    Name: Jacob Daniel Temple

    Age: 44

    Gender: Male

    Race: Hylian

Occupation: Hyrule Castle Town Guard Specialist Unit - Wyvern Rider (Retired)

    Highest De Facto Rank: Captain

    Highest Official Rank: Lieutenant

    Alignment: Lawful Good

    Rupees: 155

Place of Origin: Hyrule Castle Town-Middle Class District

    PWC: 5/2/1

    Racial Abilities (open)
Sense - Those with this ability will detect the presence of and vague location of other living creatures purely by instinct, particularly those who are dangerous or intent on doing them harm. The range of this sense is roughly five meters, and penetrates all forms of barriers, even those which deflect magic.

Spin Attack - After taking a moment to focus their strength into their weapon, the user spins around once or twice in quick succession with their weapon outstretched, which sends out a potent wave of force in all directions around the user. The length and force of the wave depends on the weapon and the user's reach (e.g., a spear will have a longer wave, and a mace will have a blunt wave while a sword will have a slicing wave). If this technique is used in mid-air, the user will be suddenly propelled upwards several feet.

    Treasures (open)
Bomb Bag - A Bomb Bag is a small satchel, comparable in size to a honeydew, which can be attached to a belt or backpack. At any given time, the user can reach into this sack to inexplicably pull out a fist-sized bomb already lit with a fuse of about five seconds. It will explode violently, when the fuse runs out, but can also burst with a significant impact or enough heat. Strangely, this sack only functions when an individual bomb is pulled out one at a time--for instance, the user cannot simply dump out the would-be contents of the sack.

Mirror Shield - This shield can vary widely in appearance, but always has a mystical and inexplicable reflective coating on the exterior. This coating is capable of perfectly reflecting not only light, but magical projectiles as well, and sending them back at their caster. (Magical projectiles are roughly defined as any projectile produced by a Spell, Skill, Technique, or Magical-field item (not to be confused with Magic-tier item).)

Goron Iron blocks (x2) - This precious metal can be used in crafting by a player-character with a sufficiently-related level in the Crafting treasure. When used as a material, a brick Goron Iron can create a single weapon, armor set, or other item that is completely resistant to heat or other elements, and cannot be broken even by a Powder Keg. The drawback is that Goron Iron is extremely heavy, being three times the weight of steel, and its indestructible nature makes it impossible to sharpen, leaving any weapon made of it dull. Goron Iron is unmixable with any other [Material] treasure.

Fire Breath - After taking a deep breath, the user exhales not mere air, but searing flames, which can travel out several feet and last as long as the user can blow.

Flame Choke - With their hand secured around a feasible grab-able part of the user's body, particularly the neck or face, the user's hands suddenly clenches and a flare of dark flames bursts from their hand, searing and burning the foe viciously while simultaneously blowing them back from the force of the attack.

Blacksmith (Armorsmith) Level 1 - The blacksmith trade is the most common trade used by warriors, as metal can be used to craft traditional weapons like axes and swords, thrown weapons, shields, and protective metallic armor. Blacksmiths benefit from being able to craft both the hardest and the sharpest objects. When a blacksmith consumes a Material, he can craft any one metal melee weapon, an ample supply of metal ammunition for a ranged weapon (including arrows or bolts), a suit of armor, an armor accessory, a shield, or nearly any one object smaller than the blacksmith which is made mostly out of metal.
As a blacksmith, you can freely repair any broken, rusted, or bent metallic item during a role-play. Since metal items are usually smelted and shaped, you cannot normally separate such items into their Material components.

Lens of Truth - A Lens of Truth appears as a purple magnifying glass. Several red markings adorn the glass, making it appear similar to one large eye. When one holds this glass, it enables them to see through all forms of visual illusion, as well as not being blinded by bright flashes, such as those from Deku Nuts.

