"H-Huh?" Rika groggily spoke, as Wollo the Octorock stood by his side, nudging him with his snout. Rika had been asleep, after a night's adventure with Boris the Deku. Rika and Wollo were resting the night at Boris' house, which was free, compared to the inn. Of course, Rika had more then enough rupees to afford the inn, but it was still nice to sleep for free. Upon noticing he had awakened, Wollo stopped shaking Rika slightly, jumping down. "Uh. . . Dere be uh. . . dees. . . uh. . . dis. . . dis-tur. . . bence. . . Oh yes, dis-tur-bence! Wollo somewhat hastily spoke, spacing the parts of disturbance up. He didn't exactly pronounce it right, but Rika understood what he meant. "Disturbance? What's wrong, Wollo? Where's the disturbance?" Rika curiously questioned, if still in a daze. While Wollo spoke, Rika got up, kind of making sure his hair wasn't crazy. Although he was still wearing most of his clothing, he had took the main outer layer of his red clothes off, and his hat. He started putting the clothes on as Wollo continued.

"Uh, dese guys, dey uh. Dey yell and Wollo get scared. Wollo hear fight." As Wollo finished speaking, Rika was mostly finished getting ready. He had appropriately finished dressing, now clothed in his attire. His hat, however, was still off. Among this were his weapons, too. "Oh don't worry Wollo, I'm sure they're not going to bother you or anything." Then, Rika heard them. They were shouting fairly loud, too. One of them clearly made a threat to beat the other guy up. "Then again, they are being fairly loud, and this is a peaceful town. . . Let's go see how we can help." Rika spoke, smiling at Wollo.

He attached his daggers and their sheathes to his side, in the form similar to a belt. However, unlike a belt, it was barely noticeable. It didn't squeeze extremely tightly or hold his pants up either. Of course, it was still tight enough to where it was in no danger of falling off. Attached to his back was his black scythe. How it attaches is a mystery, but there's probably a small string or something of that sort. Now fully attired, Rika grabbed his hat with one hand.

"Let's find out what's up." He placed the hat on his head as he walked outside. Wollo, if somewhat more cautiously, followed, the edges of his mustache hitting the sides of the doorway as he left. He properly closed the door behind him, pushing it closed with his snout. Upon getting outside, Rika didn't immediately notice any sort of problem. He scanned the area with his eyes, finding no such guys in sight.

However, this quickly changed, as one guy ran out of the alley, another guy following. He had taken a swing at the other guy with his fist, but the other guy missed. The other guy, the one that had run out of the alley first, spoke. "H-Hey, just take it easy, pal! I didn't do anything!" He spoke, shaking his hands in front of him rather nervously. "I told you to leave me alone, but you just wouldn't!" He hastily responded, if a bit short tempered too.

Rika looked at both of them. The one that ran out of the alleyway first was somewhat tall, at least to Rika's standards. He was about 5'7", it seemed like. His head seemed mostly shaved, with only a small layer of hair over it. He seemed to wear clothing befitting that of an upper class Hylian in Castle Town, strangely. He looked to be old, about 45.

The other guy appeared to be a generic soldier. He was a bit taller then the other guy, around 5'9". He wore light armor, with a small helm. He had a longsword on his back, which wasn't even kept in a sheath. It was kind of dangerous, as the entire blade was bladed. As Rika quickly skimmed over them, he said something if a little loudly to Wollo. "Well, looks like my kind of problem."

A small crowd had started to form, as the knight-like guy was making quite a bit of noise. Rika waved his hand over to them, shouting. "Uh, hey, mind keeping it down a bit?" He shouted, although it was more of a demand rather then a question. The warrior stopped in his tracks, slowly turning to face the Kokiri. He had somewhat of a face that said "What a kid". "Look kid, just shut up and go mind your own business. This is grown up stuff." He yelled at Rika if somewhat angrily. Wollo kind of flinched at the yelling, backing up into the corner. Rika just stood in place, not even moving.

"Yeah well, Y'See." Rika responded, a smirk quickly growing on his face. Oh how glad he was that the warrior said that. "It kinda is my business. I was in there asleep, and your noise woke me up. I like sleeping, so you've made me a little grumpy." Rika continued, the smirk fading slightly. It still lingered on his face, however. Technically, Wollo had woken Rika up, but Wollo only did so because of their disturbance. So indirectly, they woke Rika up. The warrior looked at Rika like he was crazy.

As if he was a foolish little boy who just ran his mouth and would dare to talk back to the powerful warrior that he was. In a way, Rika was. However, he was still far from it, too. "So I'll ask again. Please," He spoke, saying the please rather heavily. Then Rika continued the sentence with with, "Keep it down." As Rika finished his sentence, the warrior still looked at him like he was crazy. The other man was simply standing still, watching the ongoing scene.

