Bow & Quiver A wooden longbow and a dozen arrows is all Mila uses for defense. It's the only weapon that she has ever been taught to handle. The rather bland looking leather quiver sits on Mila's left hip, enabling her to quickly & efficiently nock them. Apparel Nothing fancy here. Preferring to keep her wardrobe simple and functional, Mila's wardrobe consists of a plain, white cotton tunic that reaches slightly below the knees, a pair of brown leggings, a pair of worn leather boots, a long black scarf with blue embroidered edging, and a lengthy black sash with blue embroidered edging. Water Skin Bottle Pretty self explanatory. A water skin bottle, kept at her side by a leather strap that comes across the chest and passes around the back, meeting in front again. The water skin bottle is used for long travels with no fresh water in between. Especially useful in hot, sticky climates. Leather Journal Meant to help her keep her emotions and feelings under control during these strenuous times. Mila writes her experiences, dreams, fears, and thoughts, in the form of poems, stories, or songs. Place of Origin: Kakariko Village Residence: Western Cave Backstory- Before Ganon began his attack on the peaceful land of Hyrule, Mila and her parents lived in the small village of Kakariko. Subsiding in a small house, near the entrance. The small family of three managed to make a living off farming. Mila had taken care of the little livestock they had owned, which included a cow, and half a dozen cuccos. For many years, they remained a frugal family, just making their lot in life, selling milk, eggs, and cheese. Although poor, the group was quite content. At the age of eleven, Mila's life had been flipped upside down. Ganon had issued a surprise assault on the unsuspecting villagers. In the midst of Ganon's ambush on the feeble village, the young girl had been separated from her parents. Chaos erupted, thousands of moblin and stalfos filtered into previously undisturbed Kakariko. A hylian man she had seen around the village from time to time had ushered her and a myriad of others to safety, leading them to the gates and sending them off towards the Western Caves, orders derived from the mayor himself. Many men stayed behind, providing the others a chance to make a clean escape. Kakariko had fallen under the rule of the dark lord Ganon soon after. That was fifteen years ago. A long, painful, and frightening fifteen years. The once young girl, is now a mature twenty six year old woman. Ever since that forsaken day, Mila had lived under the protection and refuge of the western caves, having nothing but a small nook with a cot, and a boulder to set the meager amount of objects she had owned. The young woman no longer farmed, but instead took up archery to hunt for food, keep hunger at bay, and defend herself from Ganon's servants while on minor food expeditions. Mila has never seen much of Hyrule, aside from her previous residence, the western caves, and the limited amount of distance she travels to hunt. The twenty six year old had never figured out what had happened to her mother and father, to this very moment it was still a mystery. One day, she would leave and do more with her life. The enigma with her parents would be solved and she would be at peace with herself once more... Appearance Physical: As appearances go, Mila isn't bad looking. Just an average girl. Her physique happens to be light boned and lean. Due to her harsh life as a western cave refugee and a hunter, Mila is in relatively good shape, her upper body wielding most of her strength. Hair Type and Color: The color of her hair is mixed between a dark shade of brown and red. Mila's hair is naturally wavy, reaching mid shoulder length. Skin Color: Seeing her skin doesn't see much sun, it's fairly light. Personality Mila isn't a very complicated person, she usually hides her courage behind a blanket of shyness and indecisiveness. Not much courage can be squeezed out of her. This is one of the many faults she must overcome. Mila excels in kindness and humility. This causes her to be a slight pushover. Although kind and shy, this doesn't mean Mila is helpless, in fact, she prefers spending a lot of time alone. Throughout her years in the western caves, Mila has learned how to survive by herself and rely on herself. She takes a fondness to archery and hunting, using this as her main tactic to survive. This young women is rather open minded, known as a follower rather then a leader. Instead of confrontation, Mila would prefer diplomacy and the “talking it out method” then a bloody fight. Since she is unconfrontational, this woman is hardly a hardcore fighter, a mediocre at best. To keep herself emotionally intact, Mila carries a small leather book everywhere, writing down her thoughts and poems, relating her experiences, emotions, and dreams...Although not exceptionally at poetry, her hope one day is that someone will read her thoughts and take something away from it....