    Height: 6' 2"

    Weight: 305

    Equipment:
--Weapon(s): Jacob's main weapon is a very well crafted Goron Iron broadsword that was reforged from Jacob's old iron broadsword. The sword has a two and a half foot long blade that is five inches wide and half an inch thick. The hilt of the sword is a simple t-shape with the grip being groved to fit better into Jacob's hand. Jacob's sword has a simple brown leather scabbard that Jacob keeps attached to his left hip for quick sword access. Jacob also has a a worn looking brown sack that is tied to his right hip. On the sack is a picture of a blue bomb showing that it is indeed a Bomb Bag.

--Shield: Jacob also has a tower Mirror Shield that he uses along with his Goron Iron broadsword. The shield measures four feet tall, two feet wide and three inches thick. The front of the shield is a polished mirror surface with a golden Triforce embossed into the middle of the shield and a red bird embossed underneath the Triforce. The mirror is bordered and secured by a ring of red colored steel with rivets on each corner and in the middle of the sides. The back of the shield is reinforced by wood and more rivets. There are two handles for Jacob's arm on the back riveted in. The handles can be attached to the back of Jacob's armor when the shield needs to be taken along, but not necessarily used.

--Armor: Jacob wears a suit of finely crafted iron scale mail armor that covers Jacob's upperbody to his neck and his forearms and lower body to the mid shin. Covering up the lowerbody section of the armor is a pair of heavy duty light brown work pants and a pair of dark brown leather boots. Above Jacob's chest armor is a blue gray Guard tabard with the Royal Family Crest on it much like the standard issue one for rank and file Guards. Over Jacob's hands are fingerless iron plate covered brown leather gauntlets.

--Misc: Jacob owns a large saddle that is always on Eysseth's back. The saddle has an area to store Jacob's sword and shield when Jacob doesn't need them. On each side of the saddle just under Eysseth's wings are two rather large carrying bags. The bags are not fully filled, but inside the bags are basic wilderness survival supplies. In the left side bag are some herbs and other plants that Jacob can use in a pinch to help relieve minor cuts and bruises along with minor burns and other minor ailments. Also in the left side bag is a plain dark green circular canteen, some flint and steel, about ten feet of rope, a lantern and bottle of oil for said lantern. In the right side bag is a tent large enough for Jacob and several pots and pans for cooking. The supplies are neatly packed in each bag so as to leave room for anything else that might need to be put in one of the bags.
On Jacob's person he always keeps an old color pictograph of Jacob's family before Ganon attacked Southern Hyrule. In the picture Jacob is standing in the center of the picture holding his one year old daughter, who is wrapped up in a pink blanket, and smiling a very large smile. To his right is Jacob's wife Lily. A shorter Hylian female with jet black hair, jade green eyes, and a small smile on her gentle looking face. She wears a red sundress and holds on to Jacob's arm. Eysseth's head is to the left of Jacob. It looks like Eysseth is smiling a few of her sharp teeth showing. Jacob keeps this pictograph in his armor.

Appearance: Jacob has a very large muscular frame from both his training with the Hylian Guard and from his fighting over the years. His skin is a tad bit tan but he is still pretty white. He has short cut blond hair and a finely trimmed Chevron mustache. His face is sort of blockish with a large blunt nose, piercing blue eyes, and well defined jawline. He has broad shoulders and well defined pecks and six pack. His arms have very well defined biceps, triceps, and forearms. His hand are relatively large and covered in scars. He has very large thighs and calves. Although Jacob is a man of over forty he is in very good shape. He is easily able to fight off near everything short of a Darknut by himself. He keeps up with his Guard workout routine when he has free time to keep his body in shape.

Residence: Jacob has no proper house as he travels around with Eysseth helping the people that he meets along the way. The closest thing to a house Jacob has is the tent that he sets up when he and Eysseth set up a camp for the night. If Jacob happens to be in a town and he has extra money he will stay in Inns for nights. He has also stayed at friends houses when he runs across an old Guard friend from back in the day.

