    Place of Origin: Eastern Sea.
    PWC: 4/4/1.

    Skills, Spells, and Abilities
    Racials
    - Aquatic Affinity: Sigmund is far more at home in the water than he is on the ground, as well as a natural at any techniques or spells requiring or involving water.
    - Amphibious: Although he was severely wounded, Sigmund’s underwater-breathing apparatus remains undamaged. He can breathe underwater just as easily as on land.
    - Fire Weakness: As a Sea Zora, Sigmund is extremely vulnerable to extreme temperatures. Notably, weaponised fire and extreme heat affect him severely.
    - Electric Aura: Sigmund can circulate electricity around him, creating a current that shocks anything around him for a few seconds.
    - Boomerang Fins: Like many of his kind, Sigmund can extend the fins on his forearms and detach them, launching them off.

    Magic
    - Aqua Grenade: Using his affinity for water, Sigmund creates a small ball of water that tends to explode on impact.
    - Peril Beam: When his injuries threaten to incapacitate him, Sigmund becomes able to launch a beam of pure energy from his halberd or his fins.

    Inventory
    Weapons
    - Halberd: One of the only things Sigmund has kept from his past is his unusual, ornate halberd. The handle and blade appear to be made of some sort of mineral, while it is decorated lavishly with coral and shells. Most notable is the crested shell where the blade is attached to the handle. Despite its decorative appearance, it is actually very usable in combat.

    Armour
    - Broken Armour: Sigmund washed ashore in a suit of armor that has been ravaged beyond use. In it, one can recognize a chestplate, pauldrons, tassets, greaves, and gauntlets, all forged to fit Sigmund’s contours and from a light, greenish grey metal that does not seem to rust in water. The chestplate shows the Zora symbol in a lighter shade of the armor color. It is presently unusable.

    Miscellaneous
    - Bottle containing Blue Fire: A small flame that Sigmund supposedly used to light his way when swimming at dark depths.
    - Green Potion: a concoction that helps alleviate Sigmund’s exhaustion temporarily and lets him move about for a bit longer than he normally would.

    Roleplaying Information
    Residence:
Helena and Marci, two healers, allow Sigmund to stay over at their clinic in Port Mido. Sigmund occupies the guest room so as not to interfere with any patients having to stay the night, and in exchange for his residing there he helps out around the house.
    Companions:
    - Rufus (pet): Helena and Marci have a large, hairy, black dog by the name of Rufus. He and Sigmund don’t always get along, even though Sigmund is often the one who has to walk him. It’s the perfect excuse to get some exercise, after all.
    Aquaintances:
    - Helena (NPC): Helena is one of the two healers that took Sigmund in and saved his life when he washed ashore. She's the more theoretically inclined of the two, priding herself on a near-perfect record of diagnosing illnesses and injuries, but lacks skill in actually treating them.
    - Marci (NPC): Helena's younger sister and the other healer. Marci doesn't share Helena's ability to recognize illnesses and injuries, but once she knows what's wrong with a patient she knows exactly what to do to heal them. Compared to Helena she's a little more feisty and willing to get her hands dirty.

    Personal Information
    Height: 5’7”.
    Appearance:
Even if he had not recalled that he was a warrior, Sigmund’s appearance would have made it an easy occupation to guess. The Sea Zora is built very toughly, with broad shoulders and well-defined and even better-developed muscles. His front side is white from his knees to his cheeks, while the rest of his skin has a blueish grey tint to it. His skin is covered in a waterproof film that is invisible to the eye, but makes him shimmer when even the slightest bit moist. This film is torn in several places, although it has started to reconnect itself. Under the tears, both open and closed up, Sigmund shows scarring.

The back of Sigmund’s head extends into a fish tail, which when left alone reaches his waist. On the front of his head, two appendages sprout that fall down the side of his face, resembling either floppy ears or bangs of hair. Both these appendages and his fish tail are the same grey tint as the rest of his skin, save the very tips, which gradually whiten. He sports green, round eyes, and very large forefins, extending from his elbows.

While he was found in a full suit of lightweight armor, Sigmund presently helps himself to less metallic clothing. He swims naked, but when not submerged in water the Zora dresses in a dark, purple-brown cotton long tunic, reaching halfway down his upper legs, and brown pants. He has a black cloak for colder days, although he always goes barefoot, his webbed feet being too wide for most shoes.

