    Name: Dagoro Torock

    Age: 39

    Gender: Male

    Race: Goron

    Place of Origin: Goron Slums

    PWC: 5/1/2

    Rupees: 5

    Treasures:
    Jump Strike 30 rupees:
After leaping into the air, the user slams their weapon or a part of their body into the ground, sending out a shockwave several feet along the ground. (The exact distance of the shockwave is roughly equivalent to twice the user's height.) This shockwave will stun or trip most enemies who come in contact with it, damaging weaker ones.

    Mirror Shield 35 rupees:
This shield can vary widely in appearance, but always has a mystical and inexplicable reflective coating on the exterior. This coating is capable of perfectly reflecting not only light, but magical projectiles as well, and sending them back at their caster. (Magical projectiles are roughly defined as any projectile produced by a Spell, Skill, Technique, or Magical-field item (not to be confused with Magic-tier item).

    Bomb Bag 30 rupees:
A Bomb Bag is a small satchel, comparable in size to a honeydew, which can be attached to a belt or backpack. At any given time, the user can reach into this sack to inexplicably pull out a fist-sized bomb already lit with a fuse of about five seconds. It will explode violently, when the fuse runs out, but can also burst with a significant impact or enough heat. Strangely, this sack only functions when an individual bomb is pulled out one at a time--for instance, the user cannot simply dump out the would-be contents of the sack.

    Racial Abilities:

    Goron Punch:
The Goron's punches become significantly strengthened, equivalent to very roughly 50% more force packed into each blow. His fists will become momentarily ablaze when they rush through the air, capable of setting very flammable objects aflame.

As a Racial ability, this ability is automatically known by certain races of certain origin. Specifically, this includes all Gorons originating from Castle-Town or Death Mountain. However, if one is a Goron originating from elsewhere, or is of a separate race who transforms into such a race (as with a Transformation Mask), they will need to train and learn the ability as they would any other.

    Stone Skin:
Most adult Gorons have developed through their diet of rocks, their unique physiology, and physical condition, a skin surface akin to stone. This skin is capable of withstanding hefty blows, searing heat, chilling cold, and takes from them the need to breathe entirely. However, it also renders them incredibly heavy and weighs them down greatly, cutting down on their running speed and prevents them from being remotely buoyant in any liquid. Note that, although much damage is reduced and Goron skin can feel like stone, no attack that would harm a Hylian is completely negated against a Goron, only weakened somewhat.

As a Racial ability, this technique is automatically known by certain races. Specifically, this includes all Gorons. Like most racial abilities, it can also be earned by those of other races who have transformed into Gorons (as with a Transformation Mask), but must be earned as any other treasure.

    Height: 6’9”

    Weight: 494 lbs

    Equipment:

    Gorath the Smasher:
Forged by his own hands, Dagoro’s hammer is a mighty one. Dagoro’s Father was a blacksmith of tremendous talent, and throughout Dagoro’s life, tutored him in the ways of weapon making. Once Dagoro had reached the age of twenty years old, his Father decided the time had come for Dagoro to create a weapon of his own. Using everyday iron, and his father's forge, Dagoro crafted a mighty hammer, one that only a goron with great strength could wield with one hand. This hammer he named Gorath the Smasher.

    Mirror Shield:
Dagoro's Mirror Shield was acquired as a family heirloom. After Dagoro had created Gorath, his father saw it fit to bestow upon him the Torock family shield. This shield's surface is that of a mirror, not of glass, but of a polished precious metal. The Torock Shield, as it is called, has been in Dagoro's family for generations, and has traditionally been passed down to each eldest son. Having no brothers, Dagoro was destined to own this shield.

    Appearance:

Large in stature, and relatively big compared to other Gorons, Dagoro is sure to intimidate. Through his vigorous blacksmithing with his father, he has grown very strong, increasing his muscular bulk and overall size.

Being a goron, Dagoro's skin and features are made of rock, giving him a very rough appearance. On top of his head are small ridges of grey stone, being the goron equivalent to hair, and around his chin are more grey rock formations, giving him a jagged looking beard. Just to the left of Dagoro's left eye is a large scar, originating from a vicious wound sustained during the battle for Goron City, stretching from his eyebrows to his jawbone. His forehead slants down into his eyes, causing him to put off a very serious demeanor.