Backstory: Jacob was born in Hyrule Castle Town, specifically in the Middle Class District. Both of Jacob's parents were in the Hyrule Castle Town Guard. Jacob's father, Richard Temple, was a Commander in the 15th Heavy Armor and Weapons Unit and Jacob's mother, Susan Temple, was a Lieutenant in the 34th Healer Corps. Jacob lead an average childhood playing with other children his age and going to school. In school Jacob did average or just below. Jacob however got very high marks in Religious Studies and Hyrulean History, specifically in the wars of Hyrule's past. At age 12 Jacob started to learn the art of sword play from his father on his father's free time. Richard would often take Jacob along on patrol with him. Jacob got to meet many new people and help his father solve problems and help people all through out Hyrule Castle Town. Jacob loved helping his father with his Guard duties and he loved helping other people even more. Jacob decided that the only life for him was the life of a Guard. Almost instantly after turning 18 Jacob signed up for the Hyrule Castle Town Guard wanting to follow in his father's footsteps.

Jacob entered basic training and excelled at animal handling and explosives work. Jacob passed through basic training with relative ease. Jacob became a rank and file Guard who patrolled through the Castle Town helping the citizens. He was first placed under the command of Sergeant Taylor Summer. Jacob helped with Animal Control rather well even going so far as to not permanently injure any of the animals he was tasked with removing. The higher ups in the Hyrule Castle Town Guard took notice of Jacob's talents with animal handling. When Jacob turned 20 he was promoted to Sergeant and was placed in a new experimental Mounted Division of the Guard. Jacob was given a White Wyvern as his mount. Jacob went a seven month training program and had tamed the Wyvern. The Airborne Mounted Unit was formed from exceptional Guards on various flying mounts. Loftwings, Wyverns, and Pegasi mounted Guards were in the Airborne Mounted Unit giving air support and rapid deployment options to other Guards of other divisions. Jacob was placed in a Wyvern Squad under the command of a Commander Blake Lockheart. At age 24 Jacob and the rest squad were sent to Southern Hyrule along with various other Guard Divisions to help patrol and protect the newly established towns of Southern Hyrule. Jacob's squad was divided by Commander Lockheart and placed among the towns of Southern Hyrule. Jacob was sent to the town of Saria and promoted to Lieutenant.

The town of Saria was quiet being one of if not the furthest south town in Southern Hyrule. Being such a quiet town Jacob had much free time on his hands. With his new free time Jacob continued to train with his Wyvern, who he had named Eysseth. It was about five or so months after Jacob was stationed in Saria when the Captain of the Saria Town Guard passed away of a heart attack in his sleep and Jacob was once again promoted being the highest ranking member of the Guard in Saria. After becoming Captain Jacob met a member of near unknown race called Subrosians named Kydar Halfborn. The two quickly became good friends. Kydar and Jacob would spend many a night talking about things around the town and about Kydar's homeland Subrosia. The two also often spared in the middle of town drawing almost everyone in Saria to watch the two spar. Neither one would ever win, but the two excited the crowd none the less. Jacob even learned that Kydar was well versed at Necromancy. Although Jacob himself didn't like the thought of Necromancy he made sure to tell Kydar not to practice on any sentient creature in Saria. Then one day two years later Jacob found a Hylian girl named Lily Whitestone and the two fell in love. After only a month of dating the two were wed and Jacob had a wife. Together Jacob and Lily had a child and lived a happy life in Saria.

Until three years later Kakariko Village was attacked. A battered and maimed messenger ran into the Saria Town Guard Barracks and started shouting about how Kakariko Village had been attacked. Shortly after delivering his message the messenger collapsed on the floor. His last word was a name. Ganon. The messenger then went limp having died from the wounds he had suffered. Jacob and two Heavy Armor Guards brought the body and the message to the mayor. The message and name almost gave the mayor a heart attack. Without delay the mayor ordered a full evacuation of the town to the Western Caves. The evacuation was going smoothly with only a few stragglers refusing to leave the town. Jacob told Lily and Kydar to get out of Saria while they could, but they insisted on staying. Eventually Jacob agreed to let them stay.

