Rika staggered over as the monkey collapsed and began to shrink. "I have no idea Dante, but I'm going to find out. . . " Rika muttered, exhausted, as he reached Dante's location. From out of a corner, a pink ball crawled out, having witnessed the entire fight. "Uhh. . . Fwends ok?" The blob curiously asked, his voice full of concern and worry. As he spoke, the monkeys slowly began to walk out of the temple, and seeing their boss shrinking, rushed out anxiously to surround him. The monkey had returned to the size of a normal monkey, though his fur had turned black likely permanently as a result of the transformation. His body was heaving heavily on the ground, likely heavily torn and exhausted from what he had been doing, but he seemed alive. The monkeys all cheered triumphantly, happy that their friend was alive and well.

"Hahahaha!" Rika couldn't help but laugh as if this encounter had driven him to insanity. "Yeah Wollo, we're fine, hahaha. You damn monkeys!" Rika shouted aggressively, causing the monkeys to suddenly stop their celebration and tense up nervously at Rika's shouting. "That was exhausting, your boss is an asshole! You better have some damn treasure for us, or at least you're gonna go find those stupid red apples!" Rika commanded, and the monkeys looked at each other curiously, mumbling among themselves as if they tried to understand what he was saying. As they seemed to reach a conclusion, they began to respond, but not before being interrupted.

Rika heard a fierce snapping noise behind him, similar to a Deku Baba but also akin to a bear trap. "What now. . . " He mumbled as he turned around, and what he saw was the last thing he wanted right now. Slowly growing, a Deku Baba began to morph and twist, its body growing gargantuan in size. Two comparatively smaller Deku Baba seemed to form out of its body, green ooze splashing out as they did. Their necks stretched longer than the longest of snakes, and it was even larger than Ook was. ". . . Oh damn it. Get out of here you stupid monkeys, you can't die without repaying me!" Rika barked at them, the monkeys all quickly lifting their boss up and running back into the temple. Wollo, recognizing the threat that was being posed, followed behind them.

It seemed like Ook wasn't enough of a fight for one day, but at least this thing didn't have biceps the size of Rika- though it did have a set of sharp teeth that could likely bite through a tree.

Oh no. The shard they'd gotten rid of. Apparently it still had magic left within it, and could affect even things made of plant matter. If Ook had been bad, this thing, that was already larger than the monkey had ever been, was not going to be easy. And he was still recovering from Ook's last blow. If he hadn't softened it, it likely would have killed it. As it were, his breathing was strained, and he might have a difficult time avoiding the enlarged Deku Baba's attacks. Right now, he just needed to make sure that he wasn't in its range. Wincing as he looked up, he searched frantically for what he needed. There!

With a high-pitched screech, Dante was gone, placed high above on a branch of a tree. Groaning as he moved his arms, he pulled at the bow on his back. He couldn't very well run right now, but he could rain hell down on the monster. And, these first few moments, before it had fully developed, would be crucial. Despite the pain, he knocked an arrow, pulling back with strain, but managing to loose it nonetheless. The sharp projectile collided with the monster's center, a bulbous area that he could only assume was once part of the original Baba. It screamed, as purple liquid flowed from the open wound, its Baba arms wriggling in pain. Still, it hadn't stopped growing.

"We need to find the shard!" Dante wheezed out, hoping Rika could hear him. He shot off another arrow, this time missing his mark. Fuck. He was starting to have a hard time keeping his aim steady, already. He had to keep trying, though. The longer this dragged on, the harder things would get.

"I don't know about that, I think we need to kill it!" Rika shouted back. Unlike the monkey, a Deku Baba didn't have hands; it couldn't exactly hold onto the shard like Ook was. Therefore, the only really way for it to remain in constant contact was to have eaten it. "Unless you wanna go diving down its throat, we're not getting that shard back while it's alive!" Rika replied as he began to chuck out a couple spells. First, he formed a ball of water in his hand, chucking it at one of the smaller heads that had formed. As it left his fingers, he brought his hand back down, snapping as he did so. A large, glowing circle formed underneath the base of the main body of the monster, and the attacks activated consecutively. First, the magical hand grenade exploded, completely destroying the tiny Deku Baba as its vine neck fell limp. Nice! Perhaps it was due to the fact that he had just began transforming, or maybe it was due to their different physiology, but the overgrown Deku Baba was certainly far less durable than Ook was.

