Recently we have been having trouble with spambots registering and doing stupid things on the board. So, if any of you guys see a spambot post, please notify me, Bitoko, or Guy whenever you see any of us three on and we will IP ban them. If none of us are on, I can be reached at davness@gmail.com , and I should be able to ban said bot within that same day, and hopefully within the same hour. The first one to report a spambot to me (or any admin), will gain a bonus of 10 rupees to be put into effect immediately. Thanks for everyone's hard work to keep HC going through its least busy months, and get ready for Impa soon here. I might be planning a small little event for this week, and next week, but we'll see how that goes. If it all goes according to plan, I'll have it out by Friday evening. Until then, happy spambot hunting! Edit: Okay, I lied, the event starts tonight! The rules are as follows: -There is a limit of one character per user, no exceptions. If your character is already within a quest, that character may leave that quest temporarily and may join this one. All quests are to resume normally after this event is completed. -This event will take place in one thread. If you are to join the quest, please post in the quest thread, and then post in the Northern Hyrule topic with the character you will be using. -Jagon will be posting once per day, at 11 PM Mountain Time, 10 PM Pacific. -There is no specific posting order. Everyone may post only once per day: if you do not, your post for that day is lost, though you can post on the next day. Jagon will not target a character whose user has not posted for that day. All posts must be made, for that day, before Jagon makes his daily post at 10 PM Pacific. - Jagon may not be controlled, although he is technically an NPC. Any other member of the Hellfire Company, the main antagonists of this quest, may be controlled by the players. Please be reasonable: these are trained warriors and are not to be taken lightly. There are approximately twenty five members of the company, including Jagon, all of different enemy races and skill levels. -Each day that passes, Jagon gets closer to Impa. Remember, this is not happening realtime. If the Hellfire Company is not attacked by next Tuesday, the warriors from Castle Town will intervene. Edit: -I am going to allow for characters already in quests to join this quest. They may be in "both" places at the same time, though it's up to you to intertwine this into the chronological order of your own roleplays. Re: Spam Accounts Chaos reported a bot to me, which had posted a silly advertisement involving (insert adult content here), which is what spurred this on, so he is to receive his ten rupees. Yay!
Re: Spam Accounts Oh, and by the way, the cut-off to join the quest is Friday at night, 12:00 AM Pacific Time. So, join up fast, before then!
Re: Spam Accounts Battlefield Report 01 Weather Report -Thunderstorms with Heavy Rain -Low Visibility Conditions, Approximately Thirty Yards. -Temperature: High Fifties and Low Sixties Field Conditions -Muddy, with Little Traction -General Visibility: Open Fields -Terrain: Low Hills Enemy Movement -The Hellfire Company's movements have stopped due to poor travelling conditions -Currently they are camped at the top of a hill, and have decided to dig trenches -A definite count has not been established yet, though numbers are approximately at twenty five enemy units. Several races have been spotted; most notably Moblins, followed by various lizardmen. Definite numbers, nor a full count of enemy races could be taken, due to the rain. A twenty foot radius picket has been established. Allied Supplies and Resources -All defenders will be supplied with basic armor upon request, though supplies of plate armor are limited. -The Impa store has been established. Available for purchase are bottles of Red Potion and every kind of seed. There is a limit of one of each of these items per person. Rupee costs are as normal. -In the event that a hero should fall, their soul may travel back to Impa and be resurrected. However, they will be weakened, and unable to return to the battle after some time. (OOC: If you have been resurrected, you must wait three days realtime before you may join the battle again. Each time your character dies, your rupee reward is reduced by 5 rupees, as a fee for resurrection. If at any point no characters are doing battle with Jagon, due to being resurrected, the battle has been lost.)
Battlefield Report 02 Weather Report -Light Rain -Moderate Visibility Conditions, Approximately One Hundred Eighty Yards. -Temperature: High Sixties and Low Seventies Field Conditions -Muddy, with Poor Traction -General Visibility: Open Fields -Terrain: Low Hills Enemy Movement -The Hellfire Company's movements resumed, albeit at a slow pace. -They have descended from the hill, but they have left a clear path for possible retreat. -A count of five horses has been established, each carrying a Moblin Rider. However, Aeralfos scouts, of an indeterminate number, have prevented scouts from approaching the force and completing a count. Allied Supplies and Resources -Refer to the previous Battle Report. -The store may be restocked every so often, as supplies continue to filter in, and Impa nears completion. These goods may be bought from the previous store mentioned, though a warrior may have to travel from the battlefield to make their purchase. Resurrected heroes may purchase items while they are present in the city of Impa. (OOC: All information contained within the Battle Reports is considered in context. I would also like to mention that some of you may have either misinterpreted the rules, or skimmed them; the NPC soldiers are to be controlled by you, the players, excluding Jagon. Here is a complete list of enemies: 10 Moblins 5 Dinalfos 5 Aeralfos 2 Wizzrobes 2 Darknuts This information may be used in your Out of Context planning, but your characters, thus far, will only know what has been released in the Battle Reports. To further illustrate the NPC control rule, Jagon will be controlling the NPCs of the Hellfire Company within his posts, though only on a macro, tactical scale. It is up to you, as individuals, to control the individual actions of the enemy that your character becomes engaged with. Please try to make this realistic, and difficult. If this is a problem, or you simply wish for a more difficult opponent/player controlled opponent, please request this here, and Jagon's posts will control your opponent in order to accommodate you. )
