    Name: Relerin Ba'al

    Age: 21

    Gender: Male

    Race: Northern Hylian

    Occupation: Investigator and scholar

Alignment: Relerin is generally Neutral Good

    Rupees: 5 (100 + 40 MP - 35 SB - 15 SBA - 35 MP1 - 50 SS = 5)

Place of Origin: Hyrule Castle Town

    PWC: 2/4/2

    Racial Abilities (open)
Magic Proficiency -- an unusual treasure, in that it can only be obtained by characters of the Hylian, Sea Zora, Wizzrobe or Great Fairy race, and can only be obtained as one of the character's racial perks. When so obtained, the gaining character gains an additional 40 rupees to spend at character creation. These additional rupees can only be used to acquire Wisdom-based treasures. Any of these rupees that are not spent are forever lost. A character of another race can never obtain this treasure, even if such a character somehow later becomes a member of the Hylian, Sea Zora, Wizzrobe or Great Fairy race.

Rupee Riches -- a utility trait, and a universal racial perk. As such, any character can choose to gain it as a perk upon character creation. No character may acquire this treasure after character creation. The first time the user completes a dungeon, quest, or area battle, he or she will earn a one-time bonus of 30 rupees.

Sense -- a defensive trait which is always active, like a sixth sense. Those with this ability can automatically detect the presence of and vague location of other living creatures purely by instinct, particularly those who are dangerous or intent on doing the user harm. The range of this sense is roughly 5 meters (or 15 feet), and penetrates all forms of barriers, even those which deflect magic.

    Treasures (open)
Shadow Ball -- an offensive spell. To cast Shadow Ball, the caster swings or thrusts forward a weapon or other instrument, and unleashed from its tip is a small and compact orb of darkness comparable in size to a Hylian's head, which shoots forward with velocity comparable to a fastball and force comparable to a strong punch. This ball of power stuns its target for a moment on impact before dissipating, during that moment filling them with overwhelming terror and despair, as well as inflicting physical damage from the impact. The projectile can reach up to approximately thirty feet, before dissipating. Normally, the caster can cast Shadow Ball once every 90 seconds. With one level of Magic Power, the caster can do so every 30 seconds. With two levels, it can be done every 10 seconds.

Shadow Ball No Instrument Required Augment -- A user with this augment gains two benefits. First, the user may choose to launch the projectile from their hand or mouth, rather than from a weapon or instrument. Second, the time restrictions on casting Shadow Ball may be reduced, as if the user had one more level in Magic Power. If the user already has two levels in Magic Power, the time restriction remains the same.

Magic Power Lv 1 -- a utility trait, which focuses on increasing one's ability to cast offensive spells. Many offensive spells have time limitations on how often they can be used. Normally, this limitation is that the spell can only be cast once within a given time frame. Shadow Ball, for example, can normally only be cast once every 90 seconds. Obtaining Magic Power once would reduce this time to one-third the normal, down to 30 seconds. Obtaining Magic Power again further reduces this recharge time down to one-third again (or one-ninth of the original time), down to 10 seconds. Magic Power can only be obtained twice. Every time you gain Magic Power, you are said to gain a "level" of Magic Power. If you wear heavy armor of metal below your neck, any levels you have in Magic Power count for nothing. As such, most combative spellcasters resort to wearing leather or robes. Other effects which increase your effective Magic Power, however, such as spell augments, affect your recharge time as normal.

Summon Stal -- a common summoning spell. This spell can be cast by concentrating for about one second. Upon casting, up to two Stalchildren appear within arm's reach of the caster. Each Stalchild will fulfill all of the caster's commands to the best of its ability. Each one is nearly mindless, and can only be extremely simple commands, typically no more than a word in length. For example, "attack" and "scout" are understood commands, but "set a trap" or "solve puzzle" are not. As with most Stalchildren, these creatures are each a skeleton about the size of a Kokiri, move somewhat slowly, and are fragile. An average-strength adult could usually fell a Stalchild with one well-placed blow. Each Stalchild will persist until it dies, or the caster dismisses it, at which point it will immediately vanish. Being undead, Stalchildren can persist in virtually any environment with no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. Once a Stalchild vanishes for any reason other than dismissal, the caster cannot summon another one to replace its specific spot for at least 1 minute. This does not prevent the caster from summoning more Stalchildren if he would otherwise be able, nor does it prevent him in any way from summoning creatures which are not Stalchildren. A caster always has at least one summon level. The number of summon levels he has represents how many summoned creatures he can simultaneously maintain. Two summoned Stalchildren occupy one summon level, until they die or are dismissed. In this way, the two Stalchildren "fill" one of his summon levels. (Meanwhile, one Stalchild would only fill half a summon level.) While his summon levels are completely filled in this way, he cannot summon any more creatures. It is possible to gain more summon levels through the Summon Power treasure, to a maximum of three levels. With three summon levels (or two instances of Summon Power), up to six Stalchildren could be summoned at once.

