Ok, so since HC is pretty much done, I was thinking of perhaps making a better skin. What do you all thing? At this point I think we are only going to use one skin, its a huge hassle to make multiple. So I want your oppinions, do you like this one and want it to stay? Would you like one darker? Lighter (might be bad >.< lol)? Less retro? Let me know! I want it to look good lol.
I would highly disagree with doing it this way. Perhaps you could only have one default skin with no plans to make more, but those with a bit more talent for this sort of thing--Adaar, mainly--should have the opportunity to make this place look better than you or I could if they choose to do so. Even I would want to give a crack at it eventually. I rather honestly don't like this one much at all. The banner... the color scheme... the (lack of) buttons... the unoriginal smilies... granted, I probably couldn't make something too much better. Personally I'd like a banner that didn't feature Link, Ganon, or other major Zelda characters. This site doesn't focus on them; it focuses on locales, Zelda lore, and above all original characters set within the world of Hyrule. The theme, buttons, and especially the banner should reflect that. I would also suggest against themes involving heavy use of black, red, orange, or yellow, as they subconsciously encourage hostility or other negative emotions. Technically there's at least a few things which still need doing: - Racial abilities have not been added to the character creation thread or Library of Treasures yet. - Business Scrubs and River Zora still need to be worked in as Regular-exclusive races. - Apparently, you still haven't gone over the entire Library as I asked you to do. - You never re-worked the history of Hyrule (and because of that, I would not be able to post my character in his current form, given that his history currently contradicts that of Hyrule's).
The whole multi skin thing is just difficult, it can be done but for each skin we have to find one to edit and upload it all through the FTP, even the banner and other images have to be uploaded through an FTP so its just hard is all I was saying. Should we just keep this one and make a better banner and get buttons for it? (we can add others later when I'm not as busy) As for the stuff that needs to be done done still, I'll get started on them tonight. Right now I'm really busy with school and work, but I'll try not to let them slip by.
Well you would have to have access through Adad's passwords and stuff and only he can give that stuff out. So you'll have to talk to him about it.
