I've spoken to a few mods, and their responses implied that I could use the Treasure Creation subforum to make additions to existing treasures. So, here's one of the two latest in my mini-series of Music Treasures: Name: N/A, as this is an upgrade to an existing Treasure. P/W/C Type: Courage Appearance: N/A. Description of Function: Allows Music Specialists to use the Song of Healing as a method of healing the minor injuries of their allies. This cannot heal broken bones or internal bleeding, but can fix bruises, sprained ankles, and bleeding cuts. Limitations: Requires the Song of Healing and a Specialty [Music]. Can only be used once a day or RP, depending on what the mods decide is better for balancing. Description Suggestion (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Description Suggestion (open) Description Suggestion (close) [Song of Healing here] If the user has Specialty [Music]: The user can use the song once a day to heal minor injuries, such as bruises and cuts, of their living allies.
I'm not sure; do you want to make this an edit into the original treasure (if you have speciality it does this) or an additional treasure with a prereq? I'm posting that in both threads not because I have amnesia, but to keep what applies where it applies to.
It's an edit into the original treasure, much like the 'if the fire spell, din's burst spell, or fire rod is held by the user' part of the Cane of Somaria (I think).
So I know we talked about this previously, but after further talking with the staff my opinion on this has kind of changed. In the canon the Song of Healing is really only a spiritual healing of sort, and changing that would undermine the canon of MM (for example it didn't help Darmani and Mikau in any physical sense). Unless you wanted to change this to more specifically heal a spiritual aspect, I think making a new healing song for the physical would be for the best.
