Reaching for the sky [Skyreach]

Sirron dashed towards one of the Lizalfos Eria knocked away, and as it turned to face him, the beast swung low, the Kikwi surprising it with a helm splitter, following up by throwing two knives into its back. He brought a blade up, blocking the other Lizalfos and sliding low, cutting at its ankles as he went between its legs. As he gained enough distance away from it, he drew his bow, riddling the reptiles with arrows.

As the Lizalfoses fell, he glanced over to see how the last one was doing.

The Lizalfos threatening Loft was hit by the red-head's spin attack, and it stumbled forward. Hurt and off-balance, it wasn't ready for Loft to come charging in with his pretty dagger. It joined its cousins on the ground, and Loft nodded happily. He stretched and wiped the gunk from its blade, then turned and grinned at his companions.

"Well," he said, panting slightly, "that was fun. What now?" The words hadn't even left his mouth when the center of the vines covering the walls began to tremble. They twisted and slithered across the stone, sickly leaves shuddering as they scraped against the hard surface of the tower's wall. Small holes were revealed, looking as if they had been gnawed from the stone. A great rustling of leaves could be heard from within the holes, and a dim orange light began to shine from within each opening. One by one, Mad Scrubs began to pile into the room. They came slowly, only one or two being able to fit through a hole at a time, but there were so many of these small entrances that their numbers were quickly growing. Their orange eyes shone madly at the trespassers, and Loft glanced at the door on the far side of the room.

"Should we run," he whispered to the other two, "or fight?"
