Sirron crept along an old log in secrecy, his bow out and at the ready with an arrow set. There was a set of three guards that was taken captive by moblins, as well as a merchant's daughter. Apparently another guard squad was sent ahead, but Sirron knew better than to trust local guards against moblins.

This heavily forested area was more home to him than most, so he knew how to move and the general idea on hiding. Jumping down off the log, Sirron sprinted forward, through a small cave, but plenty spacious enough for the kikwi.

He was in the dark for all of thirty seconds before he emerged on a small cliff, overlooking a section of marsh. The fighter surveyed the area for enemies, spotting five. Three bokoblins, one with a bow high in a tree, and two moblins. Seemed easy enough.

From the look of it, the moblins were talking in whatever foul tongue they used. The archer bokoblin, though, had a full vantage on the situation, same as Sirron. He would have to go first. The kikwi readied his arrow, steadying his shot.

When he released, the shot flew true. Soundlessly, the arrow stuck the bokoblin's chest, making it fall back, but it still stayed in the tree. One down.

Sirron watched the patterns in the other bokoblins' movements carefully, which was actually difficult. Despite the fact that they were morons, their low focus made them commonly deviate from their patterns.

Eventually he saw one of them go under a nearly fallen tree. It was being held up by a vine that tethered it to another tree. That vine was the next spot to hit, and when it was, the tree fell with a series of loud snaps, landing securely on the bokoblin.

Sirron knew this would attract attention, so he prepared a bomb arrow, strapping the explosive to his arrow and pointing it towards the group of two moblins and a bokoblin who neared the fallen tree.

The only remaining bokoblin pulled his comrade from under the tree, and the two moblins grouped around as well. Now. The arrow was launched directly at the downed Bokobln in the middle of the group, instantly killing the two bokoblins if the tree hadn't killed the first, and badly hurting both moblins.

Sirron knew that once an obvious attack, such as a bomb arrow, was made, he didn't have a lot of time until others were alerted, so he fired a blatant arrow, hitting the eye of one moblin and killing it, revealing exactly where Sirron was.

A moblin vs a kikwi? An easy battle to be sure. That was the mentality Sirron wanted his enemy to have, making it confident that it could win without others. To capitalize, he started jumping off the cliff, using plummeting blade to land the fall with a knife.

As he heard the clambering steps of the moblin approaching, Sirron used his plant to hide himself until he felt a foot land right next to him. In a great like this, a kikwi became impossible to detect. A split second later, Sirron exploded up, slashing horizontally at the pig's Achilles tendon. As knife ripped through flesh, the Moblin started to squeal and fell to it's knees, but was silenced with a helm splitter, Sirron leaping up and flipping, planting a knife in it's eye.

This silenced the creature, and as it fell, Sirron pulled his knife from the Moblin's eye, cleaning it and putting it away. Still no sign of the guards...

Now with the first clearing emptied, Sirron checked all the bodies for anything of use, retrieving all his arrows that weren’t consumed by the explosion. It was an issue that these enemies here were so casual… usually stealth wasn’t something Hylian guards practiced, so their attack was likely head on. Unless this was a new patrol… either way, things weren’t looking good for the guards. Sirron got all his stuff and continued on quickly.

Along the way, he had to run along a cliffside, the rocky ground making it out of place for there to be a plant just sitting there. If anyone came, he’d have to rely on his own skill. Looking ahead, he saw just what he didn’t want. A three-bokoblin patrol. That was easy though. But when he looked past the group, he saw three guards fighting on a higher elevation. The stone pillar they were on connected them to the normal path as it looped around, and they were locked in combat with two moblins and a bokoblin.

One of the guards was then shot by the bokoblin and fell off the overpass onto the group of three bokoblins below. The creatures then began to viciously pummel the poor girl as her comrades retreated out of Sirron’s sight, the moblins and bokoblin on the overpass following. Sirron quickly pulled out his bow, shooting the three bokoblins before they could do too much damage. It may have been too late though, so with the enemies dead, Sirron approached her. She was bleeding badly from her body and face, and the Kikwi didn’t have any medical equipment.

“Status update.” He demanded. The woman looked at him dazedly, before tilting her head back to looking forward, up to the sky.

“We went… in to try to get… the others… but there are… so many moblins… There’s a ruined village in… the north just…. Up that path a ways…. H-help… my squad…” Sirron then heard all he needed to and left the woman to bleed out peacefully. “W-wait… you… can’t help me?”

“No. The most I could do is this.” He said, holding up a knife.

The girl thought for a moment, her body flaming in pain. “….Y-yes… do it.” Sirron nodded, quickly and lethally plunging his blade into her throat, making sure she felt no pain. Cleaning off his blade, Sirron started running up the path, hopefully able to save the other guards.

Sirron ran up the ramp that sloped upward and spiraled back around, leading him to the pillar he'd seen the guard fall from just prior. Unfortunately, it took him longer to make it there than he'd hoped, so he ran across the bridge unsure of where to go next, though as the hill sloped back down, he saw a large river. He'd come to a small set of fishing houses on the water, hearing combat among them.

The kikwi dashed forward, drawing his knives for melee combat and entering the building that was the source of the noises. Upon entering, he saw the last remaining guard of the two he'd seen before get thrown against the wall by the last remaining moblin. Surveying the room quickly, Sirron saw two dead moblins and four bokoblins laying with their brethren. They all seemed to have been killed by blast damage too.