A few days after the evacuation was started an army of Moblins and Stalfos started marching towards the town. Jacob mobilized the rest of the Town Guard left to buy the evacuation some time. Lily hid in the Town Guard barracks after sending their child with one of Lily's friends without telling Jacob. Kydar grabbed a suit of plate armor that was his size and an axe and stood with the other town guards and the three airborne troopers. As the Moblin and Stalfos closed in Jacob let out a loud battle cry and his Wyvern rose into the air. The other town guards let out a similar roar and started charging the on coming onslaught.

The battle was going for the town guards at the beginning. But slowly the town guards started decreasing in number. Wave after wave of Moblins and Stalfos kept charging the town. Jacob flying over the town dropping bombs on large groups of Moblins and Stalfos got a birds eye view of the battle. Meanwhile below Kydar was surrounded by Moblins but kept swinging his axe at the right places at the right times to keep the Moblins from overrunning him, but he wasn't able to keep that up much longer. Watching with horror from the sky Jacob saw Kydar get swarmed by Moblins and fall under a pile of them. Jacob tried to fly down towards Kydar but an arrow hit one of Eysseth's wings and the Wyvern started flying in circles away from the town, finally crashing into a hill a couple of miles away from the town. After fighting it long enough to pull himself and his Wyvern under some cover Jacob blacked out.

After Jacob awoke he woke up Eysseth and patched up his wing as best he could. After doing all he could he mounted the Wyvern and flew back to Saria to find the town burnt to the ground, not a single building left standing. Looking through the rubble he found a necklace that him wife had always worn. Jacob looked up to the sky with tears in his eyes and started cursing the Goddesses for keeping him away from his wife in her final moments. Filled with sorrow and anger at himself and the Goddesses he mounted Eysseth and started flying high enough in the sky not to be noticed by and Moblins or Stalfos on the ground. As he flew he gazed in horror at the ruins of the other cities and cursed the Goddesses again for letting a thing as evil as Ganon walk the earth.

For the next 12 years Jacob roamed the Northern Fields punishing himself for the deaths of his wife, child, best friend, and the town he had sworn to protect. Until he came across a group of three Stalfos harassing a group of merchants. He landed Eysseth on one of the Stalfos as hard as he could and jumped off and sliced off the second one's head as Eysseth beat the third one with his tail. The merchants were grateful to Jacob and offered him a multitude of items for his services, but he declined feeling satisfied with saving a few lives to make up for the hundreds if not thousands that he couldn't save. He has spent his time until now trying to reconcile for his past mistakes.

Great Job Ultra, I love it, especially the wyvren. Very awesome how you tied in to Ruto, that was very fun to read. There are a few spelling errors and things such as that, that you may want to fix, but other than that it was great.

Wait... wait a second. This character doesn't have a crafting profession, thus he is unable to craft items from magic-tier materials like Goron Iron. On that note, it's currently impossible to "reinforce" a sword with Goron Iron to any benefit, unless you just completely replaced the blade with a blade made from Goron Iron.

Considering this, I have no idea how Jacob COULD have accomplished what you claim. I suggest you either explain to me how it is possible, or revert these changes.

For the Jagon Event that Jacob participated in his sword was remade I should say using Goron Iron.

By who. Only someone with an appropriately-leveled crafting profession can make any item from a material such as Goron Iron.

To clarify, although the reward says that a weapon may be changed to Deku Ironwood or Goron Iron, you must still roleplay your character receiving said reward, as is true of any other quest reward (since the Jagon Event is over, you can incorporate this into any current, or future quests you may do). However, in the case of this reward, a player-controlled crafter is not necessary in order to have your weapon or armor upgraded. As long as your weapon is feasibly upgraded within a quest, there are no other requirements to receiving this reward.

...Ah, I see. I neglected to include the special condition of the Jagon quest. I offer my apologies. Nonetheless, I'd like to emphasis that this is not normally the case with materials.