    Personality:
Being unable to remember how and why he was near-dead on the beach, has shaken Sigmund visibly. He’s very frustrated that he can’t recall what happened to him, and often just stares at his broken armor, his halberd, or the horizon, over the sea, trying to clear his mind in hopes that something will come back to him. Normally he would take his frustration out by fighting monsters, but his body is in bad shape.

Sigmund enjoys every form of physical exercise he can get, so whenever he can slip away from Marci and Helena’s hawk-like eyes, he does so, even if it means he has to run errands, such as shopping or walking Rufus. That which gets to him the most is when his painkillers lose their effectiveness while he’s outside the clinic, because when that happens he is overcome by excruciating pain, reminding him of his weakness and of that which he cannot remember.

Sigmund is prideful and impatient, unwilling to sit still or stay in bed while the herbalists care for his wounds, and wants nothing more than to get his armor fixed and get back to the Shrine of Melusine, but he feels that everyone around him is making it impossible for him, more concerned with his wounds than with the warriors that were potentially lost in the same disaster that almost killed him.

    Story
    Backstory:
Sigmund was hatched the eldest of three brothers, each born warriors. Their parents were members of a sub-tribe of Sea Zoras worshipping the Serpent of the Deep, more simply known as Melusine, so it was a given that Sigmund, Balthasar, and Warren would worship him, too. Pictured as a large, blueish creature similar to the Deep Pythons that formed one of the tribe’s most numerous predators, Melusine was worshipped in a shrine known simply as Melusine’s Shrine, some fifty miles off the southwestern coast of Windfall Island at the bottom of the Eastern Sea.

Melusine’s Shrine was to be guarded at all times by at least one squad of five guards and their commander. Sigmund’s father was one of the men in charge of training these guards, while his mother commanded one of the then-active squads. It was only logical that the three brothers would choose a similar or equal path on life, all three being trained by their father from an early age and enrolling in the official training program once they were old enough.

Sigmund didn’t so much join the program because he was so faithful to Melusine. In fact, he was never truly certain the Serpent of the Deep existed, as it never showed itself and Sigmund wanted to see it before he would believe its existence. He always kept this quiet, however, not wanting the rage and disappointment of his family. The reason he signed up as a guard rather than a hunter was that the training for a guard was more focused on actual combat, one of his favorite activities and means of physical exercise.

Faith did not factor into the training, however, and Sigmund passed the examinations as top of the class. This made him commander of his squad, putting him in charge of his brothers and three others, the names of which he can’t recall. He served peacefully for several years, without incident. However, very recently, disaster struck.

He cannot recall what that disaster was, though. The next thing he remembers is waking up in a bed above the surface, to the sound of two voices muttering amongst themselves. As he sat up, he was immediately assaulted by a Hylian woman, with long blonde hair and blue eyes, who insisted that he lay back down and not put any strain on his injuries. As she struck back the blankets that he was under, he saw that he was covered in deep, severe wounds from head to toe.

The woman, whom he learned to be named Helena, told him that she and her sister, Marci, had found him washed up on the shore near Port Mido, where he was at present. He’d been terribly injured, more dead than alive, but fortunately the two sisters were both talented healers and herbalists whose expertise was often requested by sailors, and they had managed to bring him back from the brink of death. He was not healthy enough to move around though, and- he had to lay back down immediately.

Sigmund had gotten up from his bed, his body screaming out in suppressed pain. He recalled his name, his family, his chosen station in life, and vaguely, a female Zora, but that was all. He had no idea where these wounds came from, which was a frightening thought, but he could only be grateful that he had been found by two healers and that he was still alive.

Over the course of that day, Marci applied several herbal pastes to his wounds that were supposed to keep the pain at bay, and he learned more. He had washed ashore in his armor, which Helena had put up on a mannequin in the corner of the room. Even from looking at it from a great distance, Sigmund could tell it was wrecked- a good blacksmith might be able to fix it, but it was useless in its current state. He recognized the armor, though, which was more than he could say about the halberd that he had been clutching even in unconsciousness. It appeared familiar to him… but no matter how he pained himself he could not remember where he had gotten it.

Now, a few days later, Sigmund is convinced the worst of his wounds have been healed and that he can return to his training. Helena and Marci have their hands full trying to get him to stay put, and eventually have just put him to work walking Rufus and getting groceries, all the while tending to him whenever they can and keeping him provided with herbs, potions, and pastes that will keep his pain at bay.
