Concerned for their safety, leaders in Nabooru have taken to keeping an eye on the surrounding areas near the town. Being so close to Death Mountain, they worry that an attack from Ganon's forces could come at any time. And their vigilance has paid off, scouts have reported a forward operating base having been set up by a team of moblin scouts in the nearby forest. Fully operational, the base would give moblin forces an area to stage their attack from on the town. Reports indicated that this might already be happening, a large force of moblins could reach for the base any day now and begin a long and bloody siege on Nabooru. In order to stop this, three mercenaries have been hired to infiltrate the base and destroy its ability to help begin an attack.

The base itself is located in a large clearing in some dense woods, the clearing having been made by cutting down trees in order to create the walls of the base. The base walls are twice the height of a normal person consisting of tree trunks being driven into the ground around the base. Each tree trunk is sharpened to a point on the top and are tightly packed together to form a large circle. Two gates allow entry into the base, located on opposite sides from each other. Each gate has two large doors that can be closed and fortified at a moment's notice but are currently open with just two moblin guards standing in them. Finally, four large look out towers stand equal distance from each other by the base walls, with each tower housing a look out moblin armed with a bow and arrow to shoot targets with and a horn to alert the base to an incoming attack.

Alright, finally got a post up. Like it says in the discussion thread, take a moment to establish your character if you want and then have them focus on doing one action. Like investigating something or setting up something they want to do. Once everyone posts I'll give more information about the base as you explore it and tell you the results of your actions.

If there's something you need described in greater detail that you'd be able to see but I didn't include in the post, bring it up in the discussion thread and I'll give you the info you need as soon as I see it.

Fortunately for the residents of Nabooru, scouts were not the only kinds of able men that had recently resided within their walls. For on the branch of one of the trees surrounding the clearing perched a most... unusually large bird, resting one hand on the trunk for balance as his eyes peered at the encampment.

Ni'Ran Amiron was a man without a home, whose wandering had finally taken him to Nabooru. There, he had overheard the report the scouts had brought to their colleagues before reporting in to their superiors, and he had freely offered his sword and wings to the cause. Requiring no pay, only food and lodging for a few nights after the job, he had been hired as the leader of a very small band of mercenaries willing to eliminate the threat. Once they had arrived in the forest, he had taken the job of scouting ahead on him, also because he wanted to see the numbers these Moblins had.

The Rito swordsman lacked a Hawkeye, but he didn't need it to see that the Moblins in the camp vastly outnumbered the men he had with him. Moblins were stupid, but powerful... he would never be able to kill more than three of them before being found and turned into a pincushion by the archers. He could only keep his Gale Aura up for so long, and his Shuttle Loop wouldn't exactly help him out in the open... what he needed was cover, but then again he had to get close to his foes to harm them in the first place.

Sighing, he sat down, waiting for his allies to catch up and see the sword he had planted into the ground next to the trunk of the tree he had climbed. Additionally, he hoped he would not lose his balance and fall as he pulled one leg up, resting his arm on his knee as he put his hand to his chin in his preferred thinking position.

How was he going to do this?

    Clarence felt ill at ease.

What was he even doing here, trying to infiltrate a Moblin camp? He should be back at the academy, preparing for the new year and making sure everything would go right. Instead he had run off south on this mission, under the guise of “a perfect way to train” and “gaining valuable experiences”.

So far, none of that had happened.

He was crouched in a bush, keeping an eye on the entrance of the camp. He was cold, tired, his hair was all tangled, and frankly, he felt utterly miserable. He wanted nothing more than to go home and forget about this ‘adventure’, as he had called it when he explained his departure to his father.

Still, some part of him didn’t allow him to give up as easily as that. Perhaps if he would succeed with this mission, he could prove his worth to his father. That had been the other, untold, reason for him joining the mission. To prove he was more than just a young man with a knack for magic. Should he give up now, he wouldn’t prove anything to anyone, he had to carry on.

When he had arrived at Nabooru, he was told there would be two other people on this mission, a Rito and a fellow Hylian, but Clarence had yet to meet them both. Instead of waiting for the other two, he had gone out to take a look at the camp, and see if he could get any information that would be helpful to their cause. Unfortunately, the only information he found was confirming that the information he already had was correct. The camp was heavily guarded, and impossible to sneak in on your own.

Clarence sighed and prepared to turn back to look for the others.

How is it that I always ends up with near exclusively Moblins to raise? Relerin thinks to himself as he watches the Moblin patrols and studies their patterns. Relerin was once again trapped in a mission he had no idea how he was dragged into.

The day started off normally enough Relerin had just arrived in Nabooru and was going to stop at a cheep Inn for the night before finding the town's graveyard. He heard about a Moblin encampment in the mountains to the south of the town, but thought nothing of it. Until he was somehow volunteered to be one of the people sent to sneak into the camp.

"Yeah. That is going to be an easy task. I'm a necromancer not a soldier. Jacob or mother would be much more suited to this mission. I'm not a fighter. They'll have to kill one first." Relerin mutters to himself still watching the Moblins. Relerin sighs before sitting next to a tree and pulling a book out of his bag and begins reading it waiting for the leader of this little band of "soldiers" to give him orders. "The crazed cultists who follow the demon Rakdos, Lord of Riots, are fervently devoted to mayhem and destruction not caring about personal pain in getting what they want, the freedom to kill and do who/whatever they want..."

Within the camp itself was a myriad of tents of all sorts of sizes. Some looked like simple living quarters, supported by the fact that a moblin would wander in and out of them every now and then. Others were much larger, some of which had a guard or two outside of. In the very center of the camp though was a larger tent a different color from the others. It had skull decorations surrounding the red cloth it was made of, making it look rather important. Two guards were stationed in front of it, two very big and strong looking moblins.

The tents themselves were arranged in a circular formation around the center red tent, with the larger tents on the inside of the circle facing the center, and the smaller living quarter tents on the outside, facing outward. Scattered about were fire pits, all currently unlit but probably places the troops would hang around at night or while on watch.

There was one odd looking part of the camp though off to the side of it. While the tents took up most of the area, there was a bare patch where no grass, plants, or anything grew or was set up, roughly 40 feet in diameter. A cobblestone building was located within this patch that had a simple door, but nothing else. White specks of...something could be seen in it by Ni'Ran, but he was too far away to fully make them out. The ground itself was just dry dirt, torn up quite a bit as if someone has been digging through it.

Due to it being daytime, there was no active patrol going around the camp. The moblins most likely figured that with everyone being awake, the four tower lookouts would be enough to spot trouble and rally everyone in case of trouble. A dozen moblins at the moment simply walked around from tent to tent, as if carrying out duties of some sort. The guards for any of the tents and gates in fact looked rather bored. The gate guards especially looked like they'd rather be sleeping or something, lazily looking around and yawning from time to time. The only alert looking guards were the lookouts in the towers, but probably only for fear of falling asleep and falling out of the tower. Even they only looked out at what was in front of them, not worrying about taking a glance at the gate or what was behind them.