As most gorons have, Dagoro also has a very large, rock hard belly, which supports a very strong, upper body. Large, muscular arms emerge out of his strong pectorals, effectively showing the raw power he possesses. On each of his biceps, Dagoro has the symbol of the Gorons tattooed, keeping true to his pride in his people. Around his wrists are iron bracelets, and around his waste and lower torso is the only piece of clothing Dagoro adorn, being trousers made of dodongo leather.

Also akin to the other members of his race, Dagoro's back sports a very jagged, rocky surface. While his belly and underside may be vulnerable to attack, Dagoro's back is very thick and hard to penetrate. This protection has saved his life on more than one occasion, and it has the scars to show it.

    Residence:

Dagoro has no real residence. Having been forced from his home in Death Mountain, he journeyed to Hyrule Castle-Town and spent some time there in the slums. While he occasionally returns there, Dagoro spends most of his time wandering about, curling under whatever shelter he can find when nightfall ensues. Occasionally he will even cull up in the open fields, lying his hammer and shield underneath him; most passersby do not even realize he is there, assuming him to be a boulder.

If there was one place that he would call his home, it would be the former Goron Rock Candy shop in Hyrule Castle-Town's Goron Slums. This place was one he and his father used to visit in his youth, but since Ganon's attack, he and his father took residence here. Goroth, Dagoro's father, is taken care of here by other Goron.

    Pet:

Dagoro has a pet dog, named Duke. Dagoro and Duke met around three years ago while Dagoro was traveling from Nabooru to Castle-Town. Duke is a very large dog, being about the size of a hylian male while he stands on his hind legs. While this dog is very large, he is also very friendly, unless one provokes him or threatens he or Dagoro.

Aside from Duke's large size, this dog is also a very shaggy one. Long silky hair covers his muscular body in grey, black, and white patterns. One of his eyes is brown, while the other is blue. Duke can be compared to a very large, shaggy modern day husky.

    Backstory:

Tonight was a brisk one. Thin chilly air whipped around the plains of Hyrule Field in the dusk, as, settled on a hill to the south of Castle-Town, Dagoro sat and gazed at the mountain that he and thousands of his brothers had once called home. For much of the evening he had sat in silence, pondering his past and dwelling on the present, and as the sun had gone down several hours ago, Dagoro had remained very still with his back against the large oak tree.

Hmph, he breathed. So many memories had been swirling around his head, some painful, some joyous. Nearly forty years ago, Dagoro had been born in the City under that mountain, a city that had once been a peaceful stronghold, but was now pit of evil. His childhood had been a good one, too, or at least he had thought so. He had been raised by his father, Goroth, who had become known as one of the best goron blacksmiths in all of Goron City, and had annexed a shop to their home when Dagoro was young. For his whole life, Dagoro had remembered the sound of his father working long hours in their shop, the sound of clanking metal. This sound had become one that soothed Dagoro, and as he thought of it, he imagined hearing it in the distance.

Suddenly Dagoro felt a very cold nose nudge his shoulder, his dog, Duke, whined as he sought for Dagoro's attention. With his line of thought interrupted, Dagoro put his arm around his dog and began to pet its belly. "At least I have you, Duke," he said. Duke looked up at Dagoro, licking his rough, stony face. "Aha, your a good boy."

Dagoro continued to rub his dog's belly as he slowly began to turn his attention back to his thoughts. Why did it happen? He asked himself, why couldn't we hold him off? These recent thoughts reflected on the assault of Ganon upon his beloved mountain. For three years, he, his father, and hundreds of other Gorons fought to defend their homes against he darkness of Ganon's armies. They were successful, too, at least, until the Dark Lord took it upon himself to overtake Goron City. A large boom filled the thin air as Dagoro hit the dirt with his fist in anger, Duke jumped up at the noise, alarmed.

"I'm sorry buddy," Dagoro assured his dog. "I shouldn't be angry, we did the best we could." A tear began to well up in his eye, as he thought of the destruction that had befell his home and the state it had left his father in. Memories once again began to flood his mind. Memories specifically of his father and the life they had shared before Ganon's invasion. At a young age, Goroth had taken Dagoro into the shop, placed a hammer into his hand, and taught him how to craft the most basic items of iron. It was important to his father, that the family tradition was passed on to his offspring. From this early age, Dagoro learned the tricks of the trade, becoming fairly skilled and extremely strong because of the work. Although he never used it as a trade, blacksmithing had become something he enjoyed to do with his father.