"Listen, boy. You just leave and ignore us, or I'll have to treat you like a man. Like him." The warrior responded. This prompted Rika's smirk to return, growing wider then before. "I'm so glad you said that. So, let's go, man." Rika replied, a bit of sarcasm evident in his last sentence. Rika was highly enjoying the scene, and although a fight after just waking up wasn't his preference, it shouldn't be very hard. The warrior seemed kind of shocked at his response, even. This child was challenging his might? He didn't fight children, but he had challenged him. He could not refuse, his honor would be ruined.

"Very well kid, but don't cry for your mommy when it gets serious!" He slid his sword out, making a heroicly terribly pose. "That's kind of. . . lame. Anyway, swords? I guess I can use my specialty, too." The warrior quickly charged at Rika, but before he was even halfway towards Rika was sent flying across the ground. Rika's arm was outstretched, his palm open. Sending the warrior flying back was a ball of wind, spinning around within the ball. He had been knocked back several feet. The ball of wind cut at his chest armor slightly, however, no damage was done to the steel.

"W-What is this witchcraft?!" He yelled, surprised. "Wait, never seen a Sorcerer, before? Oh, I'm also a Kokiri." Rika responded. The warrior was highly shocked, running away in fear. While doing so he shouted, "H-He was right!" Rika sighed at that. He was actually looking forward to the fight, but alas, it wouldn't be. "Idiot." Rika somewhat quietly said, facepalming to himself. Seeing him run away, Wollo walked out towards Rika, having avoided the danger. What did he mean by he was right, however? With that guy gone, Rika turned to the other guy, who jumped when he noticed Rika had spotted him.

"U-Um! Sorry about the noise, he attacked me! . . .You seem pretty strong though, maybe you'd be interested. Plus, the reward would be more to your liking." The mention of it piked Rika's interests. "Interested in what? I might, depending on what it is." Rika curiously responded. The thought of a reward interested him too. But what could it be?

"Well, I don't know if you know, but they're starting construction on a new town on the base of the Eastern Sea, north of Death Mountain, called Impa." He spoke. "Actually, this is the first I've heard of it. What about, it though?" Rika asked. Did it have something to do with it? Wollo slowly nudged forward, sitting beside Rika. He released a small Octorock-like yawn, if that was even possible. His snout squinted as he did this, creating somewhat of a funny face. Wollo was still a little tired, having just woke up. He was already up, and his sleep time was over for now.

The guy continued his request, after Rika's question. "Yes. I uh, I have a sick daughter who lives on the outskirts of Impa. My brother is taking care of her, but I want to go visit her. However, I can't fight, and it'd be dangerous for me to go by myself. That's why I would like to request you to escort me there. That's what I asked that uh. . . gentleman back there about, but he just got angry at me." He spoke, but before Rika could respond, he quickly added something on. "Oh but, of course there will be payment! I'll give you this spell book. It only teaches one spell, but it's an advanced spell." He finished, before giving Rika a chance to respond.

"Hmm. Alright, sounds fun. I'm Rika, and this is Wollo. You are?" Rika curiously asked, Wollo glancing up at the mention of his name. "I'm Owain. I'm not in a major rush to head out, but we should still leave pretty soon, just so it doesn't get too late to leave." He responded. "Sure, but me and Wollo haven't eaten anything yet, considering we just woke up. If we could get a quick bite to eat, we can head off." Rika spoke, Wollo's tummy making a low-sounding growling noise at the mention of food.

"Wollo is hungry." Wollo solemnly said, if a little quietly to himself. Rika started walking forward, Wollo quickly following. The man walked behind, following him. Rika eventually reached a small shop, with a couple buckets on the shelf. Walking up to it, there was a somewhat elderly man at the front. Upon noticing Rika, he waved at the Kokiri with one of his hands. "Well hello there. Can I help you with anything?" Rika looked in a couple of the buckets. It was mostly fruit; Apples, oranges, and peaches. There wasn't much variation, but they looked great.

"Yeah, I'll take. . . A couple peaches, four apples, and two oranges." Rika gathered the various fruits, handing the man a few rupees for them. Rika then walked away, carrying the fruits. Wollo and Owain followed, until they stopped as Rika found a place to retire. Rika set two apples and a peach down, as Wollo started chewing on the peach. "You want one?" Rika inquired towards Owain, as he started peeling an orange. "Sure, I'll take an orange." He took the orange, and too started peeling it.

The group eventually finished eating, as they headed towards the town's eastern border. They headed east, towards the Eastern Sea, and where Impa was being constructed.