Sirron ran forward quietly, performing a helm splitter before the moblin could kill the hylian. He landed on it's back, making the moblin jump back in surprise, swinging it's arms wildly to try to hit the tiny assailant. Sirron plunged a blade into the Moblin's throat, which made a massive shriek of pain, but shockingly, this didn't stop it. The moblin rammed back against the wall, hoping to crush Sirron, but the kikwi dove over it's shoulder, seizing the knife in it's throat and yanking it out as he went towards the ground.

He landed in a roll, immediately turning and rolling to avoid a stomp from the moblin. Now with a much better foothold, he yet again did helm splitter to get the height needed, but partway through, stopped his attack and replaced it with plummeting blade. Steel met flesh, then skull, then brain. As the moblin fell, Sirron yet again dragged his blade roughly from the head, cleaning it off. "You stay here. I'll take the rest." He told the guard, a younger looking man, probably in his late teens. A green soldier sent for a job like this... How foolish...

"N-no! I came on this mission to save the others and that's what I'll do!" He snapped back. Green AND arrogant.

"You've proven your ineptness already, the most use I'd have for you is as a distraction, and you'd surely die in that role."

"I don't care. I'll do it." Green and arrogant.... Yet entirely self sacrificial... Hm.

"Then I am Sirron Waltex'ran. On this, the day you will die, how do you feel?"

The guard smirked. "Fucking fantastic. Guardsman Tyler Morra."

Sirron first started by going over all his capabilities with Tyler, demanding the same of the guard. Apparently he had bombs, as evidenced by the explosive damage on the enemies when he entered.

Sirron was sitting on the leg of one of the Bokoblins, and Tyler on the chest of one of the moblins. Apparently they made excellent cushions. Before long, a roar echoed through the forest. It wasn't small either. It seemed far off, but the loudness of it made that very worrisome. "Stay here. I'll look." Sirron said to Tyler, hopping next to the window and looking outside at the river.

Before long, a massive serpentine beast slithered and swept up the river, looking to be well over eighty feet long. It had sharp, jagged scales jutting out an the whole thing had an emerald green colour to it. Sirron never knew such powerful creatures could exist in these forests...

After a few more moments of looking around, it let out a deafening roar, then dove back down into the depths below. The kikwi could only imagine how deep the river really went. He waited for a moment to see if it would resurface, then turned to Tyler. "We won't be doing any swimming, it looks like."

The guard looked at Sirron confusedly. "W-what was it?"

"A serpent of some kind. Massive though. If we're lucky, we won't have to see it again... if not..."

    "We run?"

"No. We fight it. I don't run from fights." Sirron the. Looked up the road, seeing a small assortment of houses and such on the river as well. "Is that where they're being held?"

Tyler nodded. "Just up the river there? Yeah. Kayla scouted it out before, but..."

"Where did she scout from? If she could be somewhere undetected to scout, I can be there to shoot."

"She said a small cliff overlooking the village. Maybe forty feet up?"

Sirron nodded. "Perfect. What's the estimated enemy count?"

"Uhhh... From what she could see she said about ten bokoblins and five moblins. The bokos are all archers. She also said they're hoarding Powder kegs in one of the buildings... I don't know why though."

Sirron walked over to the dead guard, picking up his shield and tossing it to Tyler. "I hope you're good with these, each one is going to get one shot on you, then die. Let's move."

Sirron went far around the small assortment of buildings, making sure he wasn't detected as he went towards the cliff Tyler mentioned. As he reached it, he saw a bokoblin archer up there sleeping. Apparently they'd noticed the cliff too now. Too bad they didn't put someone up there who's competent. One easy slit throat later and Sirron was perched upon the ledge, starting to look down over the village.

He saw two moblins pushing powder kegs into one of the buildings, and from here he could see just how many they had. It was a decent sized house, packed full of them. Rather close to castle town too... Part of Sirron's mind told him one well placed arrow would destroy them all, but he couldn't do that until the prisoners were all free, lest the explosion or debris kill them.

He saw Tyler move into position, and with the glint from one of his arrowheads to signal him, he started his part of the job, shield in one hand, sword in the other. He crept forward, flashing light from the sky above into the eyes of one bokoblin, marking him. By the time Sirron had fired his arrow, blasting into the ear of the creature, it had shot as well, the arrow flying at Tyler who blocked it with a satisfying clang.

Motion. All he needed was motion to find them... "There..." He muttered, drawing back another arrow. The clang had drawn in two more bokoblins, who moved on their rooftop, giving away their position. One was shot before he could even draw back a bowstring, and the other one just before his second shot, the arrow embedding itself in his ribs and making the arrow shoot far wide.

So far Tyler had been doing decently, and he moved quietly through village, blocking arrows and hearing the soft grunts from dying bokoblins. Eventually he counted seven dead, excluding the one Sirron originally killed on the cliff.

Tyler looked into one of the houses, quickly pulling out a bomb, holding it while the fuse ran. At the last second he chucked it inside, then peered in to count his kills. The signal... Please say he remembered it...

His right hand was raised with two fingers up. Right hand meant moblins. Good. Those were the biggest threat. Unfortunately, this got the attention of the rest of the place, with the remaining three moblins going towards Tyler, who took shelter in the house he'd just bombed. "Tch! Idiot!" Sirron mumbled. If he didn't have eyes on the building, he couldn't save him. Sirron quickly jumped from the cliff, using his same plummeting blade trick as before. Now in the village personally, Sirron knew the fight was going to be tougher. He should still be okay, as long as Tyler didn't ruin everything and it all goes according to plan.
