    Appearance:

Salvador is tall, towering in at 6'9. The male has broad shoulders that are only further accentuated by the cloak the male wears. Underneath the cloak, the males body is coated in a thin, lean muscle. The male was strong, but not so big that it would harm his agility. Raven locks adorn the males head that seem to match his deep blue eyes. The male has a rather uninteresting face, truth be told, simply looking like your run-of-the-mill Hylian. All of these features are hidden beneath a crimson cloak that stops just at the males ankles. The shoulders of the cloak flare out to make the male seem bigger than he is. The wardrobe is finished off with a simple pair of black boots and a haunting mask to conceal the males face.

Personality: The male is cold, so much so that he almost seems disassociated with the rest of the world. Salvador is a loner, an attribute that was done quite intentionally. The male has forgotten about the world and it has in turn made him infamous for his actions, something Salvador loathes. In truth, there are few things the male doesn't loathe. He has one driving purpose, to cure himself of this haunting voice in the back of his head forcing him to commit unspeakable crimes, and nothing will deter him from that path.

Background: Born to a fairly normal, albeit poor, family in the western caves, Salvador had to scrape by from an early age. Nights of hunger, days of thirst, it all began to blend together until the male had lost track of how long exactly he had been hungry. Through this strife, Salvador tried to remain as cheerful as possible. He knew his parents did what they could for him. So in turn, Salvador put up a front like what they did was more than enough when in truth it wasn't. It was the males way of helping his parents. The blur of the males life continued on for several years.

It wasn't until the male hit 15 that his world was turned upside down. On the verge of being a man, the male had many feelings about things, as most teens did. Amplified by the situation of their living the male felt a lot more passionately about his opinions then most. Knowing the pain and strife in his life would only bring him sadness if he focused on it, Salvador chose to stuff the emotions away into a dark corner of his heart where they began to fester. Before his 17th birthday, the feelings had festered into a mass of darkness in the form of a full on mental disorder waiting for its time to strike.

Dissociative identity disorder caused the male to develop a powerful personality deep within Salvador's psyche. The personality was far more dominant and hateful that Salvador's own, but preferred to toy with him. Rather than assume full control, the second personality would take control of his body only at certain moments. All the trouble it caused was minor, missing a shot with his bow here, trip him up there, mostly petty stuff. This second personality, however, absolutely detested Salvador's parents for not doing more and making a better life for all of them. The personality refused to surface around them to form a false sense of security for Salvador.

On the males 18th birthday, Salvador got nothing from his parents save for a "Happy Birthday" due to their poverty. The personality (Who Salvador now called "The Shy Guy") flew into a blind rage and assumed total control of Salvadors body. The only hunting tool in the house, besides Salvador's bow, was a knife Salvador's father carried with him at all times. With all the speed he could muster, The Shy Guy took the knife from the male and plunged it deep into the males neck. With blood splatted all over him, Salvador was given control back of his own body. Quickly, Salvador was nearly deafened by the shrieks of his mother.

Before the male had time to think, Salvador bounded outside of the cave they called home on instinct. He had to get away. Before long, the male had been on his own for two years and wandered into castle town. Carefully hiding his knife on the outskirts of town due to fearing the worst, the male ventured in. Overestimating his own sneakiness, the male was thrown in jail for 10 years on a charge of stealing. His time in jail was uneventful, save for the instructions on how to steal better and be a better all around thief from another inmate. The ten years past sluggishly but was over eventually. After being elated to find his dagger a bit rusted, but otherwise fine. The male put his new skills to use to earn some money.

After having a blacksmith repair the blade and purchasing some equipment, the male set out. It had been nearly a decade since the male heard from The Shy Guy. Salvador could still feel him there, but he had not felt the need to make himself known for a long time. Salvador was curious why, but set out to find some sort of treatment for the disease none the less. Swearing upon the knife that had killed his father, the male covered himself with a crimson cloak and mask he had purchased so that any who saw him might not connect him to the murders in the western caves. Taking up the alias "The Shy Guy" was symbolic to him. It meant he understood this personality was another part of him. A part that would be gotten rid of once a cure was found.

I'm not sure what's more peculiar about this character: what he's based on, the fact his initials spell out "SHY," how he has a split personality, or how every other sentence refers to him as, "the male." (It was a good read, still.)

    Accepted.