"So Owain, got any plans for when you get there?" Rika curiously inquired. "W-Well. . ." He seemed to be hiding something, or as if thinking what to say. He finally responded, however, as Owain said, "I don't really have any plans, I was just going to visit my daughter." He said rather quickly. "S-So, what about you? Did you have any plans?" He quickly spoke, changing the subject.

Rika looked at him a little suspiciously, but still responded. ". . . No, not really. I didn't have anything in mind to do, and then you popped up." Rika slowly responded, but then went back to normal. The group, consisting of Rika, Wollo, and Owain, had left Nabooru earlier that morning. Their destination was the construction site of Impa, which was on the border of the Eastern Sea. They had been travelling for a couple hours, and were making good time. Of course, Rika had traveled Northern Hyrule Field quite a bit, so the path was normal to him. He was used to it, so they probably wouldn't waste much time traveling. They were pretty far in, if almost one-fourth the way there. It was still bright and early outside, considering they left early in the day.

At this rate, assuming there were no major interruptions, they should make it to Impa before nightfall.

As they continued traveling, they came across a group of travelers themselves. It was about 3 PM, and they were around halfway there. So far, there had been no interruptions, and they had been moving smoothly. However, then they encountered other travelers. Considering the space of Hyrule Field, encountering other travelers wasn't exactly common, but it wasn't rare. It was a group of two people, if rather small. Then again, Rika's group was two people, not counting Wollo, who was an Octorock.

They had been heading southeast, most likely coming from Castle Town. The group's paths had intertwined, so they had collided with each other. One of them wore armor. It wasn't anything special, simply light chainmail. He did not appear to wear a helm, however. The other one didn't, and simply wore normal pedestrian clothing. They had a sword in a sheath attached to their backs, so they were probably warriors of some short. As they neared each other, Rika lightly waved his hand in the air, speaking, "Hey." It was mostly to be polite. Seeing they appeared to be heading in the same general direction, the other guy asked, "Oh, hi! Where are you two going?" Rika looked over at the question. "Oh, towards Impa." Barely a second after he finished his sentence, the other guy responded. "Oh, us too! We should travel together." He seemed insistent, getting close to the group.

". . .Well, more people to talk to makes this more fun, I guess." He said. Owain didn't really respond to the situation, but didn't say no towards it. He seemed in a mood as if something he was expecting hadn't happened. And so the two warriors joined the group, as they continued to travel there, making Rika slowly more frustrated. Soon, it was nightfall. It wasn't necessarily very late, but it was certainly dark. The group hadn't had very much trouble, but if anything that simply made things more boring. Until now.

At a moment's notice, a Lynel was darting straight towards the group. The centaur-like creature held a sword in the air, as it rushed the group. Rika noticed it very shortly before it struck, barely having time to warn the group. Seconds after he said something the Lynel swarmed through the group. The warriors barely had time to draw their swords, as the warrior fired a Power Beam out of his blade. It struck and pierced through the unarmored warrior, vanishing. The unarmored warrior now had an open wound equivalent to that of a normal sword stab. He collapsed to the ground, the other warrior quickly jumping. "Oh no! If only he had worn armor!" Remember kids, melee classes should wear armor.

Rika quickly grabbed his scythe, holding it in front of him. This was essentially the first battle of the entire day, but it wasn't an easy one. Lynel were known for being tough enemies to beat. Why was one randomly attacking them, anyway? Had they unknowingly provoked it, or entered some sort of territory of it's? Lynel weren't necessarily territorial, but this one could be. Rika didn't have time to think, Lynel were quick and strong. He had to focus on the battle, or he'd slowly wipe them all out.

The Lynel seemed to pay little attention to Rika, however, going for the other warrior. "Damn it!" Rika shouted, reaching for one of his daggers with his right hand. Quickly pulling it out, he threw it at the Lynel. Due to being primarily left handed and the immediate rushing, the throw wasn't exactly a perfect throw. However, it still did it's job, hitting the Lynel on the back. The centaur turned around, glaring at Rika. "Yeah, let's fight asshole."

The Lynel rushed towards Rika, as he gripped his scythe with both hands. Diving to the side as the Lynel got close, it's blade and strength pushed Rika back even further. It knocked Rika back more, but he took this opportunity to push himself up slightly so he wasn't stunned upon landing. Holding his palm out as the Lynel dashed by, a spell of Ice fired out, sweeping the Lynel's feet and causing his back feet to become frozen to the ground. It wasn't particularly strong ice holding him, but it would freeze long enough.