Next was the spire. Erupting from the ground and tearing into the base of the Deku Baba, it let out a pained cry. Direct hit, too! It being immobile was very helpful, and another of those or two would inflict severe damage. That didn't mean it was helpless, as it began its counterattack at the one who had dealt such a significant blow to it; Rika. First, the other smaller Deku Baba head launched out, zooming across trees and at Rika. The Kokiri swiped at it with his scythe as it did so, though his flexibility was somewhat reduced from the blow he took from Ook. The head instinctively lurched to the side to avoid the slice, then slammed its long, vine-like body into Rika to knock him over. The blow was significantly less powerful than what he had taken earlier, but it was certainly enough to knock him over.

As he fell to the ground, the main body held its head back, as if it was preparing something, then spit its head forward, unleashing a wave of sizzling liquid forward headed straight for Rika. As it passed through trees on its way to Rika, they began to sizzle and dissolve, the bark of the wood vanishing from the acidic liquid it had unleashed. The Kokiri began to bring himself to his feet, but he wouldn't be able to dodge in time in his current condition.

Dante grunted. This was going nowhere good, and fast. He hung his bow on the branch, not having the time to replace it on his back. Rika had given him some time to breath, and his movements and breathing weren't quite so strained, now, but the giant Baba wasn't something you fought alone. Gotta help him. Shaking away his swirling vision, Dante raised his arm up at the monster. This would be far easier to aim, and though it would take some time, their enemy wasn't the most mobile. The aperture in his palm opened wide, expelling one of those strange, spherical explosives. The ball collided with the ground next to the Baba with a Thud!, bouncing off the dirt. Thankfully, it didn't go far, lodging itself just behind the Baba, which hadn't noticed the projectile, the sounds of its fight against Rika easily concealing the noise.

But Rika was down, and the thing was rearing its head. For what purpose, Dante was unsure, though he knew it would not end well for Rika. Can't stay up here forever. With Whirlwind in hand, he pushed off the sturdy branch, falling towards the Baba. Another head had turned Dante's head, and was quickly lunging to tear him to pieces with its sharp teeth. Too late. Dante was already gone in a flash of green, appearing just in front of Rika. He whipped around, reorienting himself to face the Baba, which was just beginning to unleash its acid.

Using his Wind Enchantment once more, Dante pulled up his left hand towards the giant blob, a gout of air expelling from his Whirlwind. The air blast collided with the caustic liquid, before sending it flying back at Diababa as a misty rain. It screamed in pain, as its skin was assaulted by its own projectile, burning away at its exterior. Dante staggered to a knee, panting.

As the Deku Baba screeched horribly as its own acid melted away at its plant matter, the large cannonball-like object directly behind it began to flash and beep even louder than before. Boom. Rika couldn't help but shield his eyes at the bright display of light that was being unleashed, a powerful, violent explosion tearing through its immediate surroundings and ripping them apart. As the light faded and Rika glanced at what happened, he was shocked. He had seen Dante use this ability before, but this was the first time he witnessed its effects on such a large enemy, and the results were incredible. A large portion of the Deku Baba's roots and back were completely extinguished, the creature struggling to support its massive body with no solid base. It let out echoing cries of pain at missing a large part of its body, its body slowly starting to collapse as it tumbled to the ground.

It flopped helplessly on the ground, trying to lift or move itself, but to no avail; while it was not yet dead, it was certainly not going to survive. Waking out of his state of shock, Rika snapped his hands at the beast. On cue, the grim reaper appeared for the Deku Baba. A large, glowing circle formed just under its large, meat-eating head, and the creature could do nothing but splash futilely as its doom was coming. The Spire erupted from the earth, tearing through its head and ripping it apart from its body, the head pierced through the spire like a public beheading and display. Its body fell limp, and for a few moments, there was silence. Its body then began to vanish, poofing away out of thin air. Gently falling down from its body was what had given them so much trouble in the first place; the jewel that Ook had.

Slowly making his way over, Rika bent down to look at the jewel. The previously strong, black color in it seemed to have faded into a dim grey, and if it was the shine the monkeys were after it for, they wouldn't desire it anymore. "This damn thing. . . Just what is it?" Rika questioned as he picked the jewel up to examine it in closer detail, having learned nothing from those who touched it previously. As he did, he felt something; for just a brief moment, a surge of energy, trying to overtake him. However, it quickly became incredibly weak and subsided, fading into nothing. Suddenly, Rika began to laugh lightly, as he dropped to the ground and laid on his back. "All of this because of some apples and monkeys. . . " He commented, Around this time, the monkeys began to come out, believing the fighting was over.

"Go get me my damn apples, monkeys." Rika wearily called out to the monkeys, his laughter subsiding.
