With a new winter season comes changes in the daily life of all in Hyrule, whether that change bring chilling hardship or heartwarming joy. There is much to see, do, and overcome, and no shortage of chances. Indeed, all will find new opportunities in the frigid Hyrule.

Many new “Mini-Quests” are now available. These are, like the name implies, miniature versions of normal quests on HC. They have a beginning, objective, and an end or resolution to that objective in some fashion, as is normal for a quest. However, unlike normal quests, there are a few key differences.

First, unlike normal quests, they are much shorter in length. They can typically be resolved in a handful of posts(typically around 3-8, though varying depending on the quest and number of players), but it must still follow normal quest rules of having a proper flow from beginning to end.

Second, the quest “objective” or prompt, rather than being created entirely on the player’s own, is given beforehand. However, players may add onto or develop it in any way they wish, and should not feel restricted by it. As a simple example, if the player is given the prompt “Kill a Moblin”, they can approach it many different ways, whether that be by fighting the Moblin head-on, assassinating it in its sleep, attempting to fight it and failing the objective entirely, or something else altogether- these are all acceptable resolutions.

Finally, unlike normal quests, mini-quests have a base reward of 10 Rupees per character. Some mini-quests may come with additional rewards depending on the mini-quest or its resolution.

In addition, some mini-quests may become unlocked due to the resolution or method of resolution of another mini-quest, or some other factors. Some mini-quests may also become unavailable for various reasons, and upon becoming unavailable will become uncompletable.

While players are allowed to complete mini-quests solo, it is highly recommended that mini-quests be done in groups of 2 or more. A character is only able to complete an individual mini quest once.

When a Winter Mini-Quest is COMPLETED, post a reply to the Winter Mini-Quest Completion Thread for approval.

These Mini-Quests are available to start until March 31st.