Quickly following this, Rika unleashed a Wind spell, aimed towards the base of the Lynel's body. The Lynel was rather focused with un-freezing it's feet, and didn't expect a follow-up spell immediately. The spell knocked the Lynel back, while knocking it out of the ice. However, as it's feet were held by the ice, the Wind spell effectively injured it's feet. The Lynel tried to take a step forward but in attempting to do so simply felt a pain in it's back legs. It decided to retreat for now, since it had the disadvantage.

". . . Good thing I managed to make it flee, that could've been plenty worse." Rika said to himself as he stood up. Looking over to the group, the warrior was still clutching the other warrior's body. ". . . You know, he's not dead or anything. If you hurry and go to a nearby town a doctor might be able to help him." The warrior quickly picked the injured warrior up. "Thank you, shall we-" He started a speech-like sentence, but was quickly cut off by Rika. "Yeah yeah whatever hurry up before he dies." The warrior quickly started running towards a town.

Rika looked over to Wollo and Owain. "You guys alright?" Wollo looked up at Rika. "Uhh. . . Wollo okay." Wollo seemed to have to think about it, though. Owain didn't answer, and seemed. . . A bit depressed, if anything. ". . . Hey, you alright?" Rika asked him, causing him to shake his head and laugh a bit. "Y-Yeah. . . Just a little scared, I. . . guess. . ." He seemed a little bit un-certain. ". . . Well, anyway, we should hurry up and continue. It's getting later by the minute, and the Lynel could return with reinforcements." And so, the group, now once again diminished to three, continued towards the Impa Construction Site. As they continued, they could see it in the distance.

The group had finally reached Impa! For the most part, it seems a lot of the construction had been finished. "Well, we're finally here. Do you know where your brother's house is?" Rika asked the man. "Er, yeah. . . B-But maybe we should wait! My daughter and brother are probably asleep, we can stay at an inn tonight, a-and see them tomorrow!" He somewhat hastily said. ". . . Well, alright. I'm pretty beat anyway, all that walking." The three headed for the inn, renting a room for the night.

Wollo was quickly fast asleep, snoozing on the bed. "So hey, Owain." Rika spoke to him, as the man turned to the Kokiri. "There's something you're hiding from me. What is it?" Rika bluntly asked, forcing Owain to jump in surprise. "W-What do you mea-" He stammered, but was interrupted by Rika. "Don't play games with me. You've been acting funny ever since we met. Maybe it's none of my business, but I'd appreciate if you'd tell me the whole story."

The man was in a small silence for a moment. ". . . Alright. I had wanted to die on the journey here. You see, I'm a fairly rich man. I would like to give my money to my daughter, but my greedy ex-wife will just take it all since my daughter is still young. However, in my will it leaves all my money to my daughter. My ex-wife can't take it then. I can't give it to her and just stay to make sure the wife doesn't do anything because. . . I have an awful alcohol problem. I get drunk easily and when I do I hit things. I don't want to be around my daughter with that, to have that effect her. . . So please, Rika, this is why I'm asking you. I'm going to kill myself, but I want you to say that someone murdered me. Please, I'm begging you." He spoke with sadness in his voice.

Rika was silent for a moment, clenching his fist. ". . . Sorry, but I can't do that. Suicide's never an option with me. I can see how you could reach that, but. . . It still doesn't solve anything! So your daughter has the money, she doesn't have a father! Do you think she would be happy. . . knowing her father's dead?! Forget about your ex-wife! If you're concerned with her stealing the money, then be with your daughter! Forget about the alcohol! I know it's tough, but. . . It's infinitely a better solution then suicide. . . Just. . . I can't let you do that." Rika responded, if somewhat shouting slightly in a couple sentences. The man was silent for a second, before running his hand through his hair. "Ha. . . Hahahahaha. . . Y-You're right. . . What was I even thinking?" The man sadly spoke.

"Well, I'm sorry for giving you all this trouble then, Rika. Oh, I owe you a spell book, don't I?" He said, pulling out a blue spell book and setting it on Rika's bed. "Well, the job isn't over yet." Rika said. The mood had somewhat changed. "Yes, well, go ahead and take it anyway." Rika looked at the book. It was somewhat big. If anything it seemed rather rare and expensive. "Alright, fine. . . Anyway, we should probably sleep." Rika set the book next to his scythe, daggers, and some clothing.

The next day, Rika and Owain went to visit Owain's brother and daughter. Owain's daughter was so excited to see him, it had been several months since Owain left. She cried a lot, and Owain cried too. It was a really nice moment, Rika was really glad he decided to help out Owain. A little girl was made happy, and so was Owain. You couldn't help but be happy for it, anyway. Well, now that Rika was in Impa, what would he do? He could help out. Oh, but first! Rika read a little bit of the spell book before he would help out with Impa, and learned the spell Aqua Grenade. There was more to the book, but he would save it for later.