    Major Treasures (open)
    None

    Height: 5' 7"

    Weight: 182 lbs.

    Equipment:

--Weapon(s): Relerin main ‘weapon’ is a wooden staff that looks like a wingless Staff of Hermes that is about six foot tall. The staff is a cylindrical solid oak core with two skeletal serpents spiraling up around the core. At the top of the staff the two serpents meet with both mouths open framing an emerald cut gemstone of a deep purple color measuring four inches tall by two and a half inches wide by one and a half inches thick. The bottom of the staff is a single point that Relerin uses to draw diagrams and other such things in the dirt when unable to record notes on paper. Relerin also keeps a steel dagger as a backup although he is loath to use it. The dagger’s blade is silver and double edged with an etched skeletal serpent through the center of it measuring one foot long and two and a half inches wide. Below the blade is a crossguard of black colored metal in the shape of closed skeletal serpent heads then a grip fitting specifically to Relerin’s hand. The dagger has a sheath made of wood that is colored purple with gold images of the same serpent spiraling around it.

--Armor: The only form of armor that Relerin wears is a stiffened and padded leather vest under his robes as he prefers not to get into any close range engagements and heavier armor would hamper his spell casting abilities.

--Clothing: Most of the time Relerin wears surprisingly elaborate black and purple robes that have the image of the same skeletal serpents from his staff and dagger in gold color coiling up the sides ending with open mouths on Relerin's chest. In between the serpents’ mouths is a latch that shares the jewel also found in the staff that holds the robes closed. Under these robes Relerin wears simple shirts and pants usually of a creme colored fabric and no specific markings and a belt which the dagger sheath attaches to. For footwear Relerin wears a pair of black boots that also feature buckles of the kind as the robe.

--Misc: Relerin regularly carries a moderately large bag with him as he travels. A simple brown backpack type bag with many pockets and loops for a bedroll and a lantern. Inside Relerin stores various things he needs in his travels including books of notes, pens, ink vials, rations, an herbalism kit, blankets, spare clothes, a key to his house, a pan, a small woodcutting hatchet, and other wilderness survival needs. Always either being held by Relerin or attached to the bag is Lelith’s lantern. A small glass and metal frame with the same serpent design coiling around and up to a single metal rod used as a handle. Inside Lelith’s ‘soul’ gives off a reddish purple light that brightens or dims depending on Lelith’s mood and the ambient light level.

Appearance: Relerin is somewhat well built and about as strong as a normal Hylian his age. His skin is surprisingly pale white considering the length and frequency of his travels and atop his head is orange/brown hair that Relerin keeps relatively short. The hair is more orange at the roots and darkens to the brown towards the ends. Relerin has no facial hair to speak of. Like all Hylians, Relerin has pointed ears, but Relerin's are even more so, sticking out about an inch behind his head and ending in an extremely fine point. Looking at him from a distance would make one think he has complete heterochromia iridum, or two completely different colored eyes. This is not entirely true as Relerin has brown eyes naturally however his right iris is dominated by a purple runic pentagram. The pentagram is not discernable unless one is close to Relerin’s face, but even then any meaning in the runes is completely lost on almost everyone. The pentagram has no negative effects on Relerin’s eyesight and does not make any sort of light or other abnormal phenomena.

Personality: Relerin is very polite and proper to those he talks to though he is rather introverted meaning he will often not say much, if anything, unless completely necessary and prefers for his actions to speak for him. Along with this it is often hard to tell how Relerin is feeling aside from some stronger bursts of emotion he has occasionally. He generally has a positive outward outlook causing him to be trusting of others to a degree he has been taken advantage of before. Not usually quick to anger, Relerin does have certain things that will quickly anger him such as people drawing unneeded attention to his eye after being told to cease, people that make a habit of harassing others for fun, and especially anyone trying to steal from himself or others. In more stressful situations despite how calm he is on the inside Relerin does not often show any panic in his expression and will try to solve the situation to the best of his ability. Due to both his introvertedness and a bit of stubbornness Relerin is slow to ask others for help if he believes he can solve a situation on his own, but will more often than not admit when he does not know something.

Due to his companion and a natural curiosity about the world Relerin takes great effort and pride in his research and studies. Perhaps also due to his companion a good portion of Relerin’s curiosity is devoted to the study of Poes and other undead as well as the other side of the coin the study of life. Relerin is always more than interested in researching any reports he hears of any paranormal or undead activity. Due to this fascination he has been a bit avoided as many others do not have such high opinions on the undead, however unless they are outright hostile to him Relerin pays them little to no mind. The books of research notes Relerin carries around with him are some of his most prized possessions alongside the lantern of his companion.