On occasion, Goroth would take his son to Hyrule Castle-Town, bringing weapons and armor to outfit the Hyrule Castle Guard. Dagoro loved this, these trips had become some of his fondest memories. He remembered his Father and him going to a special goron rock candy shop in the merchant district of Castle-Town. There he and his father enjoyed the finest goron rock candy he had ever had the opportunity to taste, though, now that he thought of it, that shop had become the home to many war stricken Goron.

All of his thoughts seemed to lead back to that one, fateful day; the day Ganon entered the halls of Goron City. Dagoro remembered it well, as the day had started as any other of the past three years, with many feeble attempts of moblin and stalfos attackers were turned away like water against a giant rock. Goroth was on the front lines that day, making short work of the monsters attempting to make it to the city's inner halls. It was near one o'clock and it was Dagoro's turn to replace his father in the battle, however this did not happen. As Dagoro had rounded the corner to face the entrance of the City he began to smell a terrifying oder, one that caused his sinuses to burn and his eyes to water. For a few moments he had no idea what was happening, where was this stench originating from? Suddenly he heard the cry's of many goron warriors, as they were crushed by the King of Evil's hammer. Looking up, Dagoro saw him, Ganon, in all of his evil glory.

Truly stricken by fear, beholding the monstrosity before him was something Dagoro will never forget. Ganon looked like a hog from hell; long twisted horns stretched out of his skull, fiery orange eyes pierced all that gazed upon them. Garbed in an ancient evil armor, and carrying a dreadful giant hammer, Ganon bulldozed his way into Death Mountain. It took several moments before Dagoro had gotten a hold of his composer and began to debate on whether or not to challenge the King of Evil. Grabbing his hammer, Dagoro began to walk closer to Ganon, when then he noticed that his father, Goroth Torock, stood right in Ganon's path. Dagoro screamed, yelling at his father to come to him. Hearing his son, Goroth fell into a ball and began to roll towards his son, when suddenly Ganon swatted him with his hammer, sending him flying. Goroth flew threw the air, rolled in a ball, and slammed against the wall above Dagoro's head. Softly his father landed on the floor next to him.

"Dad," Dagoro said, weakly. "Dad.... Dad. Come on, get up." As Dagoro said this, he noticed his father mumble something as his body twitched. "Father!"

Dagoro ran to his father, helping him sit up and unravel himself. It was then that Dagoro realized a horrifying truth, his father would never be the same. "Dag..." his father whispered.

"Yes, father," said Dagoro, crying. His father was paralyzed, and slightly brain damaged.

"I.. I cannot move," wheezed Goroth. "I... I love you son." The sound of Ganon's hoofs was getting louder, he was approaching them.

"Come on Dad, we have to go, now," whispered Dagoro. Placing his hammer on his back, and hoisting his father over his shoulder, Dagoro quickly fled Death Mountain to the North. Shortly after exiting the mountain, Dagoro remembered the only place he would feel safe enough to take his father, Hyrule Caslte-Town. It had to be nearly seventy miles away, such a long way to carry his father, but he had to do it.

Needless to say, after an arduous, five day long journey, Dagoro and his Father arrived within the walls of Hyrule Caslte-Town. Alongside hundreds of other Goron, Dagoro carried Goroth to the Merchant District in Castle-Town, going to the only place he knew, the Goron Rock Candy Shop. When he entered the shop, he noticed that fifteen other displaced goron and their families had fled their too, seeking food and shelter. Many of them were pleading for Rock Candy, however, there was none left to give them. Dagoro let his father down on the floor, and went to tell the store keeper his story. It was determined that Dagoro and his father, Goroth, would have residence in the shop along with the shop keeper and his son. To this day, Goroth lives with Tango and his son, Forgor, whom do very well in taking care of Dagoro's Father.

Once again, Duke interrupted Dagoro's line of thought by crawling onto his lap, trying to gain shelter from the cold wind. Dagoro put his hand on his dog's head, petting it gently. Thoughts of his recent past slipped through his mind. Of his travels around Northern Hyrule, of meeting Duke outside Nabooru, and of his plans to seek vengeance on the evil that covered the South. Perhaps he could help with Impa, the new town the King of Hyrule proposed to build, although he would much rather be in Southern Hyrule crushing Moblin skulls.

Oh well, he sighed. At least he and his father were still living, and he had Duke. It was late, already past mid-night, and he was beginning to slip into unconsciousness. Gently he slid Duke off of his lap, and curled up next to him, drifting off to sleep.

Relatively good, as one would hope to expect from HC's founder. Accepted.
