...This is pretty much a logistics thread. Out-of-character discussion regarding the Deku Brigade should be done here.

Dubbed the Deku Brigade, this organization is not unlike a guild for those who remember such things from Hylian Shield. Though it has yet to form in the role-play itself, there are already several characters whose players' have plans to make them a part of this.

The Deku Brigade has one overall intent in creation: To form a tightly-knit group of Deku Scrubs, Mad Scrubs, and Business Scrubs who, with their strengths combined, are a potent force the likes of which few have ever witnessed firsthand.

Their second purpose is to use the force they have created to not only strategically overtake and hinder the actions of Ganons forces, but seek out their own individual goals with the power gained through their Deku comrades.

Towards this end, there are several lesser goals which must be reached:
    Goals (open)
    1. The characters must, in the context of the role-play, met up and decide to found the Brigade. (This will most likely be done in Nabooru, as the major characters are already heading there and a few more are nearby in Castle-Town.) After that, additional members--mostly in the form of previously-known contacts--will be influenced to join as well.

    2. The construction of a Great Deku Flying Machine (GDFM), a wooden airborne legendary vehicle which will be constructed by Dante the Woodworker and supported with funds and fuel collected by the Brigade. This vehicle will remain in the sky at virtually all times and, while mobile, will serve effectively as both the Brigade's home base and long-distance transportation. Over time, it will be armed with cannons and other weaponry. It is intended for each member of the Deku Brigade to have some a means of transportation to and from the GDFM (ideally something like Farore's Wind, but even Korok Copter can be acceptable).

    3. The acquisition of wooden commshells, each bearing the insignia of Deku. One of these will be held by each member at all times, and they will serve as the primary method of long-distance communication between members.

    4. The crafting of unique armor, catered to each members' specific tastes in armor or attire, which combines the effects of Zora and Goron Armor to overcome the "weaknesses" of Scrubs' plant composition. This will most likely be done by Sienna the armorer, and again founded in part by the Brigade.

    5. Other awesome shit.

The characters who are currently expected to join are as follows:
    Members (open)
    Guy Orion Denzrita III (Guy)
    Roles: Captain, Reconnaissance

Being one of many contacts, Guy is known by more members than any of the other members of the legion. This, combined with his vast adventuring experience, knowledge of combat, and decisive nature, make him out to be an excellent captain.

Outside of this, he is known to be very stealthy and proficient in not only combat but the gathering of information as well, having even spent several years of his life as a professional spy. For this reason, he will also serve as the main reconnaissance unit and scout for the Brigade.

His motivations to form this group are to further satisfy his desire for adventure, and aid his closest comrade, Dante.

    Dante T. Silvaros (WillowtheWhisp)
    Role: Woodworking Engineer

With his vast expertise on the construction of flying craft, as well as his wondrous ability to shape wood, Dante functions as the Brigade's primary Engineer. He will be the one who constructs the GDFM, and also the one who takes care of repairs or upgrades. In addition, he will perhaps also work to supply the Brigade with other smaller wooden aircraft to get to and from the GDFM, or provide other wooden tools such as the commshells.

His motivations for forming this brigade are primarily to see Ganon's armies crushed by his own hands.

    Victus Natura (Chaos James)
    Role: Cleric

Wielding a great deal of defensive and healing magic, as well as a massive warhammer, Victus is more than capable of mending the brigade's wounds both during and after combat.

His motivation for joining the Brigade would be the chance to see the evil that Ganon spreads subduded, and because he can never turn down a good adventure.

    Sienna Denzrita (Guy)
    Roles: Armorer, Combat Expert

There is simply no better hand-to-hand combatant in the Brigade than "Sin." She is extremely proficient in virtually all forms of melee weaponry, wears platemail armor as if it was made of silk, and never falters in the face of danger. Her competence on the frontlines is unmatched, making her ideal to lead the party into battles.

Her other important role is that of armorer. It's just about the only thing she does well aside from kill, but she can craft amazing armor like there's no tomorrow. She will be tasked with providing the brigade with Goron+Zora armor, her goal being to outfit every member in it.

Her motivations for joining this brigade are to give her an excuse to kill, and give her a suitable outlet for her armor-crafting obsession. (A girl can only own so many different suits of armor before it becomes a little hard to store them all.)