Residence: A modest shack on the outskirts of the Lost Woods near the shores of Lake Hylia. It is one story with a basement divided into five rooms. A bedroom with a simple wooden bed and dresser; a washroom with large wooden tub for bathing, a mirror, and a smaller wooden tub for washing hands and such; a den with a two person couch, an overstuffed chair, and a fireplace with wood storage rack and tools next to it; a kitchen area with a stew pot, prep counter, and storage cabinets; and finally a storage room for various items such as cleaning supplies. The basement is divided into two rooms: a food storage room for pickled and other preserved foods, and a laboratory room with notes and drawings covering the walls and desks.

Pet: A Poe named Lelith that is at the current time too weak to create a ‘physical’ form. She remembers nothing of her past life or her cause of death save for the fact her ‘soul’ was found by Relerin in the Lost Woods while he was exploring leading them both to believe she met her fate within the woods. She is very impulsive and curious most of the time however she is also shy around others. For some reason neither can fully comprehend Lelith has a connection with Relerin and this combined with the fact she cannot make a body of her own has made Lelith agree to be carried around by Relerin in a lantern. She wishes to be with Relerin as often as possible.

Backstory: Relerin was born in Hyrule Castle Town to two Hylian parents that he has no memory of. Very early in his life the young Relerin was abducted and his parents were murdered by a cult that worshiped an evil spirit known as Ba’al, a spirit of death. The cult planned on sacrificing Relerin to try to coax Ba’al to appear before them. The ritual was conducted in an abandoned house in the lowest class portion of Castle Town where the cultists would not be bothered. As it started the runes carved into the wooden floor began to glow a deep purple and a tear began to form in the air next to Relerin who was set in the middle of the runes. The tear grew and split open revealing clawed hands pulling the spirit into reality. A crested head came through the portal next bearing no eyes and a smooth texture however few could have missed the wickedly sharp fanged smile. The jaws opened wide ready to swallow the infant however the door to the house bursts open and arrows pierce some of the cultists. The tear in reality closes in an instant as the ritual was interrupted severing Ba’al before the spirit turned into dust that covered Relerin.

Castle Town Guards burst into the house after they took down the first few cultists. The rest fell in short order as the leader of the guard approached the infant Relerin. After wiping the spirit dust off Relerin the guard leader removed her helmet and smiled trying to comfort him after the ordeal he had gone through. While the other guards swept the house Summer, the guard leader, looked the young Relerin over seeing the summoning runic pentagram in the infant’s eye she cursed herself for not arriving sooner. The other guards reported the bodies of Relerin’s slain parents to Summer leaving her with no real choice but to adopt the young Relerin. Summer had Relerin’s bodies blessed and put to rest by a local temple then took Relerin with her to their home.

However a few years after the ordeal with the cultists Summer decided to move to the town of Darunia due to both being transferred there and to get away from the city. Once in Darunia Summer set up schooling for the young Relerin where to Summer’s relief he excelled. Their life was simple in Darunia with Summer doing her guard duties while Relerin often played in the edges of the Lost Woods with the few friends he had made when not in his schooling. In his early teens Relerin began to develop a fascination with the undead and paranormal much to Summer’s dismay. Relerin happened upon stories of a spirit of evil named Ba’al in his personal research and noticed a familiar runic pentagram that was also in his eye. Summer was reluctant to answer her son’s questions at first due to not wanting to dig up the memories of how she found Relerin. However he was adamant about knowing causing Summer to relent and retell the events when Relerin turned 15 years old.

To her surprise Relerin took the revelation very well. He thanked her for finally revealing his past to him. After that conversation Relerin increased his studies of both death and life as he did not want to be entirely consumed by the dark of death. His studies continued for the next few years until he decided to move out of Darunia and live closer to the Lost Woods due to the abnormally high amount of undead encounters that were rumored to have occurred there. Summer agreed and helped her son build his own house with contacts made in Darunia. A few months after completing his house Relerin was in the Lost Woods doing some herb collecting and field study when he found a weak Poe Soul barely able to keep itself together. However there was no body or sign of a struggle nearby to explain the presence of the soul. Without thinking about Relerin had scooped the soul up in a bottle and brought it home. The Poe did nothing for weeks until one day it spoke. Relerin asked the Poe what had happened to it and why it was in the Lost Woods. Unfortunately the Poe was unable to remember anything about its past life other than it was a female Hylian. Relerin felt sad for the Poe and offered to keep her soul with him and decided to give her a name. The next day when Relerin traveled to Darunia for some supplies he had a lantern made for the newly named Lelith. Lelith helped with Relerin’s studies and became a light source while the pair traveled.

Looks good to me, if the eye becomes more than just cosmetic you might have to have it checked by a mod again later, but for now it's all good. Relerin's rebirth is REACCEPTED!
