Hey everyone! For a while I've been creating a semi-modern Fire Emblem world. This is mainly an experiment in World Building, but I'll probably start writing in it after it's complete.

First off here's the map (It's Elibe by the way)

Also, here's the history of Ilia

The History of the Socialist State of Ilia
    The Great Revolution
In 1783 AS (After Scouring) The Kingdom of Ilia, like most of the world between 1780 and 1850, was going through a time of economic hardship. People were increasingly unhappy with Queen Tharina II's rule, and other political factions were beginning to emerge. The largest of them was the Communist faction, headed by a charismatic young Pegasus Knight captain by the name of Ingrid. Tensions between the factions and the Kingdom grew until 1785, when Tharina ordered that all potential revolutionaries be cleansed from the army in an attempt to keep power in her hands. Instead, it sparked what would be known in Ilian history as the Great Revolution. Captain Ingrid persuaded a sizeable chunk of the Ilian army, including most of the Pegasus knights, to join her in rebellion.

Two years later, in December of 1787, the communist led by Ingrid herself, marched on the capital Edessa. The Queen was killed in the conflict (according to
propaganda, Ingrid herself killed the queen in an epic duel to decide the fate of the country, although this is most likely just myth). Ingrid was named the president following the end of the battle, and immediately began attempts to industrialize the country,

    Ingrid's Rule, 1787-1820
In 1788, Ingrid bean to put the first of her industrial reforms into place. First, in The Farm Reallocation Program farms were collectivized and people were forced to move to the larger collectivized farms. The policy, while successful, created famines in the country, a theme that would continue throughout the Socialist State's history.

In 1796, Ingrid began the Factory prioritization programs in an attempt to industrialize the country. Factories were built in major cities all around Ilia and farmers were encouraged to move to cities to work in the factories. Five years later, in 1801, the policy which would continue throughout her rule was already showing signs of success. Production was at an all time high, and while still struggling, the economy was in a much better place than it had been 18 years ago. It was not without cost however, as famines did even more damage to the country due to the lack of farmers resulting from the policy.

    Fiona
A Pegasus knight of the state, Fiona rose quickly through the ranks for her skill and affinity for command. Unlike Ingrid, Fiona used raw power as opposed to charisma to command, and wasn't above threats and the likes to get what she wanted. Eventually, she ended up Ingrid's right hand man, and was named heir to the state by Ingrid. Ingrid died less than a week later.

    The Annexation of Sacae
In 1823, 3 years after taking power, Fiona decided her country, now more powerful than ever before, had to make a move to rise to prominence as a great power in Elibe. That move turned out to be on the sparsely populated plains of Sacae. The government, a confederation of tribes* was fairly decentralized and their technology was behind most of the continent. As a result, they were an easy target, and announced surrender under a year later after the occupation of Bulgar by Ilian forces.

    The Settlement and Industrial Programs
After the capture of Sacae, Fiona wanted the land to be immediately profitable. To achieve this, she began one of the fastest demographic shifts in history. She ordered factories, as well as other buildings be built there and forced migrations of Ilian families to Sacae. Entire cities rose seemingly overnight, and the population boomed. By 1835, Ilians outnumbered Sacaeans in their own land. This came at a price however, and famines more devastating than anything from Ingrid's rule devastated the population.

*Similar to our world's Iroquois Confederacy

I had more to post, but it's a lot of stuff, and I think I'll wait. This is by far the most detailed nation I've done so far anyways. besides, each nation should probably get their own posts.