    Gustav Grimm (Guy)
    Roles: Merchant, Funder

Simply put, none can match Gustav's ability to make pure rupees. He will be the primary funding force behind many of the brigade's exploits, alongside the donations from other members.

On top of that, any treasures which are no longer of use to the brigade can be sold quickly and effectively through his shop in Castle-Town for a decent amount of rupees.

His primary motivation for joining the brigade is to give him a purpose greater than himself, and give him an excuse to keep making cash without feeling the guilt of greed.

    Boris Lorean Delgado (WillowtheWhisp)
    Role: Herbalist

Specializing in the creation and use of potions, Boris will be able to support the brigade with elixirs which do everything from heal their wounds to explode their foes to let them fly.

His motivation for joining has... not yet been disclosed.

    Tent Emberwood (Guy)
    Role: Spellcaster

Specializing in fire magic, Tent can support the legion with a myriad of spells both on and off the field of battle. Cloaked in chainmail and wielding a flaming mace, he is also well-suited for the front lines.

Tent's primary motivation for joining the Brigade is because he's a bit of a numbnut who does what people tell him to do, and for some reason steadfastly believes, "It is Din's will."

    Dextra Denzrita (Guy)
    Role: Helmsman

Though she is a bit of a mage and a bit of a statue sculptor, Dextra is a truly hodge-podge of different qualities. At once she shares Dante's instinctive interest in machines and complexity, allowing her to function as a secondary engineer. Though shy, she is also very polite and a pleasure to be around, the sort of girl who would silently leave a cup of warm tea out for her comrades when they return to the GDFM. Above all, though, she yearns to help her friends. The best way she knows how to do this is always being there for them in the GDFM, at its helm.

Dextra's primary motivation for joining is to aid her siblings, Sienna and Guy, as well as her friend Tent, and help their comrades as well.

    Ruby Devilheart (Guy)
    Roles: Spy, Mediator

Though technically a Hylian of the Hyrulean Guard, Ruby (will in time) possesses a Deku Mask, and puts her duties to the Brigade at a level even higher than the Guard. Her power in the Guard allows her to know of the Hyrulean army's plans, keep in touch with news and politics, and on occasion manage to excuse the Legion's actions if they get caught stepping a little too far over the law.

Ruby has for years secretly wished to be a Deku Scrub, almost to the point of revering them. She has a strong sense of duty, and is more than happy just being a part of such a wonderful legion.

    Olias Sylpheed Storm (WillowtheWhisp)
    Role: Enchanter

It's assumed Olias will do... something... for some yet-to-be-determined reason.

Now then, if you want one of your characters to join this soon-to-be-founded Brigade, there are certain requirements:
    1. Above all, while in character, you must refer to other members of the Deku Brigade as, "comrade," on a decently often occasion. Officially, it is not the 'members' of the Deku Brigade, but the 'comrades.'

    2. You must be deemed a good role-player by at least WillowtheWhisp and myself. No exceptions. Usually, this means you must at least be a regular.

    3. At least one of your characters must have something to contribute to the Deku Brigade, and do so often. (For instance, although several of my characters are effectively useless, Gustav will be providing a great deal of rupees and Sienna will work to provide special armor for the entire brigade).

    4. You must have, or work to acquire, decent transportation to and from the GDFM which can be used by all of your characters even if they are alone.

    5. Every character must be a Deku Scrub... or transform into one as with a Transformation Mask while in the presence of comrades... or at least be of a similar race. Koroks, Kokiri, and Skull Kids who do not transform may be considered in special cases, if they have a great deal to contribute to the brigade.

    6. Your character must have an acceptable motivation for joining the legion.

If you can meet all those requirements and wish for a character of yours to join, then I suggest you post a reply to this thread declaring such.

Olias Storm will eventually be a bad ass enchanter (I have yet to do the write up for his skills and what not), that will eventually be able to permanently enchant the Deku Brigade's items

Motivation for joining is iffy, not sure what. Either a) he wants to kill Dante, but he approves of Dante's quest to destroy Ganon's forces, and therefore must wait; or b) travels with the Brigade so that he can travel across the land, and learn more and more about Enchanting. So he can remove his shackles

Ok... this giant flying machine. How big is it and how much is it going to cost?

Suitable for at least twelve Hylian passengers, and at least a thousand rupees. It will take up at least two major treasure slots--one for Dante and another for Guy.
