A small crowd gathered around Ewan in Nabooru as he prepared to sing his song. Ewan was looking for a companion, and what better way to find help than to perform a song? Besides, even if the song failed, he'd still make some rupees from appreciative people who may enjoy his singing. Before the song starts, you must know that this song isn't just for show If you come with me after, you can be a hero Just come see me after and we can prepare to go Now that that's all done I shall finally start the fun! Ewan took out his harp and began strumming on it as he began to sing There once were two men who traveled the plains to fight A fearsome monster, quite a sight They searched bearing weapons A great powerful sword made to fight the monstrous horde Then they laid eyes upon the monster Big, ugly, mad, and hungry they prepared weapons for the charge The monster was skewered on a sword, they had won, the monster was dead satisfied with their work they rode back to town and they said the monster is defeated it is dead! And the people did cheer emptied of fear the heroes had fame as they finally won and rode off to the sun
Eugene wasn't exactly sure why he was in Nabooru or how exactly he had gotten here. He had been trying to get from Lon Lon Ranch to Castle Town, but due to a series of unfortunate accidents, encounters with monsters and caravans not showing up he had somehow ended up in here. When he reached the central square, his attention was drawn to a small crowd. The music coming from the midst of it sounded wonderful, Eugene thought, and he left his cannon at the edge of the crowd, and made his way through the forest of legs. Luckily he was tiny, so he could easily get past the much taller Hylians, and soon he found himself facing the source of the music. It was a young Hylian singer, accompanying himself on a small harp. "My, dear fellow! What a wonderful sound you make!" Eugene said, applauding loudly for the man.
Ewan gave an exaggerated bow. "Why thank you! Thank you! Though I must ask, did you hear me before? What this song was for? There truly is a monster to the Northwest I want someone to come along, the best of the best Together we can slay the beast We shall make it deceased! So, what do you choose? Come with me, or stay here and snooze?"
Eugene stared at the young man, slightly baffled by his odd manner of speech. "O-oh..." He stammered, trying to make sense of his words. "Oh! A monster? ...And you need the best of the best?" Eugene winked playfully at the man. "Then I'm your man of course! I'll be happy to tag along with a jolly fellow like you. Name's Eugene. Eugene Flasheart." He said jovially, holding out his hand for the man to shake. It seemed like his accidental trip to Nabooru wasn't going to be so bad after all.
Ewan shook Eugene's hand enthusiastically. Great my friend Eugene! Ewan is my name! Ewan took back his hand, and realizing he hadn't yet done so, collected the money he had earned from his performance. He turned back to Eugene again afterwards. now that we're ready to play the game do we leave today? Or do we set out on the morrow's day?
"I've got everything with me, but if you want to rest a spell, feel free! You say the word, my friend! ...though I'm afraid I am not as good with rhymes as you are." Eugene said with a light-hearted laugh. As confusing as it had been at first, the man's constant rhyming was quite amusing, he thought. He walked back to his cannon, grabbing hold of its chain once more and started pulling it back in Ewan's direction. "Don't worry, my girl'll keep us safe." He said, patting the cannon affectionately. "Now, where to? The inn or the fields?"
