    Name: Jenni Lightfoot

    Age: 28

    Gender: Female

    Race: Hylian (Hyrule Guard)

    Class/ Profession: Hyrule Guard Sniper

    Place of Origin: Hyrule Castle-Town

    PWC: (2/1/5)

Abilities: Spin Attack (Racial), Sense (Racial), Wind's Reqiuem (Music)

    Treasures: Rupees (40), Hawkeye

    Height: 5' 2"

    Weight: 116 lbs.

Equipment: Jenni carries with her, almost everywhere, her weapons of choice. Her main weapon, and the tool of her trade is a modified crossbow. This weapon is no different than a normal crossbow, except for a cushioned shoulder butt in place of the normal wood. Where ever this crossbow goes, Jenni brings a quiver holding, when full, 36 bolts. The quiver is slung on her back, straight down from her right shoulder. The crossbow is generally held by a strap to her back, parallel to her quiver.

On her left hip Jenni wears a sheathed saber. This sword is about 2' 3" long, and has a slight curve. The outside of the curve is sharpened, and the inside is dull. The top two inches of the inside curve are sharpened, creating a good stabbing point. While mostly a slashing weapon, Jenni's saber has some stabbing capabilities. This blade looks near perfect, the only defect being a slight nick on the outside of the round hand guard at the base of the blade. The handle is finished by a small green pommel stone. This stone balances the blade perfectly, its fulcrum being just above the hand guard.

The other large item carried by Jenni is a Travel Guitar. She carries this on her back, next to the quiver.

Appearance: Jenni looks short and slim when standing next to the male members of the Hyrule Guard, standing at 5' 2" and weighing only 116 lbs. Her fine hair is red and reaches just under her shoulders. Jenni has a slight build, with thin shoulders and hips that match her angular face. She has a very pale skin tone, which causes her bright green eyes to seemingly glow. Jenni's breasts, much like the rest of her, are small. She likes them this way, as they allow for a full range of motion while wielding a blade or bow. She has small hands, but a surprisingly strong grip.

Jenni generally wears a form fitting blue tunic with loose sleeves, and tight black pants. Both items are made of cloth. The tunic buttons across her chest, on an angle from left hip to her throat. She tends to leave the top two button undone, showing a small amount of skin below her neck. Many people see this as a small attempt to show herself off, but Jenni feels restricted with the tunic buttoned to the top. The tunic extends to just below her waist, and is worn under her thick black leather belt.

When traveling or fighting Jenni wears a hardened leather chest guard that was specially made to fit her perfectly. While this armour is not strong enough to block a strong spear thrust or crushing blow, it will stop most arrows and most slashing attacks. Jenni also has a hardened leather vambrace on each forearm, iron greaves, and leather thigh guards. The thigh guards cup the front and outside of each thigh, and are held in place by leather straps. The greaves are very similar in design to those worn by Greek hoplites. While neither the vambraces or thigh guards could stop a direct blow from any weapon, the greaves were made much tougher, and can stop all but a crushing blow which, while not breaking the armour, would likely shatter her shin.

On her belt Jenni has two small pouches and a large pouch. The small pouches are on her hips, one hanging just in front of the saber. The third is hanging on the back of her belt. The small pouch on the right hip contains whatever money she is carrying, and the pouch on her back contains rations and whatever else she needs for the day. The left pouch is generally left empty, and is for extra storage.

Residence: Jenni owns a small two story house in Lon Lon Ranch. The house faces north. The main floor features a kitchen and dining area, as well as a few cushioned chairs for relaxing. On the wall farthest from the threshold there is a staircase leading to the second floor, starting on the east side and reaching the top n the west. The stairway opens into a small hallway, which spans the western wall. The hallway ends at a doorway, which opens into the bedroom. Before the bedroom door there are two more doors. The door closest to the stairs opens into a small storage closet, which houses a box of clothing, her amour, a broom and a bucket. The second door opens into a small bathroom, containing a wooden tub, a small basin and of course, a toilet. The toilet opens to a small stone-lined passage that falls into a pit under the house. Pouring a bucket of water down after defecating tends to keep the smell down. Jenni's bedroom contains a soft double bed and a chest for clothing and items. There is not much decoration other than a vase of flowers and a small painting of her family.

