I just want to point out, "Blacksmith" specifically refers to iron. One who can work with any metal is called, well, a metalsmith.

    Honor: Regular

    Name: Darius Smidyon

    Age: 37

    Gender: Male

Race: Goron (Refugee of the Goron Slums)

Place of Origin: Hyrule Castle Town

    PWC: 5/2/1

Treasures: Smith (racial perk), Power Lift (racial perk), Business (universal racial perk), Crafting (Outfitting) 4 (90 rupees), 10 rupees (which can go into the forge residence).

Height: Darius is not as gigantic as the legendary Goron smith Biggoron, but he is quite tall, standing imposingly at 7'4".

Weight: Darius is extremely heavy, even for a Goron, as the muscles he has built over his many years as a smith are exacerbated by the stone from which he is composed.

Equipment: Darius has a full metalsmith's set, from differing sized horseshoes and appropriate nails, the full set of anvil and hammers, to the large forge required for truly expert smithing. On those few rare occasions he is not in his forge, he is often equipped with a small metalsmith's set suitable for repairs and minor alterations only, with the occasional hammer he's adapted to be suitable for both smithing and combat.

Appearance: Following the traditional metalsmith physiology, his arms aren't as bulky as most people expect, instead being much longer than the average Goron, almost reaching his knees when he's slouched over. His legs are short, but very thick and bulky, making him look somewhat grotesque. His exceptionally broad shoulders and large stomach add to this.

Personality: Darius is quite happy and jovial most of the time, but is easily enraged when customers (or anyone really) tries to leave without paying, or simply steal anything he owns. He has made his life from his own two hands, with only the assistance of his mentor, the missing Goron smith Gardinia, and has made himself the most prominent metalsmith in the marketplace since his departure. On the one day off he takes per month, or on those days where he closes early to avoid injury, he walks along the slums, looking for a child willing and worthy of becoming the next in the line of smiths he himself is a part of.

Residence: Darius lives in the small basement below his smithy, relaxing in the dark, cool, and quiet region below the busy city marketplace he spends most of his time in.

Pet: None. Darius has never found the time to train a pet to be safe in the forge where he spends nearly all his time.

Backstory: Darius was born an orphan in the slums mildly deformed, with smaller legs, broader shoulders, and longer arms than the average Goron. This made him the perfect beggar, but a horrible thief or other gang member, meaning that he had nothing but a life of begging for existence ahead of him. This all changed when a fellow Goron taught him how to forge metal.

Gardinia of the Smidyon Smiths, born in the slums the same way as himself, had been adopted at a young age by a Hyrulean smith that had taught him how to meld the metal, bend it, and force it to his will. All this, he passed down to his new apprentice Darius, giving him the experience, skills, and tools he needed to forge a new life for himself away from the criminal hive that is the ghettos in Hyrule Castle Town. Darius was forever grateful, and kept asking Gardinia how he could repay him. Gardinia laughed it off, telling him to "work hard" and "keep up".

Darius did so, and noticed that Gardinia was undercharging somewhat for his services. He asked him why, gaining the reply "These skills I was given were a gift to me from a citizen of this town, from the goodness of his heart. I give these skills back in the form of my labour, and in the form of you."

When Darius reached the age of 25, Gardinia tested his skills, and proclaimed him a master metalsmith. At that point, he showed him the set of masterwork tools he had created for his apprentice, packed up his own set, and opened the door, nodding farewell to his apprentice as he stepped outside.

Darius ran to the door, calling to his master "But how can I pay you back for these tools, for these skills, for this life you have given me?"

Gardinia simply replied, "Remember where you came from. Remember what was given. Give back as I have done, and that will be your payment to me."

Gardinia turned his back, and has never been seen since by anyone Darius has spoken to.

Darius has followed his master's parting words ever since.

The term smith is often colloquially used to refer to blacksmithing, which in turn is commonly used as a coverall for metal working trades. As long as that is understood, and since the crafting page itself explains that blacksmithing covers working with metal materials, there shouldn't be any issues.

I don't see anything wrong here, though being considered a master smithy at twenty seems a little early. Nitpicking aside, though, this passes.

    YAY!
Also fairz enoughs to all of your comments.
I'm going to change that to 25, as it still works just as well, and 12 years feels somehow more "right" for the period of the disappearance.
My overly pendantism comes from the fact that I'll be doing English Language (etymology) next year, so I have to be this pedantic if I want to pass the exams.

    Skill update:
Due to how the crafting system has been updated, Darius is now limited to Outfitting individuals, as defensive armours make more sense for him to specialise in than weapons.
Actually no, although Darius is mostly defensive, I can't exactly see him as the type to use non-metal materials, and, well, although Outfitters CAN use metal, it makes less sense than a weaponsmith, because, well, smith.

Actually, no, outfitting is still the best bet.
