"Please focus on the enemy!" Autumn called to the Kokiri and the spellcaster, "Not each other!" Phantom Ganon and its steed came out of another painting, this time aiming at Autumn with magic shot from its staff. The Guardian dodged out of the way, but was unable to unleash her shot before the evil spirits returned to their cover in the painting. She suppressed a frustrated cry.

Stjarnstill had been unable to burn the paintings, insinuating they were not real paintings but a magical phenomenon... what exactly where they? There was no time to wonder it, as Phantom Ganon re-appeared once more. Autumn shot in the direction of the painting, intending to get it as it showed up... only for the spirits to turn around and gallop back into the painting.

"Cowa-" She interrupted herself with a scream, being hit in the back by the Arcane Bolt Phantom Ganon fired at her. She fell to her knees, and although she regained her senses and her stance rather quickly, she heard the evil spirits cackling.

Foolish Guardian... You won't stop us. Your blood will make us stronger... This chamber shall be your grave!

"Never!" However, fact remained that Autumn had so far been completely unable to land an arrow in the spirits...

Stjarnstill got up, furious, and sent a Din's burst at the kokiri as a warning. Immediately he snapped to attention as he heard Autumn scream in pain. Nobody hurt his playmates. Nobody.

Keiliegh had managed to dodge the magic spell, but in her dive had slammed her shoulder on one of the railings around the outside of the arena.

Stjarnstill stood in behind Autumn, his back to hers. The horseman galloped between the paintings, until eventually the slightest sliver of him poked out, signaling which was the real one. He cast Din's burst, exploding just as the spirit emerged. He tilted back, staggered, so Stjarnstill jumped up off Autumn's shoulders, landing on the horse's head. The thing had stomped him. It would now die.

The demonic beast neighed at him, but he simply responded by blowing fire right onto it's head. The screams of pain from the minor sprits that made it up were only interrupted by Stjarnstill being hit off the horse by Phantom Ganon. Either way, the deed was done. The horse flew off target and crashed into a pillar dead, making it's rider get off the horse.

Stjarnstill recollected himself and stood next to Autumn. "See? We've got th-" Shock spread over his face as a katar stuck into his back. His cloak had reduced the blow, but that vengeful kokiri! The warlock fell to one knee, clutching his back in massive pain.

"Would the two of you please focus on the enemy?!" With Phantom Ganon robbed of his steed, Autumn saw the spirit just floating a few feet off the ground, rotating his staff several times before sending a spell towards her. Autumn didn't know why she did it- but she took her own sword to hand and struck at the ball of energy soaring towards her.

When the two connected, instead of sending a surge of power through her body, her sword knocked the spell back to Phantom Ganon. The Spirit looked unfazed, simply striking it right back at her with his arm. Now prepared, Autumn kept this exchange up for a few sequences, but then finally managed to land the spell in Phantom Ganon's chest.

It continued to hover, now immobilized, and Autumn wasted no time in burying an arrow in its chest. Roaring in pain (though it still didn't move), it stopped hovering and lowered to the ground. Autumn closed in to attack, but when she came into sword range of it, it suddenly regained the ability to move and slammed the end of its staff into her stomach, knocking the wind out of her as well as sending what seemed to be an electric current through her.

Autumn staggered, while Phantom Ganon rose above her once more. This battle was clearly not over yet.

Stjarnstill chuckled when Autumn was knocked back by the evil spirit. “Autumn, running in blind is a bad idea. Just saying.” The boy knew it was up to him to create an opening for her. He wouldn’t finish it. That was Autumn’s job and why should he abet her being lazy? Stjarnstill spewed flames in a wide arc, blocking himself entirely from view, though he could hear Phantom Ganon charging up an arcane bolt.

At this point Keiliegh had recovered from the impact earlier, and saw the situation. Phantom ganon lobbed his spell, and Stjarnstill drew his knife, slashing it back. “Playing dead man’s volley, eh?” He said, maniacal laughing ringing out. “Well I CHEAT!” With the spell approaching him once more, he threw Din’s burst toward the spirit, then slashed the enemy’s orb back. The timing was perfect. Before Phantom Ganon could hit it back, the flaming orb exploded, making him flinch.

