old wizard he would run after his mercenary band. They had gone off for a job without him and he was planning on catching up before they reached the target. It was all for naught though. When he finally caught up all he found were corpses, the target long gone. He would use his new found power to dig graves for each of his fallen comrades and give them a proper burial. As he lowered his mercenary bands leader into his grave he would see he was clutching a note with his name on in.

The note on had to words on it. Live on. It seems like the leader had known that this job was going to be too much for them and sent him with the wizard to spare him from death. He would remove his leaders cloak and put it on before covering him with dirt and summoning a small tombstone for him. He would live on. He would live on and grow stronger and someday seek out revenge for his fallen comrades.

As I can see you're excited to get out and RP, I'm certainly not going to nitpick or beat around the bush.:dig:

Also, I want to interject that I'm surprised the site didn't die given all the forum software issues. Keep some copies of these guys just in case, and celebrate our first batch of post-mortem characters.
