    Character Information
    Name: Horus Falconer.
    Age: 24.
    Gender: Male.
    Race: Hylian.
    Place of Origin: Ikana.
    PWC: 3/2/4.

    Class: Swordsman.
    Alignment: Neutral Good.

    Skills, Spells, and Abilities
    Racials
    - Sense: Perhaps due to his dangerous circumstances, Horus has learned to sense hostile intentions. When a hostile presence is near, Horus becomes besieged by a headache, which gets worse as the presence draws closer.
    - Spin Attack: Taught to Horus by his father before he passed away, the Spin Attack is a basic ability that allows Horus to unleash whatever magic he has in his body through his sword, while spinning in place.

    Magic
    - Needle Storm: Using his limited magical talents, Horus flicks his wrist, conjuring up a needle between two bent fingers. He can conjure up up to three needles this way, before throwing them.

    Miscellaneous
    - Lovers' Bond {Luna}: Horus' love for Luna is rooted so deeply that it has affected his psyche. He can sense it if she's in danger and he always knows where she is relative to himself.

    Inventory
    Weapons
    - Sword: Horus' primary weapon is the sword he inherited from his father. It's a normal, well-used and well-balanced sword, with the name of Pierce Falconer engraved just above the hilt.
    - Crossbow: When enemies are so far away Horus' sword can't reach or so powerful that melee range is dangerous, Horus resorts to his crossbow. He's far from a crack shot, though.
    - Dagger: With a hilt made out of Glow Iron, Horus' dagger double-serves as a torch. However, it's also a perfectly usable weapon. Horus often double-wields it together with his sword.

    Mobility-related
    - Grappling Hook: A simple three-pronged hook attached to a good couple yards of sturdy rope. Horus' Grappling Hook is one of his most used tools in scaling the sometimes treacherous Ikanan terrain.
    - Roc's Feather: A ragged-looking, but clean brown feather. When Horus sticks it behind his ear, it allows him to jump much higher or farther than he usually could.

    Miscellaneous
    - Rebirth Stone: A diamond-shaped, pearly white stone that Luna and Frederick both say radiates an uncanny, but non-hostile kind of magic.

    Roleplay Information
    Residence:
It doesn't deserve the name of house, but Horus, Luna, Bertrand and Frederick take shelter in an old ruin whenever it rains or snows. With a couple of makeshift beds, it's the closest thing to a residence they have in Ikana, although they're rarely found there with clear skies- normally, they wander Ikana in groups of two or with the four of them.
    Acquaintances:
    - Luna: Horus' closest companion and alleged girlfriend. A young ice mage with severe communication issues but a brilliant mind.
    - Bertrand (NPC): A friend and subordinate of Horus' late father, and Horus' godfather and mentor. Taught him most of what he knows about fighting. Equipped with a Goron Iron battleaxe, a broadsword, and several pieces of armor.
    - Frederick (NPC): One of Horus' allies. A former scholar, now versatile sorcerer loyal to Horus. Attempts and usually fails to keep Horus' aggressive behavior in check. Masters several spells under which Arcane Bolt, Fire and Rejuvenation.
    - Pierce Falconer (Deceased): Horus' late father. He commanded a group of warriors that devoted themselves to keeping Rauru safe up until Ganon's attack. Horus' coat and sword are heirlooms of Pierce and even beyond the grave he is a great influential power in his son's life.
    - Alison Falconer (Deceased): Horus' late mother. Loved not only by Pierce but also by Bertrand, Alison was the Light Priestess who was often tasked with the care for the wounded amongst Pierce's warriors. Once pregnant with Horus she stepped out of the order, though, wedding Pierce instead.

    Personal information
    Height: 5 foot 8.
    Weight: 140 lbs.
    Appearance:
Considering his less-than-ideal living conditions, it’s rather impressive how healthy and fit Horus manges to appear. His body is in perfect condition and he appears well-fed and well-groomed, despite not really having anyone he wants to show off to. He just feels it would do the memory of his parents a disservice if he looked like a ReDead while alive. Apparently he was never taught the concept of the golden road inbetween.

Horus’ hair is a bright red color and he keeps it at a length just under his ears, miraculously rather neat for hair that is cut by himself. He has no fringe, wanting his hair out of his blue eyes at all times. His eyes are one of the few surefire ways to read him. Horus miraculously bears no physical scars whatsoever, neither visible or invisible, and has the normal, pointed ears all Hylians do.

Even disregarding his red hair, Horus is easily recognized amongst the Ikanan refugees due to his trademark, long black coat. He is rarely if ever seen without it, for it, the sword on his waist, the dagger in his boot and the crossbow on his back were all once owned and used by his late father. Under the coat, Horus’ wardrobe is unimpressive; he normally settles for dark, long-sleeved shirts and black pants.

    Personality:
Many would say that there is but one thing one must know about Horus, and that is that he is an intolerable, heartless and arrogant man. They would be correct, but only partially. It is certainly true that Horus’ lack of restraint in showing his anger, combined with his tendency to get angry very easily, make him a difficult person to get along with. He is brutally honest and has no love for beating around the bush- Horus cuts straight to the point with a sharp knife.

Horus’ temper is best described as violent. Possessing little in the way of patience and restraint, his default solution to most problems and frustrations is violence, most often in the form of his sword or the swifter response that his kicks, his second most used form of attack, allow for. In actual combat, Horus is ruthless, his fighting guided by an almost animalistic instinct that he can be argued to have developed due to living in Ikana.

