Despite the snow on Lon Lon Ranch, a bush still stood strong. …and it was moving. Very slowly, admittedly, but it was moving. Towards an opening in the corral’s fence… the only ones there to see it were the cows and horses standing outside, though. Some of them stood at the fence, just looking at it- however, even as the bush crept through the hole in the fence, none of them tried to take a bit out of it. Once inside, the bush folded inwards and turned back into a bud, after which Roky got up.

It was hard to say when the Kikwi was taller- with his bush out on all fours or on his hind
legs. He wasn’t very tall either way. The cattle knew him well, as he had lived on the ranch for several years now, and when he started climbing up the leg of one horse, climbing up to its neck in hopes of using its long mane as a blanket of sorts, the animal didn’t protest in the least.

It was so very cold here. The ranch owner and his daughter stayed inside for the most part unless there was work to be done, as opposed to the girl spending all day with the horses. They didn’t neglect their cattle, but Roky often caught them messing up on little things that he then corrected. He supposed the cold was getting to them, too.

However, he knew that there were a few cows and horses inside the stables… cows with sour milk and horses that had lost all sociability… he had a suspicion why that was, but he didn’t dare come into the pen at night and confirm.

That would just be too scary. What if it saw him?

    BAM, BAM, BAM!

A thunderous pounding on the gates of the ranch. "Hello?! Anyone there?!" A pause. "Please! I need shelter 'till the blizzard is over!" Callad shivered as he raised his left arm to the door again. It would have shocked him that no moblin-related derogatory terms entered his mind, had he cared to realize.

He was freezing, despite his heavy cloak, and had run out of food a couple of days previous. And he couldn't hunt in weather this bad.

"HELP!" he shouted again, smashing his good fist into the gate hard enough that he could've sworn his hand got bruised.

The wind screamed as the snow burned his feet, even the light seemed to assault his eyes as Kalik pressed on. Following patterns in the howling wind that lead him in this direction, his destination unknown and distance great, he assumed. He dared not fly, having tried in such winds would only push him backwards or crash. Even as the cold singed his skin, he pressed on, knowing the weather and his current attire could leave his dead within the hour. He didn't even dare change the wind to blow at his back, for fear of losing his path, all he could do is walk forward; as though he were walking to his own demise.

Finally, he saw a glint up ahead, unsure as to whether it was a trick of the snow, his mind, or the off chance it was real, he picked up the pace hoping that this was his mission, his target. And it was. He saw the outline of house up ahead, no a ranch. There was no light from inside, perhaps he was too late?

Eventually he saw a single individual pounding on the door, and stopped where he was, merely moving his feet beside each other as he watched the lone man yelling something smothered by the wind at the door and presumably those behind it. Flicking three needles into his hand, he waited, knowing that a even glance back would reveal him; a dark figure standing motionless in dire cold and high winds, a banshee as the wind howled and screeched around him.

Plum was not in a good mood. Not only the owner of the ranch hadn't paid off his debts for three months, he also seemed to have hidden himself in his own home. That was also the reason Plum was now on the roof of the ranch, looking for a window or a chimney to get in. He would get his money back today, even if he had to kill the man for it. At least that would teach him to pay his debts.
Finally he clambered on top of the roof and found a chimney. He stuck his head inside and sniffed, checking if there was a fire burning inside. After he deemed it safe, the kikwi dropped himself in, flexing his muscles and preparing himself to show the man who was boss.

The wind howled around the barn. Nefertete had settled herself on a bale of hay and made a small fire from some old wood she found in the corner. The owner seemed to be asleep, as when she knocked on the door noone answered. She then walked into the barn, trying to find shelter from the harsh winds. She would tell the owner the next morning, hoping he didn't mind her sleeping in the barn for the night.
Northern Hyrule was so different from the desert, not only the cold, but the whole landscape with the trees and endless grasslands were completely new to her. The snow had caught her by surprise, and she had spent the biggest part of the day trying to find warmer clothes. Her shawl definately wasn't enough to keep her warm.

((Sorry for the delay, it took a while to read all the character sheets and posts))

The small Kokiri continued to stalk around the ranch due to it being way too cold for him to travel out in the blizzard. Normally the residents of this ranch would welcome him in with open arms, but he has shamed the chef of the ranch and has been banished. There is no telling what they would do if they heard him. He figured he would just get a nap with the animals, the ranchers haven't been coming outside nearly as often due to the blizzard.

