A large portion of her house is devoted to her library. Equipment: Normal Form: Opal wears a dark blue blouse with silver buttons, and looks fairly fancy. She wears a brown skirt that is just above her knees, and her shoes are bright red. A gold bracelet adorns her left wrist, and golden hoops hang from her ears. Opal also has a golden necklace around her neck. The necklace has a small dragon hanging from a chain, with a beautifully cut fire opal within its mouth. Everything about her apparel seems to scream pay attention to her. An Aroma Ring also sits delicately on her fingers, a rather shiny silver band with a ruby carved into the shape of a rose on top. She has two hidden daggers under her skirt. Both daggers look exactly alike, and both are stored in leather sheaths. The daggers are expertly decorated with dragons flying. The blades are sharp, and slightly curved. Wooden handles are covered in leather for easier gripping, with a fire opal is set in the back of each handle. Thief Form: Opal transforms into a completely different outfit. She wears standard leather armor, covered in a black cloth. Similar to a ninja in appearance, a mask covers all but her eyes. An assortment of weapons can be found all over her suit. Several throwing knives are located on her hips, and many small bags and straps hold various objects into place. The objects range from small marbles, to balls of cotton. Slightly random, but her arsenal usually changes, depending on the job at hand. Twin daggers hang in sheaths from her waist. These daggers are less fancy than her other pair, more practical. The blades are really dark colored, and the hilt is also black. Dragons also decorate these daggers, but they look more fearsome, and vicious, unlike the other daggers. The intricate carvings of the first set show beauty, these seem to show immense power and fear. Instead of a fire opal, as in the previous set, obsidian gemstones are embedded into the hilts. She has relatively thin eyebrows, and rather long eye lashes. Her lips are rather small, and so is her nose. She has long, bright red hair which is usually kept back, besides the short bangs on her forehead. Opal's ears are exceptionally pointy and stand out when she has her hair tied back, which she does quite often. Her wide jaw flows seamlessly into her well rounded chin. Opal has high cheekbones, and her cheeks are nice and full. She is of average height for a Hylian girl, with really long arms and legs. Opal is very lean, and has nicely developed muscles thanks to her thieving. Her hands are neatly manicured and so are her toes. Opal is not as skinny as she would like to be, but she is actually quite normal sized for a woman her age. Being very self-conscious about her appearance, and will take great measures to keep herself pretty. Personality: Children hold a special place in her heart. With her parents being abusive, or so she thinks, she takes pity on children. She would do almost anything for a child who asked her. Kokiri are especially lucky. Opal acts like a child as well, always joking around and laughing. She seems not quite fully mature, and in fact, she doesn't think of herself as an adult. Just an overgrown child. Only in the gravest situations make her serious. Opal tends to get everyone else to do things for her. From getting her a glass of water, or quitting their job, she doesn't truly care. There is nothing that she wouldn't try to get someone to do. In fact, she will often times try to get someone to do something stupid, just to see if he will. She loves to mess with people, and will do so at every opportunity. She loves getting peoples attention. In fact, part of her career as a thief stems from her desires to be the center of attention. In short, she is adrenaline junkie. Its all about the thrill, the harder the challenge, the more excited she gets. Conserving money, is something that she is not very good at. Whenever she comes into a large amount of money, Opal spends it all almost immediately. Tending to splurge it all on expensive gifts for herself. Running out of money rather quickly, she has to go and get more quite often. Background: Opal was born to an extremely wealthy family. Her parents were part of the upper-class, and as such, she was treated as such. She was spoiled with presents and small toys that a young baby might want. She was two at the time, and her life was significantly easier than the rest of children her age. Her parents were not the nicest people though. They were very rude to people below them. Never treating people with respect, it was no wonder they were murdered. A young thief named Aidon Farix was paid to put them to sleep, permanently. Grateful for all the money, he graciously accepted the offer, and set off the kill the Simmons. Aidon broke into their house from Opal's bedroom window. Sleeping, Opal didn't realize anything was wrong. Sneaking over to her crib, The thief raised his knife, only to stop. The little child had stolen his heart, and he could not force himself to hurt this child. She had done nothing wrong, except she was born at the wrong time. The man sneaked into her parents room, and slit both of their necks. Attempting to leave the way he came in, he saw the baby again. The thought of leaving the child along with no parents, was pure horror to the thief, who was abandoned as a child. He gently scooped up the child, and took her to raise as his daughter. Opal grew up told that he had rescued her from abusive parents, and with her being too young to remember her parents well, she believed it. Aidon had a small house he lived in on the edge of town. She lived among thieves and crooks, and she herself became one. She was taught in the ways of thievery, and she was excellent at it. Nothing seemed too much of a challenge for the young child, now around 10 years if age. Around her 13th birthday, she was given the chance to rob an old wizards home. It has been many years since anyone saw the man, and it was assumed he was dead. But would you want to anger a wizard by walking into his home? Opal was very nervous about this job, in fact, she had refused to do it at first. After successfully breaking in, she soon discovered that no living creature lived in the house. That is, besides the rats. Cobwebs were everywhere. She delightedly rummaged through all his belongings, enjoying every minute of it. She took as much as she could, taking all of his precious metals and the most expensive books. She did however keep a few books for herself. Word got out of her heist, and soon dozens of other thieves raided the place. Stealing everything that she had left behind. Saddened, Opal had planned on returning to further increase her riches. Luckily, she did have her books. Spending nights awake studying the vast tomes of magical abilities. Years later, now a full grown adult, Opal used her wealth to purchase a nice little cottage in the middle of Castle Town. Never hearing the truth about her parents, she has become a master thief, augmenting her natural skills with her magical prowess. Entertaining her normally lazy lifestyle, by robbing people much richer than her. Life has become a game, a game of showing off her skill.