That flinch was all it took for him to lose the game, his body now rippling with electricity. Keiliegh then ran in front of the boy, motioning to Stjarnstill. “I’ll boost you! Hit him!” The warlock shrugged. Oh well, this split second change of heart couldn’t possibly go badly. But shockingly, it didn’t. The kokiri threw Stjarnstill up towards Phantom Ganon by boosting his foot as he ran towards her. With that speed and momentum, he stabbed the spirit in the chest, but the way he landed made Phantom ganon spin out towards the ground, with Stjarnstill landing into a roll. He then prepared Din’s burst, ready to cast just before Autumn attacked their enemy. If it tried to lash out again, he’d stun it. “Now or never, Guardian!”

Finally, the other two started doing something as well. Stjarnstill managed to subdue Phantom Ganon again, and told Autumn to go in and deliver the final blow. Interesting to note was that he used her title, but that was concern for later- right now, the evil spirit was more important.

She closed in, stabbing the spirit through where she believed the heart should be. Finally, a reaction. Phantom Ganon trashed about, pushing her off and to the ground, but she knew he was done. His squirming and trashing was no use anymore, it was a matter of seconds before he would- she pulled up her arms to shield herself from the explosion of power.

When the light faded, literally nothing was left of the evil spirit. Autumn got to her feet, a little wobbly but overall okay, and bend forward to pick up her sword. "So that's over..." As she looked closer though, she saw that a trove of rupees had been lying about where the spirit had disappeared. Shrugging, she helped herself to a few- she didn't know what she'd do with them, but worst-case scenario they were remnants of the evil and would lead her to more spirits like it. Best-case scenario they were perfectly mundane and would serve as currency.

Stjarnstill chuckled as Autumn fished through the rupees. He picked up a ten rupee, putting it into his own pocket. Keiliegh did the same before she heard a familiar voice. “Thou hath done well Keiliegh...” It was the great deku tree. “Thine bravery hath saved the forest once more. We now welcome you home again.” Keiliegh looked confused until a strange noise rang out from seemingly everywhere. Her body began dissipating into leaves. Before her head vanished though, she looked at Stjarnstill. “...Stjarny, you’re a dick.” She said, sneering at him before she fully vanished.

The warlock then leaned against a pillar. “Well now, Autumn, we’re all alone again. Going to use this opportunity to shoot me in the head now that you don’t need me or is there some sort of honor under that stoic face?”

"You are not one to speak of honor, Stjarnstill." Autumn looked at the place where the Kokiri had disappeared from. She must have been well acquainted with a Forest Spirit of some sort if she could do that. "I would rather not spill any more blood in this room. I don't want to risk another conglomeration of evil spirits." She turned around. "I'm going to escort you out of the Temple. If you don't follow though, there WILL be consequences."

As the Guardian and the fire sorcerer left, a bunch of Fairies appeared out of niches and walls and behind statues, floating to the middle and just hanging above the place where Phantom Ganon had disappeared. "She has what it takes," one chattered in a very high-pitched voice, "she took on that cluster practically by herself."

"She did need the help of that kid and the Forest Child to finish the job though..." another chimed with a bell-like voice.

A third Fairy, with a deep voice that seemed rather uncharacteristic of his kind, stepped in. "Those two hardly did anything more than attack each other. Given time, the Guardian could have destroyed it on her own."

"Maybe we could send both her and the fire mage?" the first Fairy said, shutting the other two into silence. None of the remaining Fairies chimed in, so the high-pitched Fairy shook from side to side. "We shall wait, then. If she proves herself capableonce more, however, I won't listen to any talking back anymore and I will inform her."

The other fairies made a nodding gesture, all at once, and dispersed once more, leaving only their leader in the middle of the room. The leader, too, took off towards the ground floor after a few seconds of hanging still in pensive thought.