He refused to help the chef bake a cake, he felt that was beneath them. He has always felt bigger than he actually was, always seeing himself as a dangerous mercenary. He noticed a few suspicious fellows stalking around the ranch, more than usual. He decided to sit back and observe them, if they seem hostile he would snipe them with a quick arrow.

Roky heard a lot of noise from the gate. People? Right now? He shivered under the manes of the horse. They were probably either very brave, very foolish, or very much in need of something. Or maybe a combination of the three, the Kikwi thought. He faintly heard the ranch owner's voice as he left the house to answer the gate, while his daughter left with him but turned the other way to tend to some animals. Roky didn't think she'd be coming this way, but even if she were--

A massive explosion to the back of the corral caused the Kikwi to yelp and jump, falling off the neighing and fleeing horse and falling flat on his face. He was too slow to turn on his back and pop out his plant. "Koo-kwee..." he muttered, rubbing his painful forehead, only now seeing the rancher's daughter coming his way.

She had a bow over one shoulder and a quiver over the other, and Roky did in fact know her to be a talented archer, even from horseback. What scared him was the pitchfork in her hands, though. She spotted him and knelt to pet him on the head. "Oh, a Kikwi! Are you okay, little one?"

In the meanwhile, the ranch owner turned around in shock after opening the gate to his visitors. He, too, had heard the explosion, and he knew it was close to where his little girl and his cattle were. "Hurry 'n get in," he said, "All of ya. Gotta close up 'n see wha's goin' on."

    NPCs (open)
    Tarion, the ranch owner:
2/3/2 Hylian, no equipment, no treasures.
The owner of the Lon Lon Ranch. Has recently had some issues with his cattle going berserk and has run himself into debt for that reason.

    Marion, the ranch girl:
2/3/2 Hylian, Bow/Arrow and Pitchfork, Spark spell.
Tarion's daughter. She works on the ranch, but has a knack for archery and knows alternative ways to using a pitchfork other than cleaning stables. Has a soft spot for cute things and horses.

Tarion probably won't be too important past the introductory rounds, but Marion will join us.

"Oh, thank you! Praise the Goddesses you heard me," Callad said hoarsely. His voice was a little sore from all his yelling. "I can help around for a while, if you wouldn't mind." He held out his hand, and in a somewhat stronger voice introduced himself as, "Sir Callad Bolge, Knight Errant and Scout of the first Legion."

He put his left hand on his sword, turning to the smoking stable.

Kalik had stood motionless for several seconds, the cold piercing his clothes and into his flesh more now than when he was walking. Still he would do what he had to, and right now that was here with an unknown objective. The sudden explosion immediately drew his attention to the burning corral, the heat and force of the explosion took with it the cold from his body, if only for an instant and knocked him a step back. For the first time, he knew he was in the right place.

Moving forward, not stealthy, but eerily quiet in the howling winds, he reached the door and the heat emanating from it, making his utmost desire to go inside. Hearing the end of the man's introduction, he spoke clearly but stuttered slightly from the wind "Kalik, Ch-Chosen of Valoo".

Nefertete thought she heard someone by the gate. She got up from her spot, wrapped her shawl a little closer around her and started to towards the sound. As she came closer, she saw a small group of people huddled together. Two Hylians and Rito.

"Oh, hello. I didn't know anyone'd be up at this hour." She said with mild surprise.

    ---

The room in which Plum had dropped himself was dark, cold and almost empty. Apperantly it wasn't used often. He walked around the small room a little, checking for any valuables but finding only dust.
The only door in the room was unlocked, leading to a dark hallway. It was, save for the wind howling around the house, eerily quiet. Maybe the ranchowner had fled the place, knowing someone would come to collect his debts.
Plum didn't care. He'd take whatever valuables he could find and take some more to make up for his troubles coming here.

Rudolf almost gutted the Rito when he saw it but restrained himself because it didn't seem dangerous. Rudolf approached everyone slowly and questioned them on where they were. "What's with the party guys?" Rudolf began to shiver a bit waiting for an answer.

((Sorry for the crap post but it is hard to follow the actions.))