Backstory: Thirty years ago a slim blond hylian woman, and a dark haired hylian man met in the Hyrule Castle-Town market. They soon married, and two years later had a red-haired daughter. This child perplexed the couple as none of their known family shared her hair colour. They named this child Jennifer for her fathers grandmother, and Leah for her mothers closest friend. The family name was Lightfoot, due to a silent-walking thief several generations in the past.

Jenni began talking at the age of two years, and was soon running around her family house with surprising energy. Her early years were rather uneventful, until the day after her sixth birthday. Jenni was running around the middle-class district of Castle-Town, enjoying puddles in the road from the early morning rain. She had with her a doll named Squiggles, that her mother had made as a birthday gift. Jenni was enjoying th day so much that she lost track of where she was, and before she knew it she was playing the high-class part of town. Two hylian girls her age, both the daughters of nobles, saw her and pushed her to the ground. They then tore the head off Squiggles and called her names. This, for a six year old girl, was devastating. Jenni ran home crying, and hid in her room. She was finally enticed out by her mother offering her some sweets. Although she was a mere six years old, Jenni vowed to never allow anyone to treat her that way again. A week later she returned to where her doll had been murdered, and broke the leg of one of the girls with knotted stick. She was returned home by a very amused Hyrule Guard, and was made to stay inside for a month after, as punishment by her parents. Needless to say, she was never bullied again.

Jenni lived at home for the next 7 years. She was only 13 when Ganon invaded Southern Hyrule. Her father joined the Hyrule Guard in an effort to assist in the war. He was never much of a soldier, and was killed while fighting a moblin army south of Death Mountain, only a short year after the invasion began. For the next 4 years Jenni and her mother stayed safe in Castle-Town, listening daily to reports of horrors from the South.

Finally, five years after the terrible war started, Link the Hero confronted the Dark King. As suddenly as it had started, the war ended, but the threat of Ganon's armies remained. Much against her mothers wishes Jenni enlisted with the Guard on her 18th birthday. After two years of vigorous training Jenni returned home a new woman. For two years she was forced to prove herself next to the men; forced to fight for their respect and for equality. Jenni trained in all manor of weapons, from spear and lance to sword and bow. Her above average marksmanship skills won her a promotion to the Sniper Division of the Hyrule Guard. This was a small group of archers proficient at hitting their targets more often than not. Jenni was the only woman in this small 20 man outfit, but the men treated her as "one of the guys". Of course, at first they all took turns trying to sleep with her, but after repeated rejections they gave that up. For the next ten years she fought with these men, losing many old friends in battle, but gaining even more new friends.

To fill her spare time while Jenni took up playing guitar. She learned quickly, but was never exceptional at it. One afternoon Jenni decided to practice her marksmanship. After a half dozen shots the wind suddenly picked up. Jenni had just released a bolt, which missed the target by a a fair distance due to the erratic wind, when a newer member of the outfit came up to her.

"Wind giving you trouble, eh?" The stony look Jenni had tossed at the man turned into a quizzical one when he pulled out a flute. "Watch this." The man played four notes and within seconds the direction of the wind changed. It was now blowing towards the target, instead of across it. The man proceeded to explain that this song was called the Wind's Requiem. "I figured you may find it useful."

Jenni got into many confrontations with her outfit. While most of them consisted of nothing more than firing a few arrows at a few important enemies then running like cowards, but more than a few were more difficult. One notable battle happened only two years ago. Jenni and her outfit were stalking a small group of bandits to the East of Lon Lon Ranch when they were ambushed. Four of her companions, including the second in command, went down in the first attack. The bandits fought like drunken brawlers, with no real skill, and were quickly forced to run, but not before another two Guards fell. One of the men, Jorge, was a close friend of Jenni's. She was at his side when the light left his eyes. Before he died Jorge pressed his sword into her hands.

"Take it, and never forget us." Jenni still carries that saber. The saber has but one defect; a small notch on the hand guard, where Jorge failed to defend from the overhand sword swing that killed him.

Jenni currently resides in Lon Lon Ranch, along with half of her outfit. They moved into a few small houses here, and sometimes sell themselves as caravan guards. Jenni never married, and never intends to. She visits her mother every couple months, and writes her weekly.
