    Name:
    Clarence Clearwater

    Age:
    27

    Gender:
    Male

    Race:
    Hylian

    Place of Origin:
    Hyrule Castle Town

    Residence:
Clarence lives inside the Academy of Sages. His personal chambers are reached via a door in his office. The door is usually locked and can only be opened with a key that Clarence often loses in the mountains of paper scattered in his office.

As much as he loves clean spaces, his office is a disaster. While nearly dust and dirt free, every single flat surface has heaps of paperwork and reports piled up on them.

    Pet:
    None

    PWC:
    2/5/2

    Treasures:
    Perks:
    • Magic Proficiency
    • Rupee Riches
    Treasures:
    • Arcane Bolt
    • Nayru's Affection
    • Spark
    • Water Control (Reach, Size)
    • Din's Burst
    • Rejuvenation
    Equipment:
Being a teacher and headmaster, and not an adventurer, Clarence carries around very little. He is sometimes seen wielding a tall golden staff when demonstrating spells to students, though he just as often uses his hands to cast spells.

    Rupees:
    133

    Height:
    1,84 metres

    Weight:
    71 kilos

    Appearance:
Clarence is an elegant man to see, with a tall and slender build. He has an pleasant oval face and clear, bright blue eyes, as well as the pointed ears of a northern Hylian, the tips of which peep out from between his hair. His long golden hair often freely falls down his back, though it is not uncommon for Clarence to tie it into a messy braid when he needs to keep it out of the way.

Most of the time he wears a pair of gold-rimmed oval reading glasses, as he spends much of his time reading and reviewing tests and reports. He doesn't really bother taking them off anymore, as he has found out they stay cleanest and are the least likely to get lost or damaged if he keeps them on his face.

His wardrobe consists of long robes, often knee- or calf-length in various shades of blue. The one he most often wears is a dark blue one, with long trailing sleeves. It reaches about mid-calf, showing a thin strip of the trousers underneath, as well as a pair of leather boots. The outfit is finished off with a short jacket on top of the robe, the Academy's insignia embroidered on the shoulder and more elaborately on the back.

    Personality:
In general, Clarence is a friendly, slightly quiet man. Amongst students he is known as a strict but fair teacher. Amongst staff members of the Academy and those outside of it, he has a more easygoing attitude, perhaps even a shy one. He is still relatively inexperienced in his role as headmaster, and feels a little lost in life at times. He feels a lot of pressure to live up to his predecessors' reputations, as well as the expectations of the older and more experienced staff. Clarence is terrified of not living up to those expectations and failing, though he hides this behind a kind smile and friendly words.

Although it is extremely rare for the headmaster to be prompted to anger, and ever rarer, to violence, Clarence is fiercely protective of his school, its staff and its students. He devotes himself to their wellbeing, often personally taking up tasks to help out those connected to the Academy.

    Backstory:
Clarence is the academy's headmaster and also one of its teachers, just like his father and grandfather before him. Coming from a long line of mages, magic has always come naturally to him. He grew up in a wealthy family in Castle Town, mainly living with his mother as his father resided at the school and only came home when the school closed for holidays. Clarence's relationship with his father has never been a particular great one, it seemed his father cared more about raising him as an excellent mage and successor than as his own son. His father's training was rough and he often made his son practice until he collapsed from exhaustion, or, in the case of practicing the Clearwater family's special talent with water, often to the point where Clarence fainted from dehydration. Even now Clarence has achieved the goal his father had in mind for him, their relationship stays strained. The fact that Clarence is taking a more progressive way with the school and is talking about teaching the Water Control ability to students isn't making it any better.

At age 11, he was send to study at the academy, where his father was headmaster, having just replaced Clarence's grandfather. He was known as a brilliant and hardworking student, albeit very quiet and not very good with people. When he came home in vacations, studying didn't stop, as his father kept teaching him, hoping he would become a great mage and eventually be able to become his successor as headmaster. As a result of always studying and socializing very little, Clarence made few friends and still has trouble socializing with others. It doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate company or attention, but just that he has a hard time starting a conversation and dealing with people in general. Strangely enough, this never seems to be a problem when teaching.

He finished academy at 18, travelled abroad to brush up on practical uses for his magic and returned a year later to start as teacher. His first job at the academy was that of trainee teacher, of the class General Spells, which taught spells such as fire, ice and wind to beginning students. He kept this job for two years before he became a full-fledged teacher, and another two years later he moved on to become teacher of the Advanced Spells class. All the while he kept studying to become headmaster, as his father wanted.

Everything seems good to me. Will already approved your character in and of itself, so that's fine. Your math checks out, and the three WC tiers have been accepted and moved into the Library proper.

Normally, the prereq and pricing of the WC tiers would make it impossible to obtain more than one tier at once. Since this is character creation, however, and not an actual thread, I think it should be fine. If another Staffer knows differently, however, then they are free to post and say so. Otherwise, this passes.