Despite all this, however, Horus has a decidedly softer side to him. It is plain to see that he dearly loves his female companion Luna, often showing concern for her even if it’s not really necessary, overreacting to seeing her in potential danger, and being overly protective of her despite knowing that she can take care of herself and being the swiftest to point this out to anyone else wanting to protect her. It can be said that Horus leans towards possessiveness of the ice mage, something he denies when told. While it isn’t unheard of for Horus to snap at Luna, normally he speaks to her much more softly and treats her with much more care than he does anyone else.

Interesting to note is that Horus’ godfather Bertrand has wondered out loud how Horus would have been had he been allowed to grow up in Rauru rather than Ikana. This leads to the possibility that the foul-tempered, foul-mouthed and violent Horus we see today is little more than a product of his hostile environment and a defensive mechanism to cope with the loss of his parents.

Horus will never admit this to anyone, but his main dream and goal at the moment is to move out of Ikana, possibly to wherever in Hyrule it’s safe, and start a family with Luna there.

    Story
    Backstory:
Horus was born not too long before Ganon attacked Southern Hyrule, and until the attack, lived with his parents in Rauru rather peacefully. When hell broke out, though, they were amongst the first to flee town and directly away from Death Mountain. Horus couldn’t say he understood, but he knew that if his parents panicked like they did at the time, he had better do as they said.

Whereas many fled east, Horus’ family, along with a group of twenty able-bodied men and women, decided that only so many people could be accommodated in the Eastern Caves and instead continued their flight south.

On their flight, they came across a girl, several years younger than Horus himself. She was alone, and injured. Most of the men and women ignored her, too focused on their own escape. Maybe it was Horus’ lack of understanding of the situation, or his youthful innocence, but he broke away from the others to try and help the girl up. His mother tried to convince him to leave her behind, but Horus refused.

It wasn’t the first time the boy displayed the stubbornness he would later be well-known for, but it was certainly the first time he displayed it to this extent. In the end, Horus’ father realized that if they were going to argue it for much longer they would lose their head start on Ganon’s troops and gave him his way, thinking that if the girl slowed them down they could always leave her behind later. Unaware of this thinking, Horus stuck with her, taking responsibility for his decision and keeping her at the front of their group.

He was sure they’d have to turn around when they happened upon mountains, and with him were many others, but his father reminded them that if they turned back they’d be headed straight into the arms of Ganon’s troops and that therefore they had no choice but to try and scale the mountains.

It was not an easy task. Some of Ganon’s flying minions had already reached these mountains and hampered their movements, many of their number falling to either these monsters or the terrain. Horus to this day remembers the moment they reached the Stone Towers though. Chased by a trio of the biggest, most vicious and most hideous birds he had ever seen, his parents and himself found themselves met with a small group of Stalfos.

Horus’ father, a Hylian commander up until the invasion, prepared to fight through the skeletal soldiers, his mother prepared to run with Horus and the girl through the opening that fight would create. Great was their surprise when half the Stalfos drew their bowstrings back, aiming above the heads of the Hylians, and instead opened fire at the birds. The other half of the Stalfos walked past the living, without even paying them any heed, to attack the birds and their backup troops themselves.

The living took this opportunity to flee further, past Stone Tower, and they ended up in Ikana. With more Stalfos and Poes around, the Hylians initially wanted to flee further south, no matter how treacherous the terrain here was. However, these undead seemed to be civil and held little if any hostility towards them. In a flash of courage, Horus’ father stepped up to a Stalfos to ask about the safety of Ikana.

From what he learned, the country of the undead forces was easy to defend for the Skeletal warriors. They did not fear death, anyway, but they kept an impressive track record of keeping unwanted intruders out. In the off chance that they would fail to do so while the living remained there, they were free to retreat to the Stone Towers, which were protected by the mountains they themselves had seen how difficult they were to scale.

After a short meeting of the adults, it was decided that until proof was found Ikana was more dangerous than the outside, they would remain there. Horus and Luna, as he had christened the girl by now, had no say in it, but Horus knew his parents would make the right choice.

However, a land such as Ikana, infested with death, brought something of concern to the living; disease. There weren’t many survivors of the journey through the mountains to being with, and it didn’t take long for Horus’ parents to fall ill. By the time Horus was twelve, only four of their number remained: Horus himself, Luna, his father’s good friend Bertrand and a villager he had never really known up until the escape, Frederick.

Horus was trained by Bertrand for at least half his life. Sword skills of which the basics he had learned from his father, archery with a crossbow, hand-to-hand combat, and Horus might not have excelled in all, but he has a decent mastery in everything he tried. By now, somehow Bertrand and Frederick as well as Luna have come to an unspoken and unanimous decision that Horus, despite his young age, is the leader of the refugees.

Horus aspires to get out of Ikana and into the North, which is safer from Ganon’s influences, but he can never get around to actually moving out.

    RP history
The first count of trouble that Horus has entrusted us with is the time that the armies of Ikana suddenly stopped trimming down the number of Redeads, placing the redhead and his allies at risk. Enraged, Horus took Luna and left for the castle of Ikana, only to be met with a shut gate. Fortunately Luna knew an alternative route into the castle, through the well connecting to the one in the courtyard.

With the Light Priestess Phiorra De'Maluin in tow, the two travelled through the undead-infested well, finding themselves emerging in the courtyard of the castle as Luna had predicted. The Ancient Castle of Ikana itself proved to be a hurdle in and of itself, with the living attacked repeatedly by otherwise rather friendly Stalfos knights. Making their way to the throne room, they fought with King Igos du Ikana himself, finally breaking a curse upon him. They then learned that said curse was making the Stalfos hostile towards the living...

Same thing as with Luna, BP. The PWC must first be determined for the Ikana region before I can pass this.

...because obviously I thought that if that got Luna into trouble it would pass Horus with flying colors. This makes me feel kind of insulted in the intelligence department.
