    Residence:
Nina and her lover live in a small house, in the residential district of Hyrule Castle Town. Nina in particular claims the kitchen and the dining room as her territory, warding even Corvus from the kitchen and forbidding certain behavior in the dining room.
    Acquaintances:
    - Corvus Wraithwind: Nina's protector, lover, and elder brother. He's objectively not a very pleasant person to be around, but there is no one Nina would rather be with.

    Height: 5’5”.
Weight: Corvus would kill you for asking.
    Appearance:
While she currently loses out to many Hylian women, Nina is by no means an unattractive woman. She stands at almost five feet and a half, sporting a very elegant build reminiscent of a dancer, rather than a songstress. With her fair skin, her short beak, and her heart-shaped face, she is fairly easily recognisable on the streets. Nina has bright green eyes, as well as waist-length brown hair. She often wears her hair in a ponytail when she has to fly, but normally she leaves it down. Nina’s wings are golden brown in color, and may appear a little small, but are strong enough to lift her into the air.

When performing, Nina dresses in a simple, red bard’s tunic, a pair of black pants, and black boots. They’re warm enough for most months of the year, but during bad weather or lower temperatures, Nina has a heavy black, hooded robe that she can wear over her normal clothing. One her belt, there is a small pouch containing her Scale of Valoo. While she’s not very violent or intimidating, Nina openly wears her quiver on her hip, where anyone can see how well-filled she keeps it. She carries her bow on her back at all times as well, only hiding it when she puts on her thick robe. She doesn’t do this to be intimidating, but because Corvus demands that she be able to protect herself at all times.

    Personality:
Nina is a very caring, warm-hearted and loveable woman. There are few things in which she finds greater joy than singing, whether alone or for others. However, she genuinely enjoys helping others with whatever trouble they might have. She has some skill in herbalism, and while this doesn’t make her a healer, she always insists on treating those who are hurt. Most often, that is her brother and lover Corvus, who seems to worry her once every three weeks by coming home wounded and needing Nina to tend to him.

Corvus is Nina’s greatest weakness. She’s a naïve person who wants to see the good in everyone, especially him. It is undeniable that Corvus has faults, but Nina is completely blind to them, seeing him only as a good man who would go to extreme lengths to protect and provide for his loved one- although she cannot quite fathom just how extreme the lengths Corvus goes to are. She never asks any questions, as she promised long ago she wouldn’t, and merely treats his wounds and feeds and loves him.

Unlike him, she still has faith in Valoo and prays to him almost every night, much to Corvus’ annoyance. She’s not precisely a priestess for him and doesn’t worship him openly, but still has some faith remaining. Nina regrets having had to leave Dragon Roost and hopes to return there one day, where she isn’t dwarfed and looked down upon by most Hylians passing her, but she knows it is impossible and if given the choice, she would leave again.

    Backstory:
Nina was the child of a hunter and a scholaress Rito, living on Dragon Roost Island as most of their kind. They’d had a child before her, a boy whom they had named Corvus. It was a given that, being siblings close in age, Nina and Corvus would become close, but no one could have fathomed from the beginning just how close these two would become. Ever since he learned how to walk and talk, Corvus spent most of his time around Nina, protecting her from things and people, disregarding whether or not that was necessary.

As time went on, Nina slowly but surely grew more and more attracted to the man that was her brother, although she kept it quiet for several years. She knew she shouldn’t be having those feelings for him and tried to repress them, with no luck. When, during their early teen years, Corvus confessed that he, too, had feelings for her, the two started going out as boyfriend and girlfriend, while holding up the façade towards their relatives and neighbours that they were simply very close siblings.

Around the time they got involved, Nina started to learn the basics of archery from her father, as well as basic magic from her mother. Like most Ritos, she proved to have more aptitude for her father’s field than that of her mother, quickly growing very talented with both the longbow and the shortbow. While she did master a spell or two under her mother’s tutelage, and enjoying the feel of working magic, she felt more drawn to archery and forewent magic studies in favour of practicing under her father.

Corvus, being older, was naturally the first to obtain his wings. The showoff that he was, he kept making Nina jealous with them, but him having been first to go up the mountain was also favourable for Nina. He told her all the secrets of the road to Valoo, including shortcuts and traps, and went in with her when she went off to get her own wings. All this made it incredibly easy to reach Valoo and receive his scale. That night, as a means of celebration, Nina and Corvus spent on one of Dragon Roost Island’s many beaches, having their first intimate encounter.

About a year later, they started their fall from grace. One of their mutual friends caught them kissing, while they were normally very careful with their displays of affection. Corvus made it clear to him that he had to keep it a secret, especially from their parents, but as soon as he got outside of Corvus’ range, their friend betrayed them, telling their parents what he had seen. Initially, Nina and Corvus never noticed that they knew, but as they became careless and kissed in the house, they were caught again, this time by their father.

Having to confess their relationship, as they had no other explanation ready, Nina was close to tears as she knew what the consequences would be. Her parents were virtuous people and her relationship with her brother was wrong. Corvus claimed that he was the one who had started, trying to draw the blame off of his sister. She didn’t get the time to become sick with worry, as their father wasted no time throwing Corvus out of the house and sending Nina to her room.

When her mother called Nina the next morning for breakfast, there was no response, and when she checked her daughter’s room, it was empty- Nina had taken her bow, her filled quiver, her Scale of Valoo, some rupees and some clothes, and left the house through the window. By the time this was discovered, she and Corvus had landed in Port Mido, where they spent a few days recovering their strength before flying on to Hyrule Castle Town.

In Hyrule Castle Town, they were still not at the end of their misery. They had brought some money with them, but nowhere near enough to purchase a house, and therefore they had to sleep in an inn for a while. After a few weeks the innkeeper started wondering what was keeping these two travellers confined to his inn for so long, but fortunately before he could suspect them of being fugitives Corvus found not only a job, but also an affordable house that they could move into. When Nina asked what kind of job he had found, he told her he now worked as an informant for the town guard. He couldn’t tell her what his exact activities were, as he gathered sensitive, sometimes classified information. Nina didn’t ask further, accepting this explanation, and for their first year of living in that house, was satisfied to simply run the household while Corvus brought in money.

After that year, though, Nina discovered that singers on the streets were given rupees by passerby, and decided to lock up the house and give it a go. She soon found a spot near their house, as well as a loyal audience, and started bringing in money to the household as well. She knew it would take a long time before she and Corvus could live comfortably without any money concerns at all, but with her own income, they could at least afford their current living. It has happened once or twice that she has received dishonourable suggestions in return for which she could get a huge tip, but after she confided in Corvus the men who made the suggestion suddenly stopped coming.

Presently, Nina pays it no heed, content to just live in peace with her brother, although they proclaim to be a married couple, rather than siblings.
