Going along with what Guy mentioned... somewhere, and with what I originally had in mind, here are some banner ideas for future skins that are based on locations in HC. The first: Death Mountain Invaded ------------------------- A slight modification to fit the other three -------------------------- If you couldn't tell... that is suppose to be the great deku tree. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to make him. -------------------------- Lake Hylia... too empty maybe? -------------------------- So, any thoughts? (I deleted my other topic for those who are wondering.)
I'm really loving the forest one. Even if you couldn't make it look like the Great Deku Tree (even though that would be amazingly awesome), it would still be boss. I agree that the Lake Hylia one is a bit empty--perhaps narrow out the top portion and make it more compact? I realize it then wouldn't fit the exact dimensions of the other banners, but I'm not sure how important that is to you. The Death Mountain banner looks pretty cool as well, but, uh... I'm pretty sure it's specifically a dormant volcano. In all cases, I love the outer border you're using, and the logo design I think couldn't possibly be any better.
Maybe I'll add a hole to the bottom of the tree as an entrance instead. If that doesn't work well, then I'll just take out the attempt at the Great Deku Tree and find another way to make it fit the zelda universe more. Maybe a sage symbol 'burned' into the wood? I really want it to match the other banners size-wise... so I'll brainstorm up some ideas of something to place in the water. Fishing boats? an island? Hrm.... I thought about that... but without the 'lava' it's hard to tell that it's Death Mountain. I was also thinking that it was reacting violently to the presence of Ganon/Evil Army. Really love the forest one, as people have said. In fact, do you have a blank one, without the Great Deku Tree face on it? I might try my hand at making his face, as well, since Spring Break starts this weekend for me.
...amazing. I love it. Also, idea for the Lake Hylia one. In the whole history/location thing, it says that Zora surface sometimes. The island and fishing boat are good, but maybe you could put some Zora in there? Yeah that's about it.
